I'm a student at Noxferd academy, the most famous magic academy knowing for being strict, punishing and harsh, but accepting any kind of student. That resulted into me, Karealo, attending it. I live here, and my life is hard, I get bullied due to my magic level beeing 2, and I've never had friends. Most of my class are either royal or control an element, unlike me, a nobody. In 1 month, our teacher said that we will have familiars. I think it's a kind of magic creature. My dorm is basic, I've heard the royals have vip dorms. so that's unfair I guess..... 1 day I wake up in my dorm, I look at my calender: 1970 21th March. I go out, in the hallway. I think to myself: "What if my familiar is powerful, and I'm gonna get popular?, what if I finally be able to-", my thought got interrupted by me bumping into the popular girl in my class.
The girl had silver-white hair and icy blue eyes, she controls ice magic as an element and has very rich parents, I think this is the first time she talked to me. "Watch where your going, dickhead", she says before her friends start to laugh. "I- I'm sorry", I try to say but she interrupts me again and says: "Do you even know who I am?, I am the daughter of Fivera Veylath!, oh wait, your that little pest who doesn't even have parents!" I try to scream at her but she pins me to
an wall and says: "I would be careful, level 2. Levels like you will have an gruesome life here, but I guess you don't know what I am talking about, because you do not have parents to explain to you...., but even if u had, I don't think they would like u, at all." She lets go of me and and goes away with her laughing friends, leaving me angry but confused:"Why did she immediately started bullying me, she didn't even talked to me before, did she knew I'm poor? But what's more important: Why is it bad for me when I'm gonna summon a familiar with low magic level? Will it not work or will the familiar kill? But before I could think more I realized I'm too late for my class.
The next few days weren't different, just another group of bullies making my life harder. 1 day they locked my door while I slept, forcing me to escape out of the window trough the stormy and rainy day to the class, just to see half of my class laugh at me, and my teacher not believing my story, due to the door suddenly being normal, gave me double homework, just that the same thing happend tomorrow, just with an female laugh that woke me up. Another time, they posioned my water with something that made me talk backwards that luckily the teacher got fixed, but still gave me extra homework for "Using spells on yourself is not allowed". I don't know why the girls are doing this to me, they always laugh when it happens or I see them looking out of the windows at me struggling against the rain.

I wake up one morning on sunday at 5 am, to make sure nothing bad happens, I checked my drink and the hallway outside of my dorm, then looked at the calender: 19th April: Tomorrow will be the familiar summoning. I'm kinda happy and nervous, I hope I'm gonna get free from the suffering. But I'm scared, because what the girl said. It was a mysterious day: The first grader of the high school were nervous. The bully girls were almost the whole day in the corner talking, and I've heard names like Trebour or Krolo, trebour is my classmate who is level 4 magic level and I do not know who krolo is. Then, it was already evening and I went to bed.
The next day, I got woken up by the director: "you need to come now!", he said gesturing. I followed him through the halls until we reached an dark basement with almost all classmates and some wooden, old chairs. "I will get the others", he said going away. Trebour was there too, is the director gonna bring krolo next? But once he came back with 2 classmates I knew that weren't Krolo. Suddenly I understood: They probably meant me: Kraelo, and I've overheard them. What's gonna happen? Why are a few boys crying in the corner, 1 of them Trebour, and why are some girls excited? I got scared, rerembering kids talking that in other academys they summoned familiars in an classroom, but this is an cold basement, and there isn't an magic circle or anything. My thoughts got interuptted by the director letting an adult in, and going away locking the door. "Everyone sit down, rank 1 to 5 left, rank 6 to 10 right", he said. "For those who don't know, the lower ranks will be the higher ranks familiars, wether they like it or not." I let out an loud scream, but he continues louder: "Familiars are an servant, slave or partner to their master ot mistress. They are gonna be their owner and they will need to follow their orders." I know now what the girl talked about. Who is gonna pick me? "The familiar can only talk to their master or mistress. The master or mistress will choose their new form, new name and how many memories will be erased." "MEMORIES ERASED?", I scream but he continues and I realize the girls are laughing: "The familiars are gonna help their masters in everyday life, hard work or with magic, if the familiar is not following their order, then they'll get punished, Oh and also, the familiars form, the master or mistress chooses, will look a bit like their owner. The higher the owners rank, the more powerful they'll become. The form can almost be anything, the higher rank, the more options. There is no punishment for what the owners do to their familiars. However, keep in mind that if the owner dies, the familiar does too."..... "The owners please choose their familiar now, their new form, name and how many memories are gonna be erased, in their dorm, the familiars dorm will be removed."
The sliver haired girl with ice magic, immediately wentw to me and pinned me roughly to an wall: "You are my familiar", she says strightly, before dragging me harshly towards the now open door: I try to scream but nothing comes out.
"I'l be a familiar? A servant? A slave? A goddamn pet?!"
