In the morning is another new day in this world. Keal got up and Oilver was nowhere to be found. Keal doesn't think of it since it gets better to worry about the academy that is to unlock his other ability. So Keal dressed up in the academy uniform and decided to go to the library for more information.

Keal walked to the library but during the way there Keal walked past the training grounds and surprisingly a lot of students practiced there. 'I guess, people really take this academy seriously. They seem to train very hard.' Keal just put this matter behind him as he continued walking. Thanks to the map from the website he found the library easily and when he finally got there he was surprised to see a lot of students there too, not as much as in the training grounds but enough to make the library table almost full.
The librarian, a white hair lady who looked like she was in her mid 50's, greeted Keal. "Welcome student, I am professor Selene and I am in charge of the library. May I see your student ID please?"
Keal showed his students which the librarian nodded after confirming it and warning Keal. "Remember to keep quiet so you don't bother other students."
Keal nodded at the warning as he was about to walk, stopping mid step. "Excuse me, Professor Selene, which section of anything related to mana."
Selene raised her eyebrow. "You need to be more specific, student Keal."
Keal thought a bit. "Maybe the basics about mana."
Selene smiles and points to the left. "It is in section one the history section and to the left on the top."
Keal bowed his head and thanked Selene as he walk to section one where Selene told him to. He looks through the books on the shelf and finally finds what he's looking for, the title 'The basics of the mana' and 'The history of mana'. Keal takes the books before finding an empty seat alone in the corner before he starts reading.
After 10 or 20 minutes of reading Keal understood that this world was just a normal world 100 years ago until suddenly a portal appeared and inside the portal there was a monster. The humanity weapon only worked against the weaker monster while it was useless against the stronger one. Of course not all hope is lost when the portal also mana appears to fill this world with magic and allows it to cultivate them to get stronger on superhuman level to fight the monster.
Keal thought a bit. 'Mmm, it says here that by slaying monsters it drops their core which allows humanity to absorb the mana inside to get stronger. Of course other ways to absorb mana like meditate or breathing the mana in the environment but it is slow. Could this be a way to unlock my other ability?.'
"Hey bro, what's yo-"
Keal was reading by himself as suddenly a person grab his shoulder which freak Keal out. Keal then go in defense mode he swing his elbow to the person behind which turn out to be Oilver but Keal couldn't stop his elbow fast enough as it hit Oilver in the face. Oilver feel the pain on his face as he holding back his pain try to hard not make noise because of fear of the librarian professor Selene wrath. But the commotion also make the other students and Selene to turn their head to Keal and Oilver direction.
Keal bow his head and apologize to the other students for this accidentally and disturb them which makes the other students go back to their business as Keal turns back to Oilver after realizing it was him. Keal whispered. "Sorry Oliver, are you good? I didn't know it was you."
Oilver rub it off as he seat next Keal he still feel Sting. "It fine it was my fault anyway for suddenly back you. But anyway I see you also here to prepare yourself for the exam."

Keal was confused and asked."What exam?."
Oilver notice Keal confusion and raise his eyebrows and ask. "You don't know about the exam in the next ten days."
Keal shake his head. "I thought that when class starts in the ten days. Don't tell me we get a surprise exam on the first day."
Oilver smile. "You exactly right. Let me explain it was originally a test for students to be always prepared and ready. But a lot of the nobles always try to buy info about this academy form the older students so most of the nobles children were prepared and train for it but of course it was unfair for the commoner so the academy no longer hide the info to make it fair by Post it on the website."
'Fuck, I too focus on how to unlock my other ability and forgot to check the news.' Keal curse in mind. "I see, so do you have any idea what the exam is about."
Oilver smile."I may know but come on man, I can't give you for free and since we are roommates I will sell you this info with a discount."
Keal acted like he was hurt and sad. "Come on bro, like you said we are roommates, how could you take advantage of me like don't you know I'm just an orphan."
Oilver roll his eyes. "Brub, I was joking okay. there is no need to take out the orphan card. I don't know how difficult it is but the exam is about survival." Oilver finish his sentence someone 'accidentally' bump his head. Oilver turn his and see a face he knows.
After a few seconds of staring the person says with a mocking voice. "I'm sorry I didn't notice you were there." The person doesn't even wait for Oilver as he starts to walk away while mumbling to himself but loud enough for Keal and Oilver to hear. "Fuckin, loser."
After the person is gone, Keal looks at Oilver. "What the fuck was that? Do you know him.?"
Oilver his head. "I do know him but we are not friends."
"He seems like a dick." Said Keal
"Damn bro, I mean he is a dick but I am surprised you have the guts to call him." Said Oilver.
"Why is he someone important?." Said Keal.
"Wait, you don't know Ashpen." Said Oilver.
"Who?" Said Keal
Oilver look at Keal he realizes Keal isn't lying. "Okay let me explain you should know the the royal family right."
Keal nodded reminded the prince form the awakening event as Oilver continue. "Well, royal family is one of the main power in the kingdom there other five great family which call the five great duke and duchess. Aspen is from one of the great five families, the dragonborn family. A family ability related to dragon."
"And his problem with you because of??" Keal asked.
Oilver turn his head away form Keal eyes. "Because I already form one of the five great family and his family and my family is rivals but my ability rank is not great or high so my reputation in the nobles community is not great thank to him."
"Wow, just wow you form one of the great families and still try to take advantage of me as an orphan." Keal said.
Oilver sheesh at Keal word. "Brub, I say it was a joke, okay. I am surprised you are not afraid after knowing who he is or who I am."
"Well, is he going to attack me or you attack me?." Keal ask
Oilver confused by Keal question. "What, no why would I attack you and the same thing with Ashpen why would he also attack even if I or he attack you we would get in trouble with the academy because they very serious about their rule."
"Then why would I be afraid or worried? .... So now what? "said Keal.
"I don't know. Are you done studying? Do you want to get some food?" Said Oilver.
"I am flatter but I am not into guys." Said Keal
"You know that not I mean." Said Oilver
"I was just joking. okay let go. But you paying right" Said Keal
Oilver eyes twitch a bit but he signed. "Alright fine." He thought to himself 'why am the one who pay when you literally the one who hit me? And I just get insulted too. Whatever Let just go.'

After six days have passed Keal has been doing training and he has learned mana breathing which allows to absorb mana to give the silver light inside his inner world. The process was slow but he could feel it working so he continued. He doesn't give it the dark purple one because he has a suspicion that it is related to darkness which this world is not a fan of dark magic stuff so he decided to unlock this one first to see if other people notice he has multiple cores or not.
As right now Keal is in his room meditating as he felt the same feeling back then when he Awakened for the first time after the feeling was over Keal opened his stats window.
