I came to my first therapy appointment just before noon. It was simple, I just had to answer some questions regarding my physical condition, before doing light physical stretching and movement as a way to build my body back up for around half an hour. Leaving the hospital after noon, I decided to take the time to enjoy... I never really had the chance or opportunity to go out like a normal high school student, or a student in general. I've heard other students and their lives, and quite honestly, I envied them a little...
Especially with how my image, or the image they think of the Imperial Advisors are... Well - they weren't completely wrong, but they weren't right either. We were quite well off, but we didn't live excessively luxurious lives. Though the one thing they were right on was our ck of time - or my ck of time. I had basically no time compared to Goldia, and even then, she was busy as all the potential candidates have to practice and study. Only after I was selected, did her lessons begin to ease.
So... Was it too much to ask for me to enjoy myself a little?
I wore a modest outfit. With what was in my room, I wore a clean-white blouse under a very light purple, shoulderless dress. With white stockings under, I had what I thought was a pretty, yet modest outfit befitting my looks... Though I really only cared about the modest appearance - I still couldn't take it upon myself to wear anything that revealed excess skin as a girl. Putting on light makeup I learned from online, I was confident and happy in my looks.
With me leaving my appointment a little after noon, I decided to go to the South Astoria Central Commerce Mall. From where Thersia District was, I just had to take the line north to get to the Southern Astoria - one of the four massive districts surrounding the ke our capital, Astoria, was built on.
North would bring me to Astoria, south would bring me away. South Astoria was only two stops away - as our house was nearby, at Arcastea District, which was mainly a residential area. Thersia District was more built up with businesses - our school being there, alongside bustling businesses. The main city of Astoria was heavily built up, with towering skyscrapers and modern buildings. North Astoria was the only different Astoria District, having historic buildings alongside modern buildings, and being the nearest to Astoria Castle.
The station at Thersia was a mostly functional station unlike the station at Arcastea. Thersia's station was pretty artistic though; although between them, I prefer the Arcastea Station with its park.
... thinking about it, I never really rode trains before... I always rode in precoordinated rides, so this peaceful ride just after noon felt peaceful and rexing...
"Passengers, we will be arriving at Revence Street Station in South Astoria, please prepare passengers to board and disembark." The train's loud speakers announce our soon-to-be arrival, and I get ready to leave.
I left the train. Looking around the station as I left, it was packed... Well, I was going into Astoria - the capital city -, so I suppose it was going to be busy as people began leaving work back home. Looking above, at the exit I saw the ironic coat of arms - a shield, white with yellow diamonds and a silver outline around it; a pure-silver sword with its bronze handle and dark-iron hilt; and the golden flower, Goldis, that adorned the top left of the coat of arms as its hallmark symbol - the coat of arms of the Waltsia Family. The Imperial Counsel Advisor of Military and Justice, the protectorate and judge of all in this city, and all in this country.
"..." I walked onwards - not as protector of this country, but simply as a normal girl now.
From busy streets, I followed the directions my phone gave me on foot, eventually reaching the fabled South Astoria Commerce Mall. I've been here for 'official business' before on the 5th level, which was not public, but I never found it in myself to go explore the mall... much to the dismay of the other 'two' Advisors.
... not to say the other two had no responsibility, but the Imperial Counsel Advisor of Military and Justice was certainly a much, much - much - busier position than the other two; the Imperial Counsel Advisor of Tradition and Ceremony, and the Imperial Counsel Advisor of Sovereign and Civil Affairs...
Regardless, we all were still held as equals - bances of power between the three, and a check upon the civil governance as a 'neutral perspective', free from the scheming of the civil authorities and their constant vying for power and wealth. After all, we served the Empress's will - no one else.
Just from one entrance, I saw the grandeur of the mall. A massive building, with a massive, snted wall-roof of gss. The entrance going into the mall was a seemingly scenic green park, filled to the brim with people even during the busy hours of work. It was an elegant, modern design that incorporated artificial green through the park with the building. I walked through the park into the mall, and was met with a massive indoor park with trees and pnts, as well as an artificial pond and creek. I walked through the indoor park illuminated by the sun shining through the snted gss windows, arriving at the tilework that began the aisles of the storefronts.
... despite coming here, I had no particur destination in mind... I was mindlessly walking around, walking towards a strange feeling I felt... I couldn't describe it, but it was a faint tingly feeling, like an attraction—,
"Hey there girly." I keep walking—ah? "You know it's rude to ignore others, right?"
"... it's rude to touch others as well..." Two guys - university aged. I immediately tense up, breaking contact with the guy's who had his hand on my shoulder.
"Ah, but I was just trying to get your attention—." As the guy spoke and walked towards me, I back up instinctively...
... could I?... then the realization hit me that I was in this weakened body - there was little hope... I quickly gnced around the crowd of people nearby, no one's eyes paid any attention to me.
"We can take you out - get something nice to eat, give you a good time." Utter disgust - just hearing his words made my insides shiver...
"No, I am fine." I curtly reply, before turning to walk—,
"Consider it with us!" As the other guy grabbed my wrist, I looked around again - no one...
I twisted my wrist to try and undo his grasp, but to no avail.
This odd tingly feeling I felt before became stronger, linked towards a direction... yet, with what was happening now, my mind was worried about something else - an utter sense of discomfort came through me as my eyes looked at the two men harassing me... I thought of all my options—,
"If I may, could you let go of my sister's friend?" I look at the source of that familiar voice and this weird tingly feeling - Desnyoon?
The guy who held my wrist loosened it a little, but upon identifying Desnyoon for who he was, they let go and quietly and ran off.
With them gone, I looked over at Desnyoon while holding my wrist that was just grabbed... What was an Imperial Counsel Advisor doing here? Well—regardless, "Thank you, Asterisia." I courteously bow - after all, he was quite literally a public figure and face of our country.
"You are fine, girl - I just felt something. Coming here, I saw you alongside those two and just decided to intervene." Desnyoon said.
I stood back up, straight, after bowing. There was little need to interact with him further - plus...
... if it was anyone, there was likely only five people who could trace any habits back to me, 'Yesen'... Him - Asterisia Desnyoon -, Releris Keiko - the Imperial Advisor of Sovereign and Civil Affairs -, Goldia, and the two twin Empress...
"You look a little lost - are you looking for somewhere in particur?" I turn back after beginning to walk away, looking at Desnyoon.
"No..." I replied - though... Well, I suppose if Desnyoon is here, "Though - apologies, this is my first time here. Would there be any pces that you recommend, Asterisia?" I politely ask.
"..." Desnyoon looked at me, judgingly... I couldn't really tell what he was trying to judge about me, but I felt him intently observing me— "On the second floor, there's a pce my sister goes to with her friends called Fleta’s Crepefe. I can't say much about it, but I am sure you likely will find it fine."
I noticed the stares of others nearby noticing the disguised Desnyoon talking with me. "Thank you Asterisia, I apologize for taking your time." I courteously bow,
"Don't think too much of it - I just had some free time as well. I hope you enjoy your visit here." With that we both went our ways, and this tingly feeling I felt waned as we separated.
... free time... Must be nice... even if I doubted he actually was here because he had 'free time'...
I made my way forward until I found an escator to the second floor. I went up to the second floor and found a directory, and began making my way to the pce Desnyoon mentioned. Navigating through the crowds, I found the pce - Fleta's Crepefe. It appeared to be a cafe with elegant clean bakery-brown colored walls alongside white shelves with flour bags. From the windows outside, the gss counter showcased all the bakery products... they did look good, truth be told...
I decide to go in - I didn't eat lunch, and everything here looked good... No - that definitely was not the main reason I went in—I,
"Welcome to Fleta's Crepefe!" A girl wearing a bck dress alongside a white apron greeted me. The dress was long, yet modest, and the apron looked stylish as well with a lot of frills on it. On her head was a matching white hairband with a lot of frills. "Are you coming in for us today?" She asked in a very bright, upbringing manner.
"Yes." I nodded. "Please lead the way." I said as I followed the girl inside the cafe, towards the seating and tables.
"Thank you!" Those crepes were really good... For that matter, everything was really good. I was never really someone who enjoyed sweets, but... Well, maybe this body had a craving for them that I never knew.
"Likewise, as well. Fleta's Wishes, come again." An older, more mature girl in the cafe's modest uniform said as I left the cafe. I felt fulfilled leaving this pce. I would love to come back here eventually; it had a nice atmosphere inside, had delicious sweets, and sweet drinks.
I pnned to visit clothing stores and look around. I looked at my phone to get the time, "15:33." As long as I got back by 18:00, I would still be able to cook for Cecelia. If not... I could probably just bring back something for both of us to eat.
I wandered around the mall window shopping until something caught my eye. "An arcade." I piqued my interest; I never had any experience that could be considered... all fun. "Haha~," I always remembered hearing people talk about going to one. I looked at the open entrance, and saw the machines inside with all their glows and colors, as well as some people in there ughing and smiling...
Perhaps that was what sold me. I walked inside, and was met with a counter and a man with a casual outfit. "Greetings miss - how may I help you at Cyrus's Entertainment?"
"Ano..." I pulled out my wallet, "How do I py these... machines?" I pointed over to the machines in the arcade.
"Ah, of course. Let me help you." The man then expined to me how it worked.
Each machine costs points to use. I could get a card here and put points onto it to py these machines, or I could buy a card that held unlimited points for the day to use at the machines, at a reasonable price. I didn't pn to stay too long, so I just loaded a card with some points.
"Thank you, if you need more points come to the desk and we can help you load more points into your card miss."
I nod before looking around the arcade...
I found a machine that looked like a driving game. It had a picture of a cute looking character on the side of the machine, so I was a little interested in what it was. Looking at the screen, it had what seemed to be a race pying, but I had no control of that race when I moved the steering wheel. I went to sit in it, "It's... awfully rge." I looked below to see if I could adjust the seat, and to my surprise the seat could be adjusted. I adjusted the seat to where I could touch the two driving pedals and comfortably hold the steering wheel before inserting my card into the machine. The screen changed, asking for me to input a name on it. "Te—se—ia..." I slowly uttered my name whilst typing my name on a small keyboard on the side. It then showed, "Wow... So many characters?" A massive grid appeared on the left side of the screen alongside bright colors. In the massive grid were characters, and selecting them showed them on the right as I went through them all. I eventually settled on a character that I thought looked cute. The screen then changed, with it were a variety of vehicles... and I was at a loss on what to pick... "So many choices..." I picked a car that looked cool, and it put me into another screen... "Maps... well—anything works." I picked a random one without a care. The screen said in front of me, 'Loading'.
Soon the screen faded, changing into the map that was selected. Now—I was here - I started the game, and ended the game...
... and the screen in front of me showed... 12th pce... "Grr—!... stupid items..." How in the world do you aim those.. sers? I got hit by the sers way too many times, and eventually I was in st pce trying to catch up. Not to mention the driving was so hard—how did people do those turns without crashing? "Again! I swear I'll do better." I inserted my card back into the machine.
This time I went again...
"7th pce." Better than st time, now that I managed to improve my driving, but still... "One more time." I uttered as I tilted the stick to go to repy.
... this time...
"... 2nd... I—I... did it..." I did! "I... I did it—Ididit—Ididit!" I was so happy - even if it was only second pce... The drifts, the turns, all the driving, and my item usage. "I... did... it..." I took my card out of the machine and got up...
I enjoyed that driving game, but I also wanted to try something else. My spirit and morale were high, and this time... I went to a machine that was a ramp, with a bunch of holes at the end. I looked at the other simir machines near it, watching both kids and adults throwing balls at the ramp, trying to get the balls into the holes with numbers. It sparked my interest, so I went over to try out that machine as well.
I brought my card to the machine, and the small screen at the end where the holes were lit up. Balls began to roll out from the side, and with it I began throwing them onto the ramp at the holes. I completely missed my first few throws, but afterwards I began to make decent throws into the middle '+100' point hole. The game ended, and after a minute of throwing I ended with 1060 points.
I wanted to try again, so I pyed a few more times, eventually getting a score of 1890. I put my card in again for another attempt, but it made a sound... I looked at the small screen where I put my card in, and it said that my card ran out of points...
I was a little sad that I already spent all my points, but looking at my phone reminded me that I still had other things to do. Content, I left the arcade, looking around windows of stores. I walked by the countless windows with mannequins and clothes until I came to a store I knew pretty well. It was a mixed-gender clothing store that was of high quality; I could trust finding something fashionable and casual here.
I wasn't really looking for anything in particur; I just wanted to see if there was anything that caught my eye... Besides - there was nothing in my closet that was 'mine', by my choice.
I browsed around the shop for a bit until a female attendant called out to me. I was mostly just looking around, but with her help and words I decided on a casual, modest one-piece dress with a ribbon tie around the waist. It was a nice light-blue color, with the color becoming lighter near the bottom hem. Overall, it held a pure-modest, girly appearance to it that I thought portrayed myself well. It was moderately pricy - but we really weren't hurting in our finances... After all, the Waltsia payout proceeded smoothly - and I kept my end of their bargain of silence...
With that, I left the mall, heading back home with everything I bought. I made it back before 18:00 and made dinner for me and Cecelia, before going to my room and resting... my legs were tired from all the walking, but I felt satisfied today.
It was fun - though I would have plenty more times like this on my physical therapy days.
