I was asleep when I heard some ringing sound. Like a phone or something. I sat up. I couldn’t see anything. I couldn’t find the light so I just grabbed whatever phone was ringing. I didn't know who’s phone it was until I answered it. “Hello…..who’s this?” “ Hello? Is this ummm…Yuki Choi?” It sounded like a young woman that’s probably my age. “ Yes, this is Yuki Choi, who’s this?.” I was kinda confused why I was getting a phone call at 2AM. “ I’m Charlotte, I just wanted to let you know that Del Shin was let out of jail at five pm, today.” My heart dropped when I heard that name.was my ex. “ Wha …...what…..What did y-you say…...Del…shin….is out of jail…..?” Del has been in jail for a few years. I forgot how he got arrested. I woke up Jin panicking.
“ You okay Yuki? What wrong…?”
“ummm…do you remember Leo's old friend, Del?”
“Mmm ...I think so.”
“He had black hair with red highlights.”
“Oh, yeah that guy, yeah i remember him, what about him”
“Well….he just got out of jail at 5pm..”
“He did? I didn’t even know he got put in jail-.....your shaking…are you okay Yuki?” I didn't notice I was shaking. Just hearing dels name makes me nervous. Jin hugged me. “ Come on love, try to go back to sleep. You and Leon are going to the market tomorrow.” tired to go to sleep. It took me 20 minutes to finally fall asleep. The next day Jin woke me up with this really soft tone to his voice.
“ yuuki…yuki…come wake uup…come on, wake up love.” he never really has to wake me up, i normally wake up before him. When I sat up and looked at the clock it said it was 1:20pm. I got up immediately and got ready. Leo was waiting on the couch for me. “ We should hurry up before the store gets too crowded, Yuki.” Leo drove to the market, it's not that far away from our college. Leo gave me the list, and he was pushing the shopping cart. The list wasn’t too long, just a few things. After a few minutes I saw someone in the corner of my eye that almost made my heart drop. It was del. He was with somebody, I didn't recognize them. But, I don't think Del liked her very much because of the look on his face. He turned around and looked at the woman he was with and yelled at her.
“ Leave me alone Emma, I don't want to be near you.”
Ooh, come oh del, stop acting like that, you don’t actually mean that.”
“I do mean it. I hate you. How many times do i gotta tell you before you take a f*cking hint?, dumb b*tch.” after he said that im pretty sure he noticed me.
Because del blushed a little bit. The woman he was with turned around really fast. “ Who are you looking at?? Are you looking at another girl????” del rolled his at her walled away from her, she ran after him still snapping at him. I couldn’t tell iff there together or not. “Yuki, you okay? You’ve been staring off into space..” Leo had his hand on my shoulder.”hmm? Oh, yeah im okay…..just distracted is all” they both looked at me then shrugged. We continued shopping but, I swear I kept seeing Del like he was following us, or following me. It made me uncomfortable, I could tell Leo and Jin knew I was uncomfortable. I was trying to ignore Del but I couldn't. He was just too noticeable, well, to me at least. I just needed a break, so I told Leo and I was going to the bathroom. “ I'm gonna use the bathroom, i’llbe back soon.” Leo nodded. I just needed a breather. Just seeing del frightens me. I kinda rushed to the bathroom. I tried to calm down by breathing in and out but….it didn’t really work. So I just splashed water on my face. It kind of worked, but not really. “Hi yuuki…..” I froze when I heard that. It was del. I slowly turnd around. “W-w-w-why are y-y-you here…..d-d-did you follow me….?” Del slimed at me, it was kind of creepy, then he chuckled at my response. “ You're so cute when you're confused yuki….i just wanted to talk to you, i….WE have’nt spoken to each other in a few years…”leave me alone…..please” he just laughed at me.” you know exactly why yuki….and im not about to let that a**hole, jin take you from me, im not going to let anybody else have you yuki..” that sent shivers down my spine. I had forgotten how creepy Del can be. I backed up into the sink. I couldn't call Leo because my phone died, and I don't think I could call them with how much my hands were shaking. I felt like I was going to cry from how scared I was. “ you’re so cute when you're scared yuki” that made me mad, i don’t like being called cute, or anything like that. “ Don't call me cute you weirdo, we broke up, and I know you know it's your fault, you..….you just don’t wanna admit it……”he didn’t like that, at all. His smile faded away for a second, then this even more creepy smile, if that's even possibly spread across his face “you shouldn’t talk to me-people…. You shouldn’t talk to other people like that, yuki…..it isn't polite.” del grab my arm tightly, i couldn’t get away. But then I heard Leo at the door. “ Yuki, are you okay in there? You’re taking a while….” Del covered my mouth with his hand. “ sh*t….you keep your little mouth shut..” before i could finish what he was saying i bit his hand, he winced back, i did kind bite him hard. “OW, YUKI YOU LITTLE- GAA, THAT HURT!!!”

That made him even more upset. But I wasn’t trying to figure out what happens when he's mad, again. I made a run for the bathroom door. Del tried to stop me but he missed my arm. I bumped into Leo. I got scared when I did. “ Whoah there, why are you in a rushed yuki?...Are you okay love?” i look back at the bathroom door, Del didn’t come out. My breathing started to calm down.
“ Yuki?...umm..are you okay? What happened?”
“Ummm…i…umm..…yeah im..alright”
“Wow, that sounds convincing.”
Leo held both my hands in his. They were warm, His hands were bigger than mine. “ I have everything in the cart, all we need to do is check out then we can leave whenever you want, alright?” I looked at the bathroom door again, then back at him. “alright....” As we were walking Leo held out his arm, I held onto it. As soon as I did , I heard the bathroom door open. I didn’t look back to see if it was Del. Leo was paying for the groceries, he was chatting with the guy at the check out. “Wait…do you go to Minneapolis College of Art too?” They guy nodded “ yeah, I do. I think we have a few classes together.”
I zoned out the rest of their conversation. “ Yuki, come on Love, we can leave now.” I just followed him. He was putting the groceries in the car when Leo noticed somebody walking towards us. He had a very serious look on his face. “ Yuki. get in the car.” I was confused for a sec until I saw Del. I tried to get in the car but it was locked. Great. It was too late now. Del had this innocent looking smile on his face but I could tell it was a fake one. I think Leo could tell it was fake too. “ Hey Leo, We haven’t talked in a while huh?” Leo didn’t care what Del had to say. “ Why are here Del.” Leo sounded a little upset. I can see why. “ Come on, it's not like I'd hurt either of you two.”
“ Del i don’t want to hear any of you’r bullsh*t Del, you can leave me and yuki alone.” I looked at Del then I showed Leo my arm and what Del did. “ …..he did this? To your arm?..... Del this going to be the warning i’ll give you Do you understand?” Del just nodded and walked away slowly. I just stared at Leo. I've never heard him talk like that, not even when he and Jin fight over stuff. We got in the car and the guy Leo's parents hired to drive him around was taking us home. He wasn’t talking, Leo just looked out his window. I didn’t know what to say to him that would not upset even more. “Umm….leo…i …..though the way you were talking to…del, it was kinda hot….” I looked down at the ground. I don’t normally say stuff like that, so I was embarrassed about it. He didn’t say anything about my comment, he just put his hand on my thigh. I flinch a little. The rest of the way home was silent. When we got home Leo went into his room. He didn’t say anything. Jin left while we were gone. I to help Leo feel better, but I couldn't figure out how to do it. After I put all of the groceries I knocked on his door. “Umm, Leo?... Are you awake?” I didn't get a response for a minute. So I turned around to go into the bedroom I shared with Jin. “I'm up, yuki.” I opened the door and peeked my head into his room. His room was always dark, Leo was laying on his bed. He had something on the TV but I don't think he was watching it. I walked to the side of his bed.
“What’s up love…..and, sorry you ended up putting all of the groceries away yuki.”
“ It's all right, I don't mind putting them away, are alright though?”
He looked away for a second, then he looked back at me. “Of course I'm okay, why wouldn’t I be” I knew he was lying. If he was actually alright he would’ve said he was allright, not that he was okay. I just sighed and sat next to him. Leo gave me a small smile. “You think I'm lying, don’t you?” I just chuckled, Leo was smarter then Jin is, but i can out smart both of them. I knew how their thinning process went.
“I you are lee”
“ I love it when you call me Lee yuki.” Leo wrapped his arm around my waist and pulled me closer to him. “Are you trying to change the subject lee?” He didn't answer me. He just was holding me by my waist and His face in my chest. The mood of the room shifted. It was like something came over him but I don't know what.
“ leo what's wrong?”
“I ....I'm sorry for what I'm about this yuki....”
“What….?”
