Wandering (2)

"Wait, you, Spirit. Can you technically eat? I'm the only one who can see and hear you."

I looked at him eagerly, waiting for his answer because if he could eat, he could shapeshift and help me.

He looked at me with a happy smile because I was excited. "No, I can't, but since we have a contract, I can taste the food you eat, and if you're full, I full too. I'm awesome, right?"

I looked at him, and he was excited, giving a thumbs-up. He was practically floating in the air, doing somersaults, but I didn't care about that strange fact.

All I cared about was that there was another mouth to feed.

My precious money would come and go quickly.

Then he said, "Let's eat." I watched him dorsoaving in the air. I could literally see the food in his eyes.

"Wait, let's save money, okay?" he replied enthusiastically, seemingly not paying attention to what I was saying. "Let's go."

I followed him as he sniffed and followed the aromas of food to a slightly expensive restaurant. "Uh-wait, this place is too expensive for me."

He looked at me seriously. "I'm not going to train you on an empty stomach, kid. You have to "A warrior's stomach must be full."

"Damn the bastard who spouted this nonsense!" My loud voice made people around the place look at me as if I were crazy.

I heard them whispering, "Who is this madman?" "Huh? What's wrong with the boy? Has he gone crazy?" "I don't know, but half an hour ago he was wandering around talking to himself."

I heard their whispers and my face turned red with embarrassment. "Damn it! They've been looking at me from the beginning. They think I'm crazy because of you. Damn you!"

Odin laughed loudly, wiping away tears of laughter. "Don't worry, Cyrus. In the end, no one will remember you. Now let's go eat."

Damn it! After that, we went to the restaurant. It was simple, but for a poor boy like me, it was incredibly luxurious.

Then Odin looked at the food and his face lit up with joy. "Order me some roast meat."

The merchant looked at me condescendingly, scratched his belly and sagging chin, and said in a tone of arrogance and condescension, "You poor wretched , rascal! Do you even have money to spend here?"

I glared at her angrily and threw a silver coin on the table, pretending it was nothing. That fat bastard looked at it as if it were his whole world.

"Welcome, little lord, this way please," Odin remarked, scratching his chin. "Money has always made people respect you, even worship you, if you have enough."

Then I followed the fat man inside as he gestured to my seat. "Sit here, little master, and ask this worthless slave for whatever you want."

Odin laughed heartily as he floated down by the ceiling and landed on the fat cook's head. "He really knows how to lick asses."

"Bring me some roast meat." The fat man looked at me happily and said, "That'll cost you fifty copper coins." 'What?! Damn it! Are you going to cut your own flesh, you filthy pig?'

I was forced to suppress my anger and gave him the silver coin I had thrown away earlier. "Take this and bring the meat quickly." After giving him the coin, I felt as if I were giving him my soul, or rather, my heart.
