Chapter 28- Parent Trap!

  Alice and i drive over to my parents' house in my new Seraphim Z2, i wanted to tell my folks the good news, but somthing tells me they already know.

  Let's face it, my rise to Apex Rank had become a big deal in Megacity-13, we couldn't drive 2 miles without little kids wanting an autograph or some of the neighboors wanting to introduce me to their sons.

  Once we were at the house, i felt somthing was wrong, and Alice could feel it too.

  I knocked on the door, only to find that the door was unlocked, Mom always locked the door, because there were all kinds of crazy people in Megacity-13.

  Once inside, the entire house was a wreck, windows were broken, the TV was the only thing not wrecked, and don't even get me started on the kitchen! Mom always told me that the kitchen was her "Safe Space"

  Alice and i made our way into our parents' bedroom where Dad was sitting in a pool of his own blood!

  "Dad! you OK?" i cried.

  "Roxy..is..is that you?" Dad replied weakly, his chest was impailed by some sort of spear...but i knew this mark well.

  "Who did this to you?" asked Alice.

  "It was that Stel girl, she had two others with her, they took you mother...good god, they took you mother!" he said with a cough.

  "Save you strengh dad, we're calling 911!" i cried.

  "Sweetie...it's too te for me, save your mother..please..." Dad said as his pulse began to weaken, "Oh Roxy...i'm so proud of you...."

  And with that, my dad stopped breathing....

  Tears streamed down my face, Alice knelt down to hold me in her arms, "We're going to find that bitch and your mom!"

  I nodded, but then i noticed somthing, Dad was holding a DVD that said, "Py Me!"

  That's why she left the damn TV intact, so we pyed the disc, and there she was, with her trademark smug expression.

  "Hello Roxy, if you found this disc, that means you old man croaked, for what it's worth, For a Non-Awakened, he put up one hell of a fight, anyway if you EVER want to see you Mommy in one piece, meet me at our old hangout in Megacity-13's warehouse district, and please, do bring that street trash you now call a girlfriend with you."

  We both smashed the TV with our fists in unison, We both looked at each other, and we both were thinking the same thing.

  "That Bitch is SO dead!!!"
