Chapter 17- The Dropoff

The Sun is high and unusually warm as the trio of James, Laura, and Aaron arrive where they were instructed to drop off the intel given to them by Commander Lucius.

The drop off location was a small shack outside of a city, one that wore a large sign that read "DOWN WITH THE KING" across the front gate.

Aaron volunteers himself to venture into the small shed.

Once Aaron steps inside, it's almost like he steps into a whole new climate, it's frigid inside, even though it'd just been scorching hot outside the shack.

On the opposite end to the door stands a tall, muscular man who throws a pitchfork at Aaron the second he walks in.

Aaron dodges it by a hair, it even catches his cheek for a split second.

Unlawfully taken from Royal Road, this story should be reported if seen on Amazon.

From the other end of the shack, Aaron hears "Oh, you're a rookie."

"My bad, almost killed ya there."

  "So, you have the intel?"

Aaron nods, very shakily from both fear and from the temperature before extending a shaky hand, which is holding the intel, to the man.

  The man comments

"Loosen up a bit, it couldn't've been that bad"

He said this before realizing the pitchfork he threw went straight through the wall behind Aaron and almost hit James.

"Well maybe it was, I'll give you the benefit of the doubt here."

"Well my name's Cassius, you'll see me again soon enough probably. Oh! Here's the info I'm meant to give you. I swear, I have to go through this every single time."

The three rookies begin their trek back to Elaria as Jermaine prepares a letter to a close ally and friend.

  The letter reads as such:

"Hello General Sasaki, the Kingdom of Elarium is in desperate need of aid, we are nearing a state of war. (P.S, tell your son I said hi.)"
