Money was always welcome, no matter the occasion, it was a happy thing to get money. Though such an unexpected windfall didn’t lead to immediate happiness but rather confusion. As such Augus started to investigate why did he get such an amount, though such a short search could barely be called investigation. Through looking in the internet he found out that his World had gone a little famous between Qi condensation and Foundation establishment cultivators. His was one of the few that provided the feature of realistic combat against Siphon monsters at their level.
With his curiosity satiated he was now in front of quite the important decision, should he convert his recent windfall to money or cultivation resources? Though his mind went instantly to the first, after looking through the prices of the cultivation techniques and other resources he found suitable for himself he found that he couldn’t afford even the worse ones. His World would need to earn at the same pace for two weeks before he could afford the worse ones and about a month for the truly good ones. Considering this he decided on a better course of action rather than pointless wait, he would advance his cultivation level, then upgrade his World and hope for an increase in revenue. His cultivation technique would get him to Golden World and only that, if he wanted to advance through Golden World he would need a new cultivation technique. One that was compatible with his current one and that would leave open the door for future advancements.
The lack of such a technique was what left his parents stuck at Golden World. They were both Makers, just not World Makers. His mom was an Alchemist, while his dad was a Talisman Inscriber, both profitable positions that left him worry free for their sustainability.
With a plan in mind he made a short trip to the Department of World Makers to retrieve his revenue in Splotched spiritual crystals. Mainly because they didn’t require as much time as Dirty ones, but would be given to him in enough quantity to increase his cultivation. With the crystals in hand he went back home and after informing his parents, entered a short seclusion to absorb the energy in the crystals. With the little pile of hexagon shaped crystals he grabbed one and in his usual lotus position held it in his forehead. According to the method the school thought him he absorbed a portion of the easily available energy and then inserted his own to surround the impurities. After this he could siphon all the clean energy into his meridians to expand and reinforce them according to his Foundation Establishment cultivation technique. This would continue the path he began in Qi condensation of opening and reinforcing his apertures until he reached his dantian, he was glad it also let him increase his available energy by expanding his dantian with the remaining spiritual energy of the crystal. He repeated the process until he spent all of the crystals and then checked his meridians. He was still in late stage but had advanced from 72 to 78 perfected meridians, he was only three meridians away from reaching peak stage with 81 perfected meridians. When he reached it he would be ready to advance to the next realm, each perfected meridian though made the next that much harder to advance. So he would need a day’s revenue to reach peak and another to advance to Golden World, why so much spiritual energy to advance? Because he had to maintain a saturated state in his dantian while exerting pressure with spiritual energy for his advancement.
In the meantime he would study different ways to upgrade his first World. First the mathematical formations, although they can be used for coding purposes as he did, by themselves they don’t seem to be strong enough for more. As such, he started a search for a better alternative, which he obviously didn’t find, as he had already made such a search before. In his frustration he commented the problem to his dad who said:
- “You do know that I’m a Talisman Inscriber, right?”
- “Yeah, and?”
- “You idiot son of mine, you need a coding language like that of a computer, a Talisman is made of words.”
- “But I can’t exactly put a Talisman on my control center, they are consumables, my idiot father.”
- “You little… (don’t hit him, he’s just gonna go cry to his mom and you will sleep in the couch, again). But you can use the Inscriber language in your formations.”

- “… Are you kidding me!? Why didn’t they tell us about it in school then?”
- “Because it’s a recent development, it hasn’t been standardized enough to include in textbooks yet.”
- “So now I have to study the Inscriber language?”
- “Good luck.”
With a smiley face [sarcasm], Augus started his study of the Inscriber language and how it can be combined with formations, all the while he went out daily to collect his daily gains to cultivate. Two days later he was ready to advance to Golden World, his cultivation technique detailed a rather ingenious method that took inspiration from lightning being attracted to metal. The technique aimed to generate pressure on his dantian through augmenting his external energy to lightning and his internal energy to metal. But said energy would have no entry point to “strike”, as his dantian had to be sealed off for a Golden realm advancement, generating the pressure necessary.
First he sealed the dantian, second, he changed the properties of the spiritual energy he gathered from the crystals by gathering static electricity. Although at the start it was a slow process, with more static electricity he gathered it became easier and easier. Then he started guiding the spiritual energy towards his dantian filled with previously metalized spiritual energy thanks to a potion from his mom. The pressure started mounting almost instantly and he was forced to subtract a portion of the spiritual energy when he noticed straining. But then he had to add some back as the pressure wasn’t enough, and so he began a delicate game of adding and subtracting electrified spiritual energy until his dantian started to change. It began pulsing with a dark-gold light that became more and more intense, until his whole dantian just glowed with a dark-gold light and he knew he had successfully advanced to the Golden World realm.
After he demagnetized the spiritual energy in his dantian and let the electricity dissipate from the remaining of the spiritual energy from the crystals, Augus started to fill his dantian to the brim with all the spiritual energy that was now floating in his body. He was pleasantly surprised when it wasn’t enough to fill his new dantian so he used the remaining few crystals until he finally filled it just short of two spiritual energy crystals.
After Augus successful advancement he went out of his room to celebrate with his parents, who had a feast ready as if knowing he would make the advancement. While Augus's mother was beaming with pride from her son’s accomplishment, his father was boasting of his “extraordinary genes” that made this possible. Even if true, any loved child knows to say that the intelligence comes from the mother rather than the father and Augus was a loved child if anything.
The next day, with his cultivation advancement made, Augus could now fully focus on figuring out ways to upgrade the “Siphon raid” world. To do this he focused his attention on his dantian to enter his Golden World and found out his omniscient level powers inside had somehow been upgraded. Now if he tried to create something inside it would be more real, less of an illusory imitation and more lifelike, more solid. Though those were interesting changes he was more focused on testing his recent ideas about combining Formations and Inscriber language. While a normal formation was usually about shapes, forms and increasingly obtuse energy pathways, a mathematical formation focused on setting ‘on’ and ‘off’ states. These states were what Augus used to configure the intelligence of the Siphon monster. Now with the inscriber language’s assistance he could set complex things like actual senses without needing a dozen interconnected formations for each one. He set a Hearing, Smelling and Seeing module (on top of the previous detection system) for the Siphon monsters. He didn’t include a Tasting and Touch module as eating wasn’t something real Siphon monsters did and Touch would involve pain, which the monsters didn’t feel, not even from soul attacks. The Siphon monsters were, at the end, just constructs which imitated real animals and beasts, not living beings.
Augus departed towards the DWM with the new upgrades in hand and a stronger replacement for the Siphon monster simulation formations, which could now go up to Golden Core level of strength. Did he understand how they worked? Not a damn clue, Augus just memorized them and knew how to connect them to the other formations and that was enough. Any more than that would just bring him headaches from trying to understand the weird symbols and shapes the formation used.
Augus submitted the changes, the staff reviewed them on the spot and gave him the okay to change the formations. Although the staff offered to change them themselves, he preferred to do it himself, the staff just said:
- “Understood, most World Makers usually make the changes themselves.”
So it seemed Augus wasn’t alone in his OCD.
