It looked around but it couldn't detect anything. Even though the Mimic got lucky and leveled up quickly it was only a newborn, its skills are at a low level, including the Mana Perception skill, its the skill responsible for the Mimic's perception of the world. Most sightless monsters have a 'Perception' skill, for example sightless plant monsters have the 'Earth Perception' skill, which lets them detect weight, wetness and objects in the ground through their roots.
The Mimic's Mana Perception skill was now at a low level 2, it could only percieve things within a 6 meters radius. However the entity watching it was outside that range. The Mimic slowly but surely started pushing itself around looking for the culprit.
It now felt more tired than it already was, but instead of stopping, it kept going. Slowly, a floating sphere came into view — a Watcher. It had a black pupil and a light blue iris. Thin fleshy tendrils extended from the back of its spherical body, trailing behind it as it hovered.
The Watcher continued staring at the Mimic, it followed every single movement the Chest made precisely. The Mimic inspected the Watcher and it realised it had seen many Watchers passing near it while it was busy mimicing a chest, it also realised the Watcher was the one that appraised it.
The Mimic then pushed itself next to the floating eye and grew a long spike towards its location, but before it hit, the Watcher quickly dodged while continuing to creepily stare at the Chest.
The Mimic tried again, only to have the Watcher nimbly dodge the attack.
"ACK!" the Mimic hissed.
The hissing chest was now exhausted, it knew if it tried using its spike attack again it could end badly, so instead of doing that it lunged at the Watcher.
The Watcher effortlessly slipped aside.

The Chest slammed into the wall.

*Shkssh!*
The eye split in two revealing dozens of spikey thin teeth, the floating eye was now eyeless and it made up for its eyelessness with its Mana Perception.
The Watcher then charged at the confused Mimic and latched onto its open lid, which was its blindspot.
In panic the Mimic tried shaping a spike to pierce the eyeless eye, the spike did generate but the it was unbelievably unspikey, flat and thin, it was more similar to a stick.
The
The Mimic started thrashing wildly while banging its back against the wall in an attempt to shake the watcher off.
After banging itself against the wall multiple times, the Watcher unlached from the Mimic's lid, and went back to its previous non-eyeless form. However the Mimic was now exhausted and It made the quick and smart decision of fleeing from the battle that it was clearly unprepared for.
The Mimic turned around and started fleeing as fast as it could.
The Mimic's jumps grew heavier. Slower.
The Mimic kept jumping, it felt slow, heavy. it kept on jumping.
The Watcher was steadily following behind.
It suddenly heard a high-pitched shriek.
The now terrified Chest started jumping like never before, it completly ignored how tired it was and fled for its life.
It jumped.
It jumped again.
Something inside it refused to stop. Its movements became erratic, desperate, The ground blurred beneath it.
**
Its body tilted.
