TLDR: I'm over capacity on writing time, and can't write two series and do manuscript updates on one of them, all at once. New chapters coming soon.
I hate putting up notes like this. I just realized I haven't posted for a month.
No, I'm not dead. I just bit off more than I could chew, I'm starting to realize.
Why so long? Because I've been writing Apprentice of Ouroboros and completely sidelined Fiona and company for a month while working on the manuscript for Volume II of NBH, and trying to find a satisfying way to wrap up the story that I can live with and people will like. I'm also debating whether I should go to three volumes or four. Plus, the IRL situation is time-consuming. I hope to get more writing done in the near future.
You could be reading stolen content. Head to Royal Road for the genuine story.
The updates to the manuscript have taken a large chunk of time, far longer than I planned for. But this is also for the KU version down the line, and one year ago me was not nearly as skilled as he needed to be push this for publishing. I'm going to make the difficult decision to pull Heroine off Patreon and keep posting what I have, and play catch-up when I can. Unfortunately, I think there might be only one or two people who have endured my mini-hiatus, or are hopefully reading Apprentice as my sorta-apology for lack of updates.
I'll start posting 1-2 chapters a week, and hopefully, my volume II deliverable will be done before I run out of chapters in my backlog.
