Unlike the demons of the lower circle, the Primordials had no form. They were pure idea, a coagulation of fear capable of seeping through the boundaries of worlds unhindered. They didn't need to be believed in—they were feared on an instinctual level, from the first bacterium to the last human.

Unique Registry: Aurora (Second Generation)
The assistant froze, reading a note highlighted in red cipher.
Aurora (Demon of Oblivion). As humanity developed, old fears of the dark began to fade before the terror of social death. The fear of being forgotten, of losing one's mark on history, gave birth to Aurora. She is the Demon of Oblivion, a representative of the second generation, whose power is adapted to the modern mind.

-
Power Level: 94 — 99 (variable, depends on emotional state).
-
Special Trait: "Absolute Erasure". Capable of removing information about any object from the memory of the world and reality itself.
-
Incident "Devouring": During the era of ancient wars, Aurora tracked down and erased the Demon of the Beast, taking advantage of his temporary weakness. She literally ate his essence. Demons devoured by Aurora are never reborn.
Analytical Note: After devouring the Demon of the Beast, Aurora gained the ability to move freely between worlds without entering into pacts with humans. This makes her the most free and unpredictable entity in the registry. She is feared equally intensely by humans and by the demons themselves, for she is the only one who can bestow "death without return" even to immortals.
Assistant's Thoughts: 'I slammed the folder shut, feeling my palms sweat. The picture began to come together. On one side—Zenhald, who devoured Death (96/100). On the other—Aurora, who ate the Beast and possesses a potential up to 99/100. They are not just "childhood acquaintances". Mira said they were "made for each other". Now I understand why. No one else in all the worlds could possibly survive near them. But what happens if Aurora decides that Arkgrim no longer needs to suffer in this world? She could simply... erase his pain along with all of reality.'
Registry Continuation: Evolution of Nightmares
The assistant turned the page. Following the Primordial Fears were those born much later—when the human mind matured, and society became complex and multifaceted.
Second Generation: Demons of Concepts These entities arose from intellectual progress. When humans stopped trembling at the growl of a predator in the bushes, they began to fear abstract things capable of destroying thousands of lives at once.
-
Demon of War: His power is unstable. Now, in an era of relative peace, he is weak, but his potential is limitless. The slightest spark of international conflict—and he regains flesh, feeding on every gunshot.
-
Demon of Disease: He was once a great ruler of the world, but the development of medicine weakened him. He lies low, waiting for the moment when humanity becomes too overconfident.
-
Demon of Time: A stable and unwavering power. Everyone fears him and at the same time does not fear him, even if they don't admit it. This is the only Demon whose power does not depend on news or politics.
-
Demon of Catastrophe: The embodiment of sudden ruin. Tsunamis, earthquakes, accidents.
Aurora's Unique Status: Despite belonging to the Second Generation, Aurora (Oblivion). She is the apex of this hierarchy. If War or Time merely take life, Aurora takes the very right to have ever existed.
Third Generation: Demons of Matter The most numerous and volatile class. These are fears of specific objects. Demon of Nuclear Weapons, Demon of Guns, Demon of the Katana, and thousands of others. Their power is a mirror of world news. Today people are afraid of a spider—the Spider Demon becomes a giant. Tomorrow everyone is discussing a new missile—and the Bomb Demon begins to spark with mana. The list of these entities is as endless as human imagination.
Analysis of Limitations and Threats
The assistant squinted, reading into the note about the "Restriction of Worlds".
Protocol "Vessel": Unlike the Old Demons of the First Generation, Demons of the Second and Third circle lack the ability to move freely between their dimension and the human world. An insurmountable wall exists for them. To cross it, a demon must:
-
Conclude a contract with a human (a pact).
-
Take over a body (possess), turning it into its vessel. However, human flesh is a fragile material. Far from every "vessel" is capable of withstanding the pressure of demonic mana. Most people simply burn up or turn into mindless monsters in the very first seconds.
The Fear Factor: But there is one truth that unites all demons, from the mighty Time to the petty Knife Demon. They are all deathly afraid of Aurora. For a demon, death in our world is merely a return to its own dimension. But a meeting with Aurora is the finale. If she erases a demon, it does not return home, it is not reborn in a new vessel. It simply ceases to be. Forever. Aurora is the only predator in history who forced the Demons of Fear themselves to feel what true fear is.
Assistant's Thoughts: 'I set the tablet aside, feeling the room become unnaturally cold. The puzzle was finally complete. We don't need to control all the demons in the world. We only need to control the one they all fear. But who actually controls Aurora? Looking at how Aurora looks at Arkgrim, I realize... she is controlled only by this boy who doesn't even remember his own name. If Arkgrim ever tells her "go away", or if something happens to him... Aurora won't just get upset. She will erase the reality in which his smile does not exist. And no one—neither the Demon of War nor the Demon of Time—will be able to stop her. They will simply forget how to resist before they disappear into her emptiness.'
