Captain Valorion, a cosmic being based on the matter of order was inviting a number of technocrats over for dinner to his Valor Tower. His team of superheroes, instead of fighting crime, they found themselves to being Valorion’s servants. Valorion had assignments for everyone – Kade Drummand a.k.a. the Forgebreaker was in charge of being the chef making the meals for the technocrats. Nyra Voidwalker and Whisperblade were obviously going to be servants and Ty “Turbo” Knight, well he found himself doing cleaning duties with Brun.

  “This is embarrassing” sighed Ty.

  Tyler found himself doing various cleaning chores around the tower, only Captain Valorion himself knew who the technocrats were, nobody knew about the list of guests.

  “You’re embarrassed, what about me, I formerly fought on Benny Dubiuos’ side and this is how you treat me as a servant” laughed Brun, “and yet you complain when it’s your turn doing it.”

  Brun felt happy taking a cheap shot at Tyler for daring to question why Captain Valorion asked him to do cleaning duties with Brun. It felt a change of past, as for Kade, Kade was using his Forgebreaker powers to try to make the various recipe meals for the guests.

  “I hope my powers don’t burn the food” thought Kade.

  Kade was given a cookbook by Captain Valorion and instructed to make the following meals – mostly Chinese meals, but some African and British based. Kade could tell this was going to take sometime getting use to using his powers like this. He was use to fighting crime – not being a chef. As for Nyra and Whisperblade, they found themselves setting the table in the main dinning room area of the tower. The two women were insulted much like Tyler was that they were now servants.

  “This is an embarrassment” said Nyra, “we should be fighting crime, not appeasing some technocrats.”

  “He’s so much about order, sometimes too much order” said Whisperblade.

  The Team Valor was already starting to fall apart, and there were no villains in sight to cause the harm. Captain Valorion was busy in his room getting ready, putting on the finest formal attire. With the snap of his fingers, he could change into whatever formal wear he wanted.

  “I think I will go with a blend of Asian, African and Western” said Captain Valorion.

  The captain snapped a few times with his fingers until he got it right. Among those who will be attending the dinner was Hank Ruslan, a notorious technocrat from Britain – Themba Obeng was among the guests. Themba missed seeing his creation Brun and didn’t like how Benny treated Brun to be used for criminal activities; and then there were guests from the far east – Ning Zou, her husband Cong; and then there were Ming Yong and her husband Shui Yong.

  “Everything has to be perfect!” laughed Captain Valorion.

  The captain strived on perfection, he didn’t seem to think for a moment that his teammates would care to differ at all. The stage was set, and the first guest was set to arrive within the hour. However, Kade was having trouble using his powers for the first meal.
