Chapter 25 - Eternal Breezes

The wedding’s afterglow lingered like the soft winds of Mondstadt, but Varka and Nicole wasted no time in embarking on their month-long honeymoon—a grand tour across Teyvat, weaving through nations like threads in a tapestry of fate. It was Alice’s parting gift: a series of enchanted portals that whisked them from one wonder to another, allowing them to savor the world’s beauty without the haste of expeditions. “Consider it my way of saying ‘congratulations on not turning into a Seelie!’” Alice had cackled as she handed over the shimmering key.

Their first stop was Natlan, where the volcanic landscapes echoed their initial meeting in Nod-Krai. They stayed in a luxurious tribal lodge overlooking steaming geysers, hosted by the Pyro Archon’s kin. Days were spent hiking rugged trails, Varka challenging local warriors to friendly spars while Nicole sculpted volcanic rock into prophetic figures. Evenings melted into romance: soaking in private hot springs, the water bubbling around them as steam veiled their intimacy.

One night, under a canopy of fireflies, Varka pulled Nicole close, his hands tracing the curves of her back. “Remember our first tease here? You feigning ignorance about Alice’s tales. Look at us now—married, defying gods.”

Nicole’s voice, now fully audible yet still carrying that intimate mental echo for him alone, teased back. “Defying? You mean blustering your way through Celestia with a claymore and a grin. But yes… it’s surreal.” Her lips found his in a kiss that started soft but ignited like Pyro—hot, spicy, their bodies pressing together in the warm water. Hands explored familiar paths, awkward laughs turning to passionate moans as they made love under the stars. Afterward, tangled in each other’s arms, Nicole whispered, “What if this leads to more? Children… our union bent Heavenly Principles. Could they inherit… something divine? Unknown powers, perhaps. Repercussions from above?”

Varka chuckled, his fingers playing with her golden hair. “Kids? Archons, that’d be an adventure. Imagine little ones with your wisdom and my strength—teasing us both. But yeah, Celestia’s watchful. We’re not sure yet, but if it happens… we’ll face it laughing, like always.”

From Natlan, they portaled to Liyue’s serene mountains, staying in a jade pavilion overlooking the Harbor. Zhongli joined them for tea, sharing ancient tales of unions that shaped eras. “Your love echoes the contracts of old—unbreakable, yet tested.” They wandered lantern-lit streets, sampling osmanthus wine. In their suite, romance bloomed: Varka lifting Nicole onto silk sheets, kisses trailing down her neck, their union slow and romantic, bodies moving in rhythmic harmony. “You’re my eternal contract,” he murmured.

And you, my boundless wind, she replied mentally, pulling him deeper.

Inazuma’s stormy isles came next, Yae Miko hosting them in a cherry blossom shrine. “A knight and an angel—how novel. Eternity bends for such tales.” They meditated under waterfalls, sparred with samurai. Nights were electric: in a tatami room, lightning flashing outside as they kissed fiercely, hands roaming, spicy passion peaking in awkward, loving fervor. “Eternity with you? Sign me up,” Varka grinned.

Sumeru’s rainforests followed, Nahida guiding them through Irminsul’s echoes. “Your children, should they come… might carry branches of fate unseen.” They picnicked amid glowing fungi, discussions turning intimate under vine canopies—kisses heating to full romance, bodies entwined on mossy beds.

Fontaine’s opulent theaters rounded the tour, Neuvillette toasting their “aquatic harmony.” Underwater dances led to private suites, where bubbly baths turned steamy: playful splashes evolving into hot embraces, their love-making detailed and tender each night.

The month ended back in Mondstadt, refreshed. “Best adventure yet,” Varka said at Windrise. Nicole nodded, hand on her abdomen subtly. “And perhaps… just the beginning.”
