The next day at noon.

  The two were no longer crying, but their expressions were still gloomy.

  Misaki, muttering something to herself, was operating her tablet as she searched for something.

  And when she finally found what she was looking for, she showed the screen beside the two of them.

  “Look, check this out.”

  Seeing the screen, the two let out small gasps of surprise.

  “This was written by Cloudy.”

  The narrative has been stolen; if detected on Amazon, report the infringement.

  What was displayed there was a strange photograph of the sky posted on social media.

  In the clouds, the words “Shinobu Sayuri” were written.

  “Huh? Why?”

  Sayuri looked at Misaki as she spoke.

  “Just in case, I taught it some letters. For now, only your names.”

  Misaki continued with a gentle smile.

  “Even if we couldn’t find it ourselves, I figured someone would spot it and post it. I’ll print it out later and put it up on the wall, so you two cheer up as well. Cloudy’s doing just fine.”

  Propping up the tablet so the two of them could see it, Misaki took out a small ochoko and returned to the table.

  As she poured sake into the ochoko, she murmured softly.

  “Cloudy… so you really were a cloud, after all.”

  She lightly clinked her own glass against the ochoko, a clear sound rang out.

  “Take care, Cloudy.”
