After talking with John, Sara took it easy over the next few days.
For the first day, she mostly just read her old "Beginner’s Guide to Magic and Practical Lifestyle Magic" book.
With a smile, Sara thought she would sit with Ray and read him the first chapters so she could not only refresh herself but also give him a leg up if he had magical aptitude.
The thing was, he was usually asleep.
When he was awake, Sara saw him moving around like he was riding a bike in the air, but not long after, he would fall back asleep.
During the mornings, she walked outside to the porch with Ray.

He would fuss for a short time when they first started, but by the time she sat down in the rocking chair on the porch, Ray was fast asleep in his carrier.
She sat outside enjoying the sun and talked to her neighbors as they passed by on the walking path to the market.
After a few hours out on the porch, Sara return with Ray back inside, putting him in his crib to continue sleeping, before she would lie down for a nap.
These light interactions and resting continued for a few days until one afternoon Sara woke up feeling like something good would happen.
When she walked over from her bed to check on Ray in his crib, bending forward, Ray opened his eyes.
Sara(slightly surprised): [Oh my, you're awake little Ray.]
Sara(happily): [You are such a well-behaved baby, you make your mother very happy.]
She tickled her little Ray; him giggling sweetly, caused to Sara smiled brightly.
Aside from feedings, this was the longest interaction Sara had with him.
Picked him up, she walked towards his changing station.
Sara(smiling): [Let's get you changed and fed. Your daddy should be home shortly.]
