Sara(sleepily): [*Yahn* I hope I didn't sleep too long. I still haven't made dinner for hunny.]
Getting up from the bed, humming, Sara made her way to little Ray, putting him in the portable carrier, before heading to the kitchen and looking at the clock.
Sara(chipper): [Oh good, I still have time.]
Sara worked her way around the kitchen, humming and dancing to her own beat.
She put some red potatoes in a pot and adding a large pinch of salt, before casting water magic over them and placing the pot on the stove.
She put her hand to a crystal nob-looking structure on the front of the stove and fed it a small amount of mana to light the burner the pot was sitting on.
Flouncing over to the fridge, she removed a steak that she had pre-thawed, putting it aside to warm up a bit.
On her way to her cutting board, she dolloped some butter into a frying pan and set it to a low heat to pre-melt on the stove.
She then turned to her cutting board and began finely dicing up onions, crushed a clove of garlic, and tossed it in all together with the now melted butter.
Next, she turned up the heat on the stove and lightly browned the onions and garlic, adding some pepper to the mixture as it simmered, before removing the pan from the heat.
After the mixture had cooled a bit, but not enough to solidify, she put the steak in and spooned the mixture over it before leaving on a cool portion of the stove.
Waiting for the potatoes to cook a bit more, Sara picked up Ray, took him to the bathroom, and changed him.

After she got back and put Ray in his carrier, she walked over to the sink, and used cleaning water magic to wash her hands.
Sara(chipper smile): [Remember Ray, cleanliness is important for more than just your booty. Teehii]
After cleaning her hands thoroughly, she danced over and drained the potatoes before placing the pot back on a cool section of the stove.
Next, Sara went and got some green beans and carrots, cleaning them in the sink, before patting them down to dry and placing them around the steak.
She then put a cover on the frying pan before placing it in the oven on low heat.
While the steak and veggies were slowly cooking, Sara quarter the potatoes, added parmesan, and mashed them.
Since the steak and veggies had cooked for a bit, she took the pan out of the oven, basted the steak and vegetables with the butter-steak-juice sauce, and put the pan back into the oven to continue cooking.
She then got out a box of Miss. Grass's? soup, cooked it up with a bit of grated ginger, and ate while waiting for the steak to finish.
Shortly after Sara finished eating, she heard the front door close.
John(quietly): [I'm home.]
Sara(bouncing in, happily): [Welcome home, but why are you being so quiet?]
They embrace and lightly kiss each other.
John(also happily): [I thought you were resting and didn't want to wake you.]
Sara(spritely): [No silly, I had to make dinner.]
John continued to hold Sara with a concerned look on his face.
John(concerned, but light and quiet): [Dear, I love you. You are amazing, and you work so hard. You are a great cook.]
John(slightly distracted tone): [And the food smells amazing and I can't wait to eat.]
John(back to concerned, but light and quiet): [But you just gave birth. Please take it slow, you should be resting and recovering.]
Sara(surprised): [But I feel… Ok…]
John(light and quiet, questioning): [What happened?]
Sara(with an uneasy smile): [Let me get dinner on the table and I'll tell you.]
Sara(with her regular smile): [See you there.]
Sara bounced away while John looked on with concern, took his shoes off, and walked into the kitchen.
John(smiling): [I'll help set the table.]
Sara(happily): [Thank you. I already ate, so just set a place for yourself.]
John paused for a moment before getting out a cloth napkin and cutlery for steak and vegetables.
Sara pulled the perfectly cooked steak and vegetables from the oven and put the steak on a plate with the vegetables on the side.
John continued to move the prepared food into the dining room as Sara finished up.
Pouring the butter-steak-juice sauce into a gravy boat, she added a bit of flour and stirring it thick, before bringing that to the table, seeing that John had already moved all the rest of the food and Ray.
