WHERE SILENCE WAITED...

"Why does my heart feel like it's waiting when i don't even know for whom..?"

The Evening Settled slowly beneath a Sky

painted in gentle greys. Rain fell in soft rhythm, not heavy, not hurried - Just enough to quiet the

world. The Scent of wet earth filled the air, and

a cool breeze brushed past like a silent companion.

It was the kind of evening where time seemed to pause, and even the loudest thoughts Softened into Silence.

Aira leaned her head against the cool bus window ,earphones sealing her into her own little world. A slow song played softly, its lyrics wrapping around her heart.

Outside, rain streamed down the glass, blurring the

passing streetlights into golden streaks. Each note

matched the rhythm of the rain, and for a moment,

  the world felt beautifully distant.

Aira was an English literature student. She had wavy hair that never stayed in place and deep black eyes. She usually wore a short kurti

with jeans. Aira got off the bus with her umbrella.

She walked home slowly, breathing in

the fresh scent of rain and wet earth.

She reached home, folded her umbrella and placed

it aside. As she walked upstairs, she slipped on the wet

steps. For a moment, she thought she would fall but

she didn't. It felt like some thing had held her steady.

She quickly brushed off the feeling, convincing herself

it was just luck, and went to her room.

She freshedup and went to the kitchen to make some tea. Outside

the rain continued to fall softly. Taking her cup, she

sat on the sofa and sipped her tea quietly.

Just then, she heard her phone ring. She picked it up.

  it was her mother.

"Hello Amma" (a malayalam term for mother ) Aira said

"Hello, Aira. Did you reach home safely? How was your day"?

  "The day was good, Amma"

  "Did you eat anything"

"I'm having my tea now, is Achan ( a malayalam term for father )and Arav fine"?

  "Yes, they're fine.

  "Did you have your tea"

  "Yes, mole"

The tale has been taken without authorization; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident.

"How was the climate there, Amma?

"Here no rain mole - little cloudy only. But you said heavy rain there?"

""Yes Amma, it's soaking wet here."

"Did you make your dinner, mole ?"

"No Amma. I will cook later"

"Don't Skip dinner, okay. cook something for you"

  "Okay "

"Hmm - okay - take rest. I will call you later"

  "Okay Amma Bye"

  "Bye mole"

After ending the call, Aira placed her phone on the table. The rain grew heavier outside. She looked at the window. She was sure she had locked it - but the curtain was moving slightly in the wind. Slowly she walked closer. The rain was still falling - not too loud, not too soft. Just steady. She could feel the cool breeze touch her face, for a moment, she didn't think about anything. She just stood there. The air smelled like wet earth. She smiled - a small, peaceful smile. Then she gently closed the window perfectly properly and drew the curtain.

later. She went to the kitchen. cooked something simple. Nothing Special. Just enough. She ate slowly.

After cleaning everything, She turned off the lights and went to her room.

After reaching her room, Aira took her note book, wanting to write. But the words wouldn't come.

She felt very tired. The sound of the rain outside made her feel even more sleepy. The cool air and

the quiet room slowly relaxed her mind. She closed the note book gently and placed it beside

her. Lying down on the bed, She listened to the rain.

Her eyes slowly become heavy. without realizing it, she drifted into sleep.

When she opened her eyes, she wasn't in her room anymore. She was standing in a open field. The

air was cool. The ground slightly wet beneath her feet. The sky above was dark not terrifying dark,

but deep and heavy, like a storm was resting there.

The rain had stopped. But the world still smelled of it.

In the distance, she saw movement. A small group of deer. They stood quietly, their eyes soft their

bodies still. They weren't afraid of her. One of them looked directly at her - calm almost knowing.

The atmosphere was darkened by clouds. yet she could see everything clearly. Not bright but visible

like the world wanted her to notice every detail.

A gentle wind moved through the fied.

And then . she felt it A presence She turned Slowly.

He was there. Not far Standing near the edge of the mist. She could see his figure clearly

his shoulders, the way he stood, the outline of his hands.

But his face - it remain hidden. like shadows

refused to leave it . He began walking toward her

  The wind grew softer.

  Her Heart Started beating faster

She felt he wanted to Say Something . His lips moved. But no sound reached her.

She tired to speak "Who are you?" Nothing come

  out. The Silence wasn't empty

  It was heavy, Meaningful

As if words existed. But the world wouldn't allow them to meet.

  He Stepped closen.

Close enough for her to feel his warmth..

But Still no face, Still no sound. Only rain Scented air...

  Deer watching quietly and the

Space between them filled with unspoken things

And just when she felt something was about to Change - Every thing dissolved

Morning light Slipped into her eyes. The dream broke But the feeling didn't, for a few seconds... Her

eyes opened slowly she didn't move Her heart was beating a little faster than usual

She sat up. The room felt normal. Too normal.

The Sound of rain tapping against the window pulled her toward it. She stood and walked Slowly, her feet cold against the floor. It was

when she touched the glass, it was cool... almost

  icy.

Outside, the world looked washed and quiet

Trees dripping. Roads Shining. The Sky Still darkened by clouds.

She rested her forehead gently against the window

"Why did it feel so real...?" she whispered to herself.

The silence from the dream followed her Not scary, Not sad. Just unfinished

She closed her eyes for a second.
