Magicus – the scientific/technical name for magic. Used to describe technology and physical events effected by magic. Magicus is considered a form of science and is studied as such.
Particles – protons, neutrons, electrons, etc. Makes up matter. Each particle has its own distinct properties. Interacts with the physical electromagnetic field or PEM.
Magicles – a type of particle that can have different properties depending on which force is applied to it. Interacts with the magicus electromagnetic field or MEM.

- sonic (psychic + thermal) - sound absorbing/magnifying

- pressuric (gravitational + magnetic) – pressurization
- nuclear (thermal + pressuric) – fusion generators
- transferring (magnetic + trans-dimensionality) – teleportation, time travel

Unique magicus field every living and non-living thing has. It is determined by the object’s composition and detectable using proper magicus scanners.
Physical Electromagnetic (PEM) Field
The field which particles interact with to produce electric and magnetic currents (Note: this does NOT apply to the electromagnetic force, which photons interact with). Also effects conductivity of materials and chemical interactions of elements.
Magicus Electromagnetic (MEM) Field
The field which magicles interact with produce all magicus effects
Electromagnetic Magicus Radiation (EMMR)
A form of radiation emitted by large quantities of plasma (primarily from stars) that cancels out MEM fields
PEM and MEM Fields
- MEM Fields run “opposite”/”perpendicular” to PEM Fields and cancel them out. Prevents electromagnetic forces. Caused by the expansion of space. Deep space is magicus-based.
- EMMR emitted by stars cancels out the MEM field. Extends as far as the star’s magnetic field/solar winds. Solar systems are physics-based.
- Planetary Van Allen belts scatter EMMR. Magnetospheres (magnetic fields) around planets weaken EMMR field. Magnetospheres trail behind moving objects. Combined, they provide shielding from EMMR during the night. Night hours on planets are magicus-based.
- Ground/stone absorbs EMMR. Must have a minimum thickness of approximately 5 meters (16 feet) to be effective. Underground buildings and caves are magicus-based. (Underground buildings are extremely expensive and difficult to build, mostly reserved for scientific research, fusion power plants, hospitals, medical labs/blood banks.)
- Water absorbs EMMR. Must be approximately 1000 meters (3300 feet) deep to completely block EMMR. Deep-sea is magicus-based.
- The cores of stars and planets provide protection from EMMR and will still produce their own electromagnetic fields.
Twilight Zones
- Areas/times where both PEM and MEM Fields work at the same time but with lowered/varying strengths
- Underground 0-5 meters (0-16 feet), underwater 200-1000 meters (650-3300 feet)
- Sunrise/sunset twilight times begin when the edge of the sun touches the horizon and ends when the opposite edge fully rises above or drops below the horizon. Lasts between 3 and 5 minutes.

Laws of Physics Changes Inside A Magicus Field
- Electrical charge is not transmitted through objects (all materials become insulators) – electrons can not be shared between components (PEM magnetism does not work)
- Because electron sharing is different in a MEM field, results of chemical interactions will vary based on whether it’s day or night.
- Thermal conduction: any temperature changes magically applied to a substance are not transmitted to other surfaces (solid or liquid) it contacts , but will slowly return to original temperature after 4 hours (dissipates into air)
