  "They're coming from the back too!" Dave yelled taking down an infected, but the waves seemed endless as the more he brought down their numbers seen to have double. Handling the infected wasn't an easy task and the situation grew even more complicated when infected known as 'racers' joined the herde rushing in like a car with no breaks towards the resort.

  They were the only infected which managed to penetrate unit 5s defence and got into the resort but as soon as they did before they could have the attack anyone again Leo was there to put them down permanently.

  "This is bad!" Kira sighed exhausted still shooting

  "You think?" Luke replied sarcastically, trying to reload his rifle, then noticed he had run out, he had just one more round left and that was the one he had just used

  "I'm out!!!" Luke yelled

  "Stay behind me, make sure to kill every racer which gets in"Leo ordered substituting himself with Luke who now held a dagger on arm.

  While on the top floors Chloe had just two rooms to search, she had searched all other floors but couldn't find anyone, not even an insect.

  "Did we really get a distress call?" Chloe wondered taking some steps closer to the two remaining rooms. But as she did so something absurd happened or rather something delightful "help" a voice called from one of the rooms.

  Thinking it could be the survivor Chloe speedily ran following the voice, she could kill for some good news right now. Finally getting there she swung the door open but what she found wasn't a survivor, it wasn't even human, what she found was an infected.

  "How did it cry for help, the infected weren't able to do that.....what was really going on" her questions piled up and she couldn't quite get an answer just stareing at something which wanted to kill her.

  The monster in front of her rushed towards her, mouths opened, hands forward and hungry for flesh. Chloe easily dodged the attack, using her handgun she made a hole through its head with one then watched it hit the floor.

  "There are no survivor.......this obviously is a trap, by those goddamned infected" Chloe concluded within herself turning around and quickly rushing down to inform her unit, but coincidentally she met them running upstairs while still shooting down at the infected running after them.

  "Grenade!!"yelled Luke, he had thrown a grenade at the stairs killing every infected on it and destroying the stairs with the impact. They were safe but they currently had no way down now.

  "We're trapped, good thinking Luke, nice way to use your brains" Dave retorted taking a sit at the opposite wall

  "At least I helped"Luke replied stareing down the destroyed stairs, there were more infected down there than when they had ran up.

  "If that stairs hadn't been taken out, trust me we would've" Luke continued this placing a cigar in his mouth.

  "I hate to admit it but Luke's right this time" Leo said, he had stood there for awhile observing their current situation and had analyzed what would have happened if Luke had not taken out the stairs.

  "I've analyzed every possible way of escape if the stares hadn't been blown off and there was a zero chance of us surviving" he continued walking towards Chloe

  "Any luck?" Leo asked

  "No........,but I did find out something bizzare and slightly fascinating" Chloe replied leading Leo to the body on the floor in the room at the end of the hall.

  "An infected?" Leo asked, he wandered what fascinated Chloe about this as he had seen nothing interesting about the monster infront of him.

  "I found it calling for help........., the survivor from the distress message sent to altera wasn't human but actually an infected" Chloe explained getting a look from Leo which clearly stated "have you been sleeping well?"

  "I know it sounds crazy but indeed happened, you've to believe me Leo" Chloe urged but Leo found it hard to believe any infected could utter a word. After a long two minutes of silence between the two Leo decided to say something.

  "I believe you, but w say nothing to the group for now, until we can prove this is that alright?" Leo asked Chloe knew Leo didn't fully believe her story she would find it hard to believe anyone with the same story as well, but Leo already knowing Chloe would never say something without seeing it was certain she had at least seen something bizzare.

  "Aight, nothing lost nothing gained I guess" Chloe replied. As soon as she did Leo then returned to the rest of the unit, they were all sitting on the floor close to the stairs when he arrived with Chloe behind him.

  "So any plans or how we get out?" Dave asked his gaze locked on Chloe. He wondered why she wasn't using it, her ability, it was a part of her but she refused to see it nor accept it as she believed it made her more infected than human.

  "Negative, I'm sorry, I think we'll be spending the night here, then tomorrow we come with a plan, if that's alright with all of you" Leo said, he had run out of options and had already tried coming up with a plan but non was possible and I ever way he looked at it one member within the group would have to die

  "Sounds plan enough for me" luke replied exhaling some smoke out of his mouth.
