Chapter Three: Future Tales to Past Times

Okay, let's see if I can access my downloaded manga. I should be able to, since I don't need internet to access stuff downloaded to my phone. But time travel is something else entirely. Ryomen sat on the toilet, unlocking his phone. Heh, I still have access to them. I can still reread One Piece...actually, all of the manga I have downloaded are finished, I could write them now, so I can have paperback covers of them. I can recreate the art style of each one. I drew a lot with Emiko in every shonen, seinen, shojo, manhwa, and isekai art style. I just need a lot of paper and a lot of time to do it. Sorry, Akira Toriyama, but I'm gonna have to steal some peak so you can create something even better in this new future. Ryomen scrolled through his phone. Eh? "Bao's Notes on Time Travel to Convince Ryomen." Usually, I'd cuss you out for saving notes in my Google Keep. But this is a lifesaver for later. Ryomen turned his phone off.

"I told grandma I was using the bathroom as my excuse to leave the livingroom. It'll be a waste of water, but I need to keep up my excuse." Ryomen muttered under his breath, flushing the toilet and washing his hands. I should see if modern Shonen is interesting to people of this time period, which one should I explain? Probably JJK, KnY, Solo Leveling, or MHA. JJK was more popular among those options. Ryomen entered the livingroom, sitting back down on the couch. "Ryomen, how much mochi do you want? I made forty." Mao peeked into the livingroom. "I want ten pieces of mochi, please," Ryomen answered. "Okay, I'll bring them out now." Mao went back into the kitchen.

"Hey, Mao. I wanted to know if this idea I had would make for a good manga." Ryomen spoke between bites of mochi, "Okay, let me hear it." Mao opened her eyes slightly, leaning forward. Ryomen proceeded to explain Jujutsu Kaisen to Mao, watching her reactions closely. This is the first time I've seen grandma so animated with her expressions, it looks like she's into the story at least. Ryomen finished his explanation of Jujutsu Kaisen and Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo. "That story sounds so cool. Why is the main villain of the second part named Ryomen Sukuna?" Mao tilted her head. I am cooked. How do I explain Sukuna's name? It would be different if his name wasn't also Ryomen. Time to bullshit my way through this. "I chose his name because it means Two-Faced Monarch. As he is supposed to be nameless in his era, with the name Ryomen Sukuna coming from future sorcerers." Ryomen answered.

"Oh, that's a fitting name then." Mao smiled. Good thing I remembered the meaning of those names. If it wasn't for Sukuna's full form, the explanation would've been harder. Ryomen sighed. "You should write it. I have a lot of blank paper in my room and some art supplies that you can use. You can use my room to write in, I have some chores to do anyway." Mao suggested. "Okay, Mao. Thank you for the offer." Ryomen stood up, making his way to Mao's room. Huh? I haven't shown him my room yet. I only showed him where the bathroom is. Mao tilted her head.

So this is what grandma's bedroom looked like when she was younger. It looks like pictures of mom's childhood bedroom. Bao and Emiko share the same bedroom design. Though I don't see them leaving the cutesy style anytime soon...of course I don't, they're far from being alive currently. Anyway, where did grandma always leave those art supplies? Wait...right...I'm in the past, grandma doesn't know me, so I'd be snooping. Fuck, I went directly to grandma's room without any help. Ryomen face-palmed. Walking towards Mao's bedroom door, Ryomen went to open it. Stopping as Mao opened it. "I realized that I didn't show you where my art supplies are. But how did you know where my room was?" Mao opened her eyes a bit wider.

This tale has been unlawfully obtained from Royal Road. If you discover it on Amazon, kindly report it.

"I just...guessed that this was the right one. It looked like it'd be your room from looking at the door." Ryomen looked away from Mao's gaze. "Hmm...are you a psychic or something? Like a fortune teller?" Mao narrowed her eyes. "Oh, no. Y...my grandma always told me not to trust scammers like them. As if they need payment to repeat your questions, you didn't deserve that money to begin with." Ryomen shook his head. "That's what my older sister tells me all the time." Mao closed her eyes. "Older sister? I thought you only had two little brothers?" Ryomen cocked his brow. "Oh, I have an older brother, two older sisters, and two younger brothers." Mao walked over to her nightstand.

Right, it was the nightstand. Ryomen watched Mao's movements. "When you're done, I'd love to be the first to read them." Mao left her room. Now, to start writing and drawing the first volumes of every manga saved on my phone. Ryomen plugged up his phone, scrolling through it. After three hours, Ryomen finished recreating the mangas on his phone. For Shonen, I have Dragon Ball, One Piece, Bleach, Naruto, HxH, Death Note, Black Clover, Soul Eater, Fire Force, Jojo's, JJK, MHA, KnY, FMAB, Records of Ragnarok, Magi, Tokyo Revengers, Baki, and AOT. For Seinen, I have Berserk, Tokyo Ghoul, and Devil Man Crybaby. For Manhwa, I have Solo Leveling, God of High School, Tower of God, Lookism, and Hardcore Leveling Warrior. For Isekais, I have Konosuba, Re: Zero, Rising of the Shield Hero, Fate, Overlord, Tensura, SAO, Login Horizon, Gate, and Eminence in Shadow. And for Shojo, I have Sailor Moon, Fruits Basket, My Little Monster, The Apothecary Diaries, May I Ask One Final Thing, and Psychic Princess. Ryomen picked up all of the papers.

Ryomen walked out to the livingroom, seeing seven new people in there. Those must be my great-grandparents, my grand aunts, and grand uncles. I never met them before, mom never mentioned them either. Ryomen looked around. "Ah, there he is. Misa, Ruka, Ryu. This is the man I was talking about." Mao gestured to Ryomen. "He looks like a delinquent from some random manga." Ryu examined Ryomen, "You'd know all about delinquents, huh. Residential gang member?" Ruka glared at Ryu. "Hello, young man. My name is Jinichi Akuzawa, this is my wife, Yae Akuzawa, and these two boys are Yugi Akuzawa and Akira Akuzawa." Jinichi stood up, holding his hand out. "I'm Ryomen Hitowari. A pleasure to meet you." Ryomen bowed.

"Well, isn't he traditional in his respect?" Yae giggled. "You don't have to bow to our father, it'll be awkward for our dad to see that every day," Misa said. "Huh?" Ryomen cocked his brow, "Big sister said that you don't know where an apartment was that you were looking for, so dad said that you could live here." Yugi answered. "Big sister also said that you were drawing and writing manga. Can we read it?" Akira asked. "Sure, I just wrote the first volume of multiple ideas." Ryomen placed the papers on the coffee table, keeping each paper together of the mangas.

While watching them read the mangas, Ryomen noticed a few he didn't remember being in his downloads. Komi Can't Communicate, My Deer Friend Nokotan, Frieren, Pokémon, Yu-Gi-Oh, Digimon, Sakamoto Days, Umamusume: Pretty Derby, Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid, SpyxFamily, Alya Sometimes Speaks in Russian, and Dandadan. I didn't read any of these...fucking hell, Bao didn't delete any manga she put on my phone. I did like playing Yu-Gi-Oh's card game and watching Digimon but...hold up, this would mean that the biggest IP would only exist because I wrote it in my flow state. The same goes for Digimon and Yu-Gi-Oh. Maybe these titles won't be liked, so I won't have to get them published. Ryomen sighed.

"You should publish these, they're all great," Ryu said. Goddamnit. "If you say so." Ryomen smiled nervously.
