-Kenzo Age 11-

  Pov: Kakashi

  "Before you is the students in which will be graduating this year, on your left is multiple students we have taken special attention too- we will hand out the ones that need to be directly picked and then you may all look at the others and see if they mesh with your style of teaching" The Hokage puffs on his pipe and gestures to a long table where documents sit- many jonin stand around and look at the documents.

  Its way too crowded in here... I should take three Randoms and get this over with- I approach the table and feel the gaze of the Hokage on me... right, he wanted me to take Kenzo if no one else did.

  Damn. I look around at the other candidates and hope they aren't occupied with others.

  "Firstly. Rock lee is being taken by Gai, as the conditions for his training are met exclusively well" A document is thrown to Gai next to me who catches it with a smile.

  "Neji Hyuga- a very talented individual who the cn head has asked to ensure that he gets into a team worthy of his talent- I am afraid that means only the experienced Jonin in this room may take him" The Hokage decres and everyone looks around.

  Hmmm... apart from me, Gai and a few others... yeah Gai seems like the right choice with his taijutsu specialty.

  "If no one else is interested I would not mind taking in Neji, Rock Lee has a rivalry going with him" Gai gestures to the next document and no one argues- mostly because they don't want to risk getting on the Hyuga's bad side with a mistake.

  "And stly, Kenzo- someone who the Jinchurikii considers as his brother, I can already see that most of you do not wish to train someone close to young Naruto, those of you with interest please raise your hand" the Hokage asks and I watch as two hands raise.

  My own and another Jonin I have never seen before.

  ...? Damnit.

  I scan the room and cant see Asuma... maybe I should of followed him and not shown up.

  The other Jonin speaks up.

  "If possible I would love the opportunity to make Kenzo into a fine ninja, I don't see his unique features as obstacles to overcome- but rather gifts to hone" the other Jonin smiles at the Kage who raises his brow and gnces at me.

  "If I might say something Hokage-sama?" Oto speaks up.

  "Go ahead" The Hokage replies.

  "Kenzo is not suited for a standard team at all- in fact his disabilities make him a hard student to train, if you wish to train him you must pick a team surrounding his talents so the others a not held back-" Oto begins expining but is interrupted by the other Jonin.

  "Do not worry, I am thinking about such things already- I will be sure to pick others that suit him" He expins.

  "Kakashi, any counter arguments for you teaching the boy?" The Hokage asks.

  "I don't mean to be rude Hokage-sama, but wouldn't you want someone who will actually graduate the boy...? If he fails the graduation test while his loyalty to Konoha is being questioned-" The opposing Jonin gets interrupted by Oto.

  "Kenzo may have been in an incident during his youth, but all accounts of suspicion towards his loyalty were dropped by Hokage-sama when I filled in a report of his behaviour-" Oto gets interrupted this time.

  "And yet the boy still needs a dedicated teacher, I would make sure to teach him to his upmost potential- he needs someone who would show up on time at least, his file says that he trains more than he does anything else" The Jonin critiques.

  "That information is old, he trains around the same amount as every other student-" Oto replies but gets interrupted.

  "Is there a reason you don't wish for me to be his teacher?" The Jonin asks.

  ...

  "Yes. You are inadequate" Oto replies coldly.

  "How so? I have multiple references and my history as a Jonin is filled with many missions completed without mistake" He asks.

  "Kenzo would hate to work under you, in fact he might just quit and become part of the genin corps a week into working for you" Oto replies.

  "For what reason? Answer the question" the man insists and Oto gres.

  He knows that we cannot speak about Root and Danzo's schemes in the public like this.

  "How about a test of compatibility? His teacher can ask questions about him and you answer... if you are considered incompatible then withdraw your application to teach him" I wave my hand and expin.

  "Sounds like a good idea, Oto-san would you please ask three questions for him to answer?" The Hokage asks and Oto nods his head.

  "Then... How would you teach him? Give a concise answer on what would be your teaching methods" Oto asks.

  "I would focus on helping him master his genjutsu and refining his Taijutsu, he has a solid grasp on keeping himself in shape so I don't have to" He responds.

  "He does not need your help with Genjutsu, a genuis in his own right- we gave him a Chunin level test without telling him and he answered above 90/100 questions correct- whatever he does Genjutsu should not be your concern... you are correct about the others however" Oto replies.

  "So? I would have understood that upon trying to teach him, my answer is correct" He answers.

  ...

  "If Kenzo shed out at you in anger, how would you respond?" Oto asks.

  "Expin- why is he shing out in anger" He asks.

  "You make a bad comment out his brother" Oto expins.

  "First of all, I would never start making fun of others siblings- secondly I would apologise and try to calm him down" He answers.

  "... I would see that as the wrong answer" Oto says and gnces at the Hokage in a panic.

  It seems the Hokage asked him to object to his teaching... he needs help.

  "What? How is that the wrong answer? What is the correct one?" He asks.

  "Kenzo is a unique individual, I as the Hokage have watched over him and can personally vouch for his maturity- if he is angry at you he will not let it go, only because Kenzo doesn't get angry at useless things... in that situation the correct thing to do is use actions rather than words, show up to his house and apologize to his brother- perhaps buy them a meal at Ichiraku's... Kenzo wouldn't ever forgive you, only because he chooses his anger wisely" the Hokage answers and the Jonin grits his teeth, luckily he cant argue against the kage... he should have been more specific in his response.

  "Then the st question. If Kenzo asked you to teach him Ninjutsu, would you try knowing he cannot cast it?" Oto asks.

  ...? That's an odd question...

  "That's not fair, you can say I am wrong in both yes or no- you would call me foolish for trying and stupid for not, I would take him to the hospital to get checked if he has the ability, if not then no I would not waste our time" He replies in annoyance.

  "Cant we just give him the kid? This is taking forever and these questions are all stupid because the man hasn't met the kid at all? We adapt to train" Another Jonin asks in annoyance.

  "Its stupid, he wont even become a chunin without the ability to flicker or use any of the basic three justu" Another one adds.

  ...

  I can feel the annoyance in the air... and the Hokage gncing at me, if he asks me for my reason I would have to keep it short and simple- not nearly enough time to sway everyone... and the more I talk the less they would care for this kid and just flip a coin.

  *Knock* *Knock*

  "Enter" The Hokage decres as the door to this meeting opens... in pops a teacher overlooking the tests of the graduating students, Mizuki was his name I believe.

  "I am sorry for the interruption Hokage-sama, the children just finished the final exam and when we were looking through it... the morality test specifically- we have found reason to have Kenzo held back until next year" He responds.

  "Why? Show me" the Hokage holds out his hand and the teacher walks up and pces his test in them.

  "He is outside as well... I didn't know how you wanted to handle this" Mizuki says.

  "How bad can it be?" The opposing Jonin asks.

  "... Terrible. Why would he...?" The Hokage mutters.

  "Everyone else look through these documents, anyone interested in Kenzo as a student follow me" The Hokage decres and walks out with Mizuki... I and the other Jonin follow, Inoichi, Shikaku, Gai and Kurenai follow.

  ...

  We see Kenzo sitting on one of the benches in the hall way, as soon as he hears us he gets up.

  "Hey gramps" He says.

  "Kenzo. I just skimmed through your test" He replies.

  "Is it that bad? I don't see anything wrong with my answers" Kenzo shrugs.

  "That's- how can you not!?" Mizuki yells.

  The Hokage raises his hand to calm Mizuki down and takes a breath.

  "Lets see... why did you write this for question 2C: If you had to make a decision between saving the Hokage or ten Genin what would you choose? Answer: I wouldn't save the Hokage, he can get out of his own mess"

  ...

  What??? Why would he write that down?

  "Because your old gramps, let the children live man..." Kenzo responds.

  "Why did you write to leave me instead of save the children then? You must take this test seriously Kenzo" The Hokage scolds sternly.

  "I am?" He asks back.

  ...

  "Next question then. 4F: would you accept a bribe from someone with ill intentions? Answer: Yes" The Hokage asks.

  Seriously? That's a no brainer?

  "You wouldn't? That's dumb" Kenzo shrugs his shoulders.

  "Why would you?" The Hokage asks.

  "Free money? No one said I had to follow through with the idiot handing out money" Kenzo expins.

  ...???? Is he writing these answers to purposefully annoy the teacher? Why would he answer yes and not expin? Why isn't he expining?

  "Next one- 4G: You have caught your co-worker taking a bribe, what do you do? Answer: Stare at him... actually I get that one... next question- 5B: Presented with destroying your enemies or saving your allies, which one would you choose? Answer: Destroy enemies... Kenzo I know you wouldn't, so why write this?" The Hokage asks.

  "Might have something to do with the overseer of my test" He answers with a frown.

  "How so?" The Hokage asks and gnces at Mizuki who is as confused as I am.

  "He looks funny" He answers.

  You are blind kid. At least I don't have to tutor anyone... for another year that is.

  "Look... funny?" Hokage crifies.

  "Yep" Kenzo answers.

  "(Whisper) Why did my daughter decide to like you.." Inoichi mutters and applies pressure to the bridge of his nose as Shikaku ughs at his misfortune.

  "I told you- He needs someone to keep him in check and guide him towards a more loyal way of thinking" The opposing Jonin gnces at Oto.

  "Kenzo. Is. Loyal" Oto responds slowly.

  "You just saw his test- how can you call him completely loyal after those answers?" He mocks.

  ...

  Everyone falls silent.

  "Can I go? I have to prepare pizza bases at home" Kenzo asks and everyone looks at him in disbelief.

  "Kenzo... we were in a meeting discussing who would be your team sensei, it is disappointing to know that you failed this test... but if you had to choose, out of all of us here who would you like as your sensei?" Shikaku asks with a smirk.

  Genin aren't supposed to know that... but Shikaku asked and he is in charge of these kinds of things so no problem there.

  "Out of these guys? Psh- only the dy is suitable" He responds.

  "May I ask why? I only came to this meeting to observe for next year, I had no intention of becoming a sensei just yet" Kurenai pipes up.

  "Its not because your into mothers and old dies is it?" Inoichi asks with a raised eyebrow.

  ...

  "Shut your mouth please" Kenzo responds in an upbeat tone.

  "Answer her question Kenzo..." Oto-sensei asks awkwardly.

  Kid has good taste it seems, though what is wrong with this brat? Why doesn't he care about the test but is sensitive about his preference in women? Does he not want to graduate...? He wants to team up with Naruto maybe?

  "It is because that stalker was relieved the second I was considered out of becoming a genin. He sounds like a toddler and Inoichi-san has been gring at me due to rejecting his daughter recently, I don't know about the other guy next to him though- or you to be fair" Kenzo points at the few and the opposing Jonin twitches when he is pointed too and called a toddler.

  Wait- stalker? Oh... that is interesting, he can remember how my gaze felt? That was quite some time ago I monitored him...

  "So its because of deduction and no reason other than I am not as bad as the others?" She asks.

  "Yep- well, technically the other guy would be contending- I chose you over him for seeing through my genjutsu quickly" Kenzo replies with a smile... and Kurenai smiles too.

  "Ah- the test" The Hokage sighs and rubs his forehead.

  "What?" Mizuki and Oto ask at the same time.

  I squint at the test... huh... it is a genjutsu, a pretty good one too, B rank at least- multi yered and not obvious unless looking for it.

  "The test had a genjutsu over it with false answers... it should be better now- take him back would you Mizuki" The Hokage hands back the papers and sends off a bewildered teacher and an amused student.

  ...

  "So a toddler huh?" I say sarcastically to the other Jonin.

  "I still believe that I should tutor him" He responds with gritted teeth.

  "Kurenai. If asked would you teach him?" The Hokage turns to her as Shikaku and Inoichi leave.

  I would have thought Inoichi a great pick, shame he has responsibility as the head of his cn... maybe if this year had a Yamanaka in it.

  "... I wasn't pnning to... but if you want me to try I can" She responds with a light bow.

  "Hold on Hokage-sama, I want to teach the boy" The Jonin pleads.

  "Yes. You do don't you- Kurenai, take his document and file it ter" The Hokage smiles and she nods before leaving to the meeting.

  "But-" The Jonin gets interupted.

  "I tolerated you in the meeting. Out here? You can tell Danzo that this is my st warning- stay away from Kenzo, any movements in his direction and I will have the council retired and repced with new faces" The Hokage threatens and the Jonin bows before flickering away.

  ...

  That was a mess- completely stupid as well... the moral of the story is that I should have slept in today.

  Pov: Kurenai

  Okay... lets read through this file quickly so I can have a pick at my other two students... this is exciting, I wasn't expecting to become a Jonin sensei this year... I just got promoted and everything.

  Name: Kenzo

  ...

  Personality: A calm individual who can go through anything or anyone that stands in his way, he often shows signs of familial love and has shown intense maturity for someone his age alongside bouts of mental instability in the past, but above all he is calm when it matters most.

  ...

  Likes to meditate to a point of comatose state??? That's... something I have never heard of before...

  ...

  Intense Genjutsu Affinity? What does that mean...? No ninjutsu... no standardized ninja techniques, a very slow ninja...

  Slow? Oh, no flickering or tree hopping without bursts of chakra.

  ...

  That's a lot of information, now I need to find two others to pce on his team.

  I look across the desk- half of the papers are taken and most of the Jonin are gone, the rest look through each document carefully.

  Lets get started then.

  -ten minutes ter-

  Alright. Lets file for my new team... still cant believe this, I have to ask Anko- Asuma- Kakashi- never mind, I keep thinking about who could help me with teams... and they don't seem so... adept, at least not more than me.

  Maybe Gai knows something... but I can guess half his advice is the word 'Youth'

  Haaa- I pick up the documents and walk down the hall.

  Kenzo.

  Male- Genjutsu user.

  Not actually blind and a horrible history to look through, loves to train and often buys flowers- some mental issues to work through.

  Kanata.

  Male- Ninjutsu user.

  Loves to py violin in his free time, often seen prioritising musical training over ninja training, only became ninja due to enrolling and having talent in weaving jutsu.

  Katsuko.

  Female- Kenjutsu user.

  Loves to train with the Katana despite her cking talent and anxiety about being worthless as a ninja... something about a crush on 'Neji Hyuga' gone wrong.

  Lets hope this team works...

  Pov: Kenzo

  "Team six- Kanata, Kenzo and Katsuko with Kurenai Yuhi as your Jonin sensei" Oto-sensei tells us and continues to the next group of people.

  Kanata... Kanata... nope, don't know him at all- but I do know Katsuko, she baked cookies that one time for the css... and also knew a lot of fun sword facts, my kind of friend- then again I didn't really hang out with her...

  "Kenzo, Kanata and Katsuko, would you please follow me?" A voice calls out and we get up to follow it... that sounds like the dy I picked, must have tipped the scales when they asked me about my sensei.

  We follow her down the hall and up the stairs towards a nice spot on the roof... I can hear Lee and his new team follow us up here and find another pce on the roof.

  "Please take a seat" She says and I follow to sit down with the others.

  "As your Jonin sensei we have a few things to go over... firstly would be getting to know each other- Likes, dislikes, hobbies and dreams, does anyone want to start?" She asks.

  "My name is Kanata, I like music and pying the violin- absolutely hate bugs and don't like small talk, my dream is to master my violin and tour around the nd of fire as a performer" Kanata stands up and tells us.

  "My name is Kenzo, I like Ramen and helping my family, my hobby is finding fun facts that no one else knows and I dislike snakes and one eyed old people compensating for something, I dream to help my brother fulfil his own dream" I stand up and sit back down.

  "My name is Katsuko... I like... swords and cats... and dogs... and sometimes Dango, my hobby is training with the sword... I dislike sads... and carrots- I dream to... be a better swordswomen" She stands and introduces herself before sitting back down and fidgeting around.

  "My name is Kurenai Yuhi, I like octopus and wasabi... Sake and vodka but dislike cake, my hobby is an evening drink and I dream often about many various things, I have just finished a recent one about becoming a Jonin, and now a Jonin sensei" Our sensei introduces herself.

  "Now that we have introduced ourselves... why don't we find a training ground and see if you can pass to become genin?" She cps her hands together and I tilt my head in confusion.

  Didn't we already graduate...?
