March 2nd, 1919

A very known tragedy has struck us. There are not many times where I guess that someone is going to die. Roy has unfortunately died. One of the last things that he told me was that he knew he was going to die in the first place because he had the opportunity to grow so old, unlike everyone else in our unit.

"I know that he was going to die, but I feel awful," Angelo muttered.

This book was originally published on Royal Road. Check it out there for the real experience.

I can tell that everyone's view on the death of someone in our unit is much different than the beginning. We were all so sad when Kimi died, now we don't even seem to bat an eye. There are six of us left. I brought this up with Lawrence and Angelo.

Lawrence nodded, "We used to be so small compared to our unit. Now, we are half of it. It feels so odd. I wonder what they're going to think when we get back."

"If we get back," I muttered.
