February 8th, 1919

We moved south today in search of the village. I know it will be a task to find it. It is not hard to keep up with all of us anymore. We are only nine now. It seems like there has been nothing but death rocking our lives. I will not be able to stand the sight of a fire after this. We have done nothing but burn the bodies.

"What are you sad about today?" Lawrence asked, hiking along with me.

I shrugged, "You know, just the usual. How it's easier to move and keep up with everyone because of how little of us there are. It's just you, me, Angelo, Lawrence, Yuri, Albert, William the American, Roy, Mosao, and Igor. I could hardly list the names when we started out with this journey. I tried to save them. It never works."

If you discover this tale on Amazon, be aware that it has been unlawfully taken from Royal Road. Please report it.

"Cheer up, Felix. I hate it when you talk and you're down. It makes me want to learn Russian to speak to Igor over you," Lawrence told me.

"You're really annoying, you know that?" I questioned.

He nodded. I am glad that he can take my mind of of the losses we have endured, even if it's only for a little.
