Chapter 65 Fate Weavers

The threads of fate run not only through the realm of gods, but the innumerable realms. Those that can strum along their strings helping to weave fate into existence are known as fate weavers. These creatures are devoid of humanity only having the feeling of moving forward and threading the future, whatever it may hold. Without the goddess of Destiny their power is stronger than ever.

“Should we allow them to free it, they seem content with remaking the realm by crushing it under claw and fang,” Avarice asks.

“The toils of mortals have no say on the realm of the gods, we need only put down Garren and destroy the influence of the table, then we will rule unabated and absolute, whether the Cult of the Immortal Father oppose us or not,” Fate replies.

“And you are sure you can defeat the child of Dios and Lucifer?” Avarice questions.

“We will not have to, as I would have it, the Voidlord will be set upon the path of its destruction by none other than its own mother,” Fate replies.

“Lord Valdron, a string has been strung and the fabric hums in resonance with its causality, a course has been set, and a new path is born,” one of the male fate weavers says turning his pitch-black gaze toward Fate.

“I told you not to address me by that name,” Fate scoffs.

“I have no need to meet your desires, my purpose is only to weave the threads of fate that make up the fabric of reality, if you deem me unfit for this task then strike me down and I will soon be replaced by another, my existence is fleeting as yours may be if you desire to act as a pitiful mortal,” the weaver replies.

“Fine, what have you seen, what has stirred the fabric of reality?” Fate asks angrily.

“Ellaria Elpis, the one known as Destiny, is to be reborn, a child will enter the realm in one period of gestation, among the millions to be born in this period one will be inhabited by the reincarnated soul of the god of Destiny, Ellaria Elpis,” the weaver states.

Fate turns away angrily his gaze meeting Avarice as it turns to a murderous lust.

“Kill them, all of them, it seems we will have to weave the threads of fate into a reality of our own fabric,” Fate demands.

Avarice lowers her gaze biting her lip lustfully.

“Ofcourse my lord Valdron,” she says with a bow.

The fate weavers do not scream, nor do they flee as they are slaughtered. They are merely removed from being and are soon replaced by other empty vessels eager to weave the threads of fate into the fabric of reality.

Avarice joins Fate, or lord Valdron in his chambers. Valdron sits on the edge of a large circular bed pulling a small pipe from the nightstand resting beside it. He lights the pipe taking a puff. The burning herb has no effect on him.

“You know Avaricentia, sometimes I miss being a mortal,” he says setting the pipe back on the nightstand.

Avarice climbs onto the bed placing herself behind him as she grips his shoulders firmly massaging them.

“Don’t worry my love, I’ve found something that can, afflict gods with mortal afflictions,” she says seductively nibbling on his neck.

Valdron lays back into her, and she runs her hands over his firm chest before ripping his shirt off with a smile.

“You’re so aggressive Ava, what do you have for me this time?”

Avarice pulls a small vial from her inventory and pours it over his chest rubbing it into his skin sensually.

“Relax, and let the herbs take hold,” she says before kissing him.

The narrative has been taken without authorization; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident.

Valdron goes into a fit of ecstasy as the herbs he smoked afflict him for the first time in over a hundred years. The realm turns strange and every sensual touch from Avarice is a fit of ecstasy.

Garren stands on the floating mountain of Olympus peering through the clouds at the culmination of land masses that make up the realm of the gods. Spells that would cause catastrophic damage to the realm of Gottes flash beneath the clouds as the roars of beasts and gods alike shake the heavens from which he is perched.

“It wasn’t supposed to be like this,” Garren sighs.

A familiar scaled hand grips his shoulder as Drako slithers up behind him placing his hands at his flank.

“Yes, my friend, things rarely are how they were supposed to be,” he states.

“What should we do then?” Garren asks.

“Put your faith in the Voidwalker, I know you are blind to his future, god of foresight,” Drako says with a crooked grin.

  “Your champion?”

  “Yes, for now,” Drako replies.

They both peer down at the war being waged among the gods below them. Garren’s frown, recently plagued by despair, turns slightly upward into a half smile of hope.

Avarice returns to the chambers holding the fabric of reality to greet her new fate weavers.

“Is the coming of the world ender that caused the descent of the corelands as foretold by Genesis still in the threads of fate?” She asks.

“Yes, lady Avaricentia,” the weavers reply in unison.

Mateo presses his hand over Silvia’s chest forcing her behind him as the avatar of Dios approaches. He draws Drako’s razor readying himself for combat.

“Step back dragon bitch,” Mateo says raising the blade.

Dios snaps her fingers and the world comes to a stop. Mateo is paralyzed along with the apostle of Revival. Natalia appears above him adorned in her sexy goth armor.

“Using divine power will draw the ire of the gods,” Natalia says placing herself between Mateo and Dios.

“Settle down Starbreaker, I have only come to talk, it is a task granted to me by the Taskmaster,” Dios states.

“Fine, but don’t forget who I am you dirty old dragon bitch,” Natalia scoffs seeming far more irritated than Mateo has ever seen her.

Dios’ avatar moves closer to Mateo her eyes trained on him with a hunger.

“Oh how I miss mingling with young adventurers, they used to crawl over themselves to bed me, hundreds of suitors every week lining up to gain an audience with the dragon god lady Amicus,” she coughs, “I mean, Dios.”

Mateo stares at her unable to move. Dios snaps her fingers, and Mateo and Silvia are released from their unseen restraints, but time does not continue.

“What do you want?” Mateo questions.

“The Cult of the Immortal Father seek to free my son Revelatio from his bindings,” she replies pacing about anxiously.

“So, you’ve been working with them so that they would release your son?” Mateo snipes.

“No, I was working with Avarice and Fate so that I would be free, my son must not be released from his bindings, or it would spell the end of Terramundus, and if not put down quickly, all of Gottes,” Dios replies.

“If he is released, what then?”

Dios moves closer to Mateo and Natalia readies herself to attack, but she only holds out her hand.

“Take my hand, and I will imbue you with the knowledge of revelations.”

Mateo places his hand in hers and his vision fades.

Terramundus year 3760 After Starbreak. A child is born between the dragon God Dios and the after-life god Lucifer. It is a horrifying creature of seven heads red scales and eleven horns. Lucifer is disgusted by the beast and banishes Dios from his realm. The dragon god paves a path of gore and destruction back to the living realms cradling the monstrosity in her arms.

Terramundus year 3800 After Starbreak. The planet known as Terramundus is besieged by a massive celestial entity resembling a dragon with seven heads, red scales, and eleven horns. Dios pleads to the taskmaster to spare her only child, but the taskmaster is not empathetic, and only seeks balance.

As a creature of the realms of the living and the afterlife, Revelatio cannot simply be slain. A group of adventurers meet Dios in her chambers answering a quest to fell Revelatio, and in her anger she slays them.

The following moonfall Revelatio absorbs the fourth moon, Sakura, obliterating its inhabitants. It uses the power from its absorption on Drakvania. Instead of destroying the planet it turns Drakvania and the surrounding area into a perfect sphere and the planet of Terramundus fractures.

The sphere, now known as the corelands, descends spilling excess mana to the remaining land masses in its orbit. Dios, enraged by the actions of her child seeks to discipline him. She escapes the reaches of gravity entering the astral and the outer vacuum. Several newly ascended gods meet her in the outer vacuum. Garren, Gaia, Drako, and a shady figure.

The celestial entity Revelatio is wounded, but shows no signs of defeat. Dios grants the four ascended beings the ability to seal it away. The cost of this ability puts Dios into an eternal slumber but saves the realm from destruction. Garren approaches Dios holding his hand out and saying a few inaudible words before her vision fades.

When her vision returns Dios is in the dragon temple as her avatar, alone.

Mateo opens his eyes with a sigh.

“I feel real bad for you dragon lady, but I also don’t give a shit about any of that, what are you trying to tell me?”

“I need you to stop my son.”

Quest attained: Revelations- prevent the son of Dios and Lucifer from destroying the realm of Gottes.
