2035 S.C. 289th day: Haran and his infant son Heron are found in the snow outside Haugstad by guards Yuri and Malcolm. (Ch.2.1)

2035 S.C. 293rd day: Haran reveals his history with crystal experiments to Adel; he loses control of his power during a council meeting, revealing himself as a catalyst. (Ch.3.1–3.2)

2038 S.C. 87th day: Haran returns to Haugstad on a steam motorcycle to visit Heron (now a toddler) and Adel. Haran and Adel agree to keep Haran's identity from Heron. (Ch.4.1)

2042 S.C.: The village chief Adel passes away and is buried. Haran visits the grave and speaks with Agnus about telling Heron the truth. (Ch.5.1–5.2)

[Spring 2046]: Heron trains with the sword. Haran brings a blue soul crystal found on a dead merchant and proposes selling it to fund the village. (Ch.8.2)
