It turns out that this “knowledge” has a personality, as somehow, it's telling her that Cyra should get the Fire element. Even though she didn’t personally know this, she selected the Elements tab on her stats just to open a new window. This new window showed the Elements she has, Thunder, Dark, and Water, as “Elemental Tokens”.
[Elemental Tokens: 4
- Water: 1
- Thunder: 2
- Dark: 1]
Before Cyra could react, the System took control for the first time. Or maybe some other external presence. In the top right corner, there is a dark blue circle. Inside that circle, is another circle connected to a line that is thicker on the bottom. This influence selected it, opening a new window. On that new window, is a rectangle. Letter by letter, a word appeared.
“Ice.”
Below the rectangle, more of these “Elemental Tokens” appeared in a list. On the top of the list, it reads “Required Element Tokens”.
[Required Elemental Tokens:
- Fire x2
- Water x5
- Thunder x1
- Earth x1]
“What?” Cyra thought to herself.
“I agree,” Hermes transmitted from witin the Ring of Souls, “It sounds daunting and specific.”
“Two things,” Cyra mentally replied, “First, shut up. Second, that’s not why I’m confused.”
Stolen from Royal Road, this story should be reported if encountered on Amazon.
“I wouldn’t try to get the Ice element,” Hermes responded, “I doubt you are too.”
Cyra hates to admit it, but Hermes is right she doesn’t want the Ice element. She just wants more of the Water element to be like her mother. Why does this influence want the Ice element? The influence started clicking on the elements.
[Fire + Water = Mist
Mist + Fire = Air
Air + Water = Cloud
Cloud + Thunder = Storm
Storm + Water = Rainstorm
Rainstorm + Water = Snowstorm
Snowstorm + Earth = Snow
Snow + Earth = Ice]
Cyra swallowed. And then smirked at Hermes also swallowing. It seems daunting. Nine milestone deaths. She isn’t even sure if they’re going to be consecutive. She doesn’t even know if they’re all going to be earned by death.
She walked down isle after isle, purposely avoiding the elemental one. Instead, her eyes landed on a parchment. The fact that Lysarra followed her bores her. Its too predictable to be surprising.
“Ah, I knew your eyes would sparkle at a Class-Based Roadmap,” Lysarra purred.
Lysarra picked the parchment up. “Barbarian, huh? You got a long way to go to reach there, little stripes. I’m not even sure its possible even with the System on your side. Especially with that Player inhabiting your body.”
Cyra ignored the “Player” part, still making sense of the trail according to the System window now in front of her.
[Class Route Requirement– Barbarian:
Clawswoman -> Swordswoman (from this point onword, a humanoid race is required)(weapon type required: Sword)
Swordswoman -> Great Swordswoman (Weapon Required: Greatsword, Stat Requirement: +1500 Strength, +750 Health)
Great Swordswoman -> Barbarian (Female)(Stat Requirement: +3000 Strength, +1500 Health, Skill Type Requirement: Taunt)]
This road seems a lot harder to Cyra, but this “roadmap” sings to her more than the one for the Ice element.
“I’ll take the parchement,” Cyra decided.
“Great,” Lysarra said, grinning, “Have a nice day. Don’t forget to visit My shop on your next death.”
Before Cyra could react, she finds herself in the ruins of the Tiger Tribe. All around her are dead bodies from both humans and tiger. She sighed in relief that no human have collected the bodies yet, despite the legends around humans. For a long while, she mourned those tigers who fallen before beginning her roaming.
