Looking at the guard who was now dead his blood and brains adorning my club I looked over at the bell and reaching under it I grabbed the metal ringer inside of it and ripped it out of the bell. Removing it I held it for a second a realized that the long metal pile could act as a spear. Chuckling evilly I raised it like I had seen Olympic athletes do with javelins I threw at one of the intact guard towers and it didn't disappoint as I speared through the tower. Skittering back as I wasn't anchoring myself I head the shouts of alarm and the yells of warning as the clock tower was being flooded with warriors as they do doubt saw the source of my projectile. I waited for a moment until almost all the guards where in or around the tower before simply jumping off. The weigh down wasn't to long but their was that drop in my stomach as I fell.
Once I landed however as I bent my legs to absorb the shock I realized I was no doubt going to feel that one in the morning. Standing up I walked up the small divet in the earth and to the base of the tower rasing my club I struck at and as easily as knife through butter my club based through stone. I had to quickly dash to the side as the tower began to crumble on itself due to the damage. Their were screeches of terror and fear as the top of the tower smashed into the fort walls on the opposite side of it those on the base floors would fucked up sure but unlike their compatriots on the top and middle floors very much alive. Which is how I wanted it. Figuring my work here was done I simply walked out of the unmmaned or unlizarded gate and back to camp.

In Paradox On the High Seas, two days away from the Pirate Isles, Lux's P.OV
...
The trip so far had been mundane I mean if you ignored the dead kraken that we had left bobbing in the water a day ago. The dam thing tried to destroy the sixth lieutenant's ship but had paid dearly for the misstep. However now though I was constantly checking the pitch black sea for any more shenanigans. Supposedly we had another day until we'd see the first patrols of the Pirates which we where supposed to destroy in order to get more of surprise attack in. Since we had a full dossier of every major ship each captain had an assigned target and those would go after those targets. So if the Wasteful Scavenger's ship the Sea Vulture showed its ugly head during the patrol skirmishes then I would break away from the fleet and attack.
Remembering that I had to practice I gripped the feeling of my paradox and began to blanket my ship in it. Let the light behind the ship through and absorb the light bouncing off the ship. I had manged it a few times but the hard part was keeping it especially when new/complex shapes moved ahead of us and I had to make sure their wasn't a haze of interference.
The key was impressing my view, my understanding, my imperfect view of my paradox onto reality. After I manged to create the flow of light and abyss required my crew moved in. Their goal was to get me to stop or disrupt me, while my goal was to fight them off and maintain the technique.
The first of my crew to come at was Kinetic a surly brick of an entity with a smile that would make you laugh even if his joke wasn't that funny. I couldn't remember what his paradox was but I knew he had the ability to absorb kinetic energy and return a portion of it and when he held rubbed palms together he could summon an explosion. Dodging to the side as his fist tried to hit me I ended up having to duck as another crewmate, a flaming skeleton with the ability to send out waves of sparks that never quite went out. A ray of sparks flew overhead and I quickly swept his feet from under him. After that I had to quickly move back as Kinetic tried to flatten me with a mix of his punches and kicks. Summoning a blast of fire as distraction I tried a new move I had been working on.

The idea was that I could absorb the light around me creating darkness which would obscure my movements before unleashing a blast of that absorbed light into a blast of plasma and blinding light. The amount of plasma I could make was miniscule but volitile. The hard part was doing this and not releasing my control of the ships cloak.
In my left fist I absorbed light as I channeled the concept of void, of nothingness. Then I hit Kinetic with a blast of Light. It was like flash grenade. Yes! I did it, however as I realized this I also realized that the giant flash of light wrecked my cloak, meaning I had won the battle but lost the war.
"CREW WINS" my first mate decreed jovially, putting out Skeles sparks that he flew earlier. Shaking off the mental drain I stood around for while before going back into my quarters. As Captain their wasn't much do until things went to shit, so here I was holding a small crystal ball a smooth narrator and vivid images of various myst see locations on the mortal plains and beyond. What I was mostly interested in was the wildlife, creatures that resembled Earth's and those that were completely alien. On one planet their were floating elephant like things that bounced around floating islands as they used a racial Trait to inflate their stomachs enough to float. If things where a big different I would love to travel the cosmos learning and studying the infinite animals and sights.

The Next Day
...
I stood by the wheel watching the horizon on edge should we see a flag bearing a crow emblem we where to haul ass to it. The nerves of the crew was palpable as they were ready we where coming up to the area where we would meet the first series of patrols.
It had already been a few hours since light staring pouring for the sky as the day rose, and yet no... Patrols.
"CAPTAIN LUX SHIPS OFF THE STARBOARD QUARTER, WE'VE GOT THE PATROLS" Skele yelled and whirling on the spot to the back right direction and lone behold were a small fleet of pirate ships.
"ALERT THE OTHER SHIPS!" I yelled and the crewmate on the crows nest began to save the flags signaling the patrols directions. At the same time my first mate began barking orders for us to began turning towards the patrol as wee where the closest major vessel to them.
"PREPARE TO HOLD" I bellowed as I waited for the other ships to began scrambling to their targets.
"LOOK OUT IS THE SEA VULTURE AMONG THEM?" I yelled again my voice growing hoarse form the yelling and salty air.
"NO CAPTAIN' OUR TARGET AINT THERE" the lookout stated. That's when a flaming javelin found its buried into the deck right in front of me, my eyes widen and I looked over and through the bodies of the ships turning was another much larger fleet of ships, the main pirate fleet.
"AMBUSH!! WE'VE BEEN COMPROMISED MANEUVER AROUND, AND LOOKOUT LOOK FOR THAT DAMMED PARROT'S SHIP" I yelled and I saw that the ships closest to the main fleet had already pivoted and avoided the hit but the middle ships were fucked with half them already taking on water. Under my First mates order we pulled away for a bit waiting for our mark.
Even with the ambush we managed to pull through and the now the battle had devolved into a series of ship on ship battles, and drive bys. Without cannons the tactics shifted but over all their was a lot of overlap.
After about I made the decision, we could find our mark later right now we needed to do what we do best, sneak attack. Grasping my understanding I flexed it like a muscle stretching my will and paradox across the length of my ship and soon in the haze of battle we disappeared as sailed right towards the main fleet intent on a little ambush of our own. As we did so the Flag ship led by Despotissa began to cleave through enemy ships like butter. Randomly some smaller vessels would disappear, and larger ones would have whole chunks disappear.
Meanwhile I saw a great wave of sand rise up and strangle another ship in half before throwing it into another enemy ship. Very clearly we where winning, was my first thought in my head then I saw one of the main pirate captains attack Infin and the clash of even, which means I would probably be dead if I had faced that particular captain.
"CAPTAIN I SPOT THE SEA VULTURE SHE'S MAKIN A BREAK FOR IT!" the lookout yelled and I cursed as I saw the same vessel I saw back at the captains meeting sailing away. That rat eating bastard wasn't getting away.
