The Heart of Kaihao

"The Heart of Kaihao, is a natural treasure formed from the crystalized heart of a dead Giant, the Liberator found the crystalized heart while he worked as a laborer building the monuments to the Giants, it was this Heart that gave Kaihao the power to slay giants." The Crystal keeper entoned her voice carrying throughout the chamber.

"I know the history but this is my first time looking upon such a holy artifact" the Lord-Protector stated as he watched with wide eyes at the crystal connected by ley lines carved by his ancestor that carried the magic that prevented the Giants grasp on the earth.

"So do I just eat or?" The Lord-Protector asked uncomfortable at the idea of consuming something so precious and unique. The item that had freed the Yeti from their oppressors was going to do it one more time, it would be their bulwark against silver clad calamity.

"No you silly boy, I taught you better then that, come lie down we do not have much time I must prepare your body to consume the influx of magic, and while you will gain a boost to your power the Heart will stop protecting the earth from the Slivered-Ones influence. "

"Got it, do what you must, and then make haste from here you have many more younglings to teach before you spirit is free of this plain" the Lord-Protector smiled at his former teacher of his youth. The Record Keeper smiled solemnly at her former student.

Then she began to apply the war paint that would act as a channel and a limitor to not overpower Warrior.

The Regal Warrior had not returned in one of his many faces, however I held back standing in the center as I watched the Puppet army slowly overwhelm the defenders. I would only interfere if the Yeti had put them in a choke point in order to move it along faster.

It took an indescribt amount of time for my army to overwhelm the four forts on the ground. The next part was going to be tricky, the Yeti had long chains running between the two circles of the forts that allowed them to climb up that would create several choke points. Since I couldn't make a staircase out of rock and their wasn't any large fauna I was going to have to take the expensive way. A staircase ascending up their would take almost all of my Mana and I would only be able to absorb roughly sixty percent of it back. Which left me with very little in case of any hidden cards up their sleeves but I would just have to endeavor.

Slowly I made a series of [Force Fields] that each level would act as a step up. Luckily the Puppets where lighter then they appeared and wouldn't strain the [Force Fields] much. With that out of the way I climbed up one of the chains quickly landing on top of the ceiling fortress ramparts much to the shock of the defenders as I fought to clear an area for my ascending army.

Shocked though they be these were trained professionals and they snapped into formation, sacrificial determination burning in their eyes like a brilliant flame, but what did a mere flame have against an ocean of roving tides? I felt the spark of endless madness that came with a paradox flood my mind before it was funneled away as I entered the battle. Sending Yetis flying with a single blow like mythical figure. Deflecting their beggared strikes against my shield.

Soon the first waves of the puppets entered the pocket of safety I had created as they formed their own shield wall and moved forward. The Commander slammed down his bulwark soon after. Looking over the side of the wall I waited for the last of the Puppets to climb aboard before I reabsorbed the [Force Fields] getting slightly less then I estimated but hopefully enough. The Yellow Barrier fell for a moment before it brighten back up. Ignoring it for now I engaged with one of the commanders to keep me from getting bored. The officer was significantly worse at combat then the Regal Warrior and didn't really use his tail blade to the fullest moreso as a last result to keep me at bay but it ended as I grabbed the officers tail and pulled throwing him over the side of the wall.

Pulling back I studied the semi liquid state of the barrier it was strange it felt somewhat familiar yet it seemed wrong. I would have to study the source of this barrier and depending on portable it was take it.

In the middle of the Four ceiling forts was spire with a pathway between each one and arrayed was a city I had seen it before but it was hard to get proper contrast. Figuring that I could probably take out whatever was at the center of the spire and finally put this chapter of the tutorial behind me.

My puppets knocked down the gates of the closest fort and killed the soldiers their I cleared the way to the pathway. I blasted through the gates with a strong push, entering the city proper. I could make out cowering figures in the hovels and alleyways, I ignored them. They would sadly have to die but I would not do it myself. Morally it didn't matter, it didn't matter if the commanding officer didn't pull the trigger he still gave the order. However it would allow me to push it to the side. Why couldn't this floor just have a bunch of monsters? But no! I had to have a philosophical crisis in every one!

I ranted to ignore the uncomfortable feelings that came from the situation. Eventually I made it to central spire uncontested until I saw the line of less regal but still bedazzled warriors forming a spear wall to stop me.

"Pathetic" I said mostly to myself as I could see them shaking in their boots, I wasn't even that terrifying, I was tiny compared to these guys!

Summoning my sword the long blade beckoned from the ring I had taken from the Ophiocord Mushroom. Speaking of which I had a great way to freak'em out. Blizting forward I maneuvered out of the way of their spear points and cleaved ones shield in two my swords blade ripping life from the Yetis body. It's comrades watched in barely disguised horror as the warrior died.

Activating my fungal necromancy class skill the corpse rose again, it's comrades in life had a look as if they dared to hope. That hope was stolen when they saw dead eyes and mushrooms slowly growing on its face. Pushing my offensive I killed the others and brought up the two strongest as I opened the Grand gate with force, their arrayed before me was an empty throne room, hanging behind the throne was a detailed tapestry detailing a viscious battle between Kaihao and the Giants. Over romanctized but that was part of art, it wasn't supposed to be a photograph, it was supposed to impart something upon the viewer. Or at least that's how I viewed art.

Moving on I passed through empty corridors and rooms left in haste.

The Spire shook deep within its core as I heard roar of challenge as the Yellow Barrier fell, dam if the puppets weren't here I could just drop the whole thing— wait I was an Idiot. Reaching out as far as I could I warped some stone near the Web Weaver with a message to consolidate all of the puppets near the fort so I drop the rest. Figuring he was going to come to me I figured I might as well get him off guard. As I sensed the Puppets where all safe I reached out and tugged the spire and the other forts from their roots the effort was expensive but would kill almost all of the Yeti still in the city.

As we fell down I lifted from the ground for a moment as I prepared myself as the spire came crashing down. Their where screams of terror and then anguish as the testament to the Yeti Civilization came crashing down.

Peaking up the desolation was everywhere.

*BOOM* I pivoted at the last second dodging the spear attack to end up getting tackled. My opponent was the Regal Warrior, his eyes burned with a depth of seething anger down to his very soul. His armor was covered with what appeared to lay lines of warpaint. My opponent attacked again and again his tail blade and his spear worked in tandem. Using my shield I manged to hold off majority of the attacks but my armor was getting increasingly dinged up as the battle progressed.
