[Welcome to The Judge's Trial, I am your Court Clerk, Pur. Allow me to introduce this trial before we get started]
When Leox came to understand what was going on, he found himself standing into he same stone field as he was before. The academy still lingered in the background, the walls of the academy still surrounded them.
However, almost all of the students in the field had disappeared, except for a select few scattered around the place, the sky had turned black, and there was a white cat standing in front of them.
Leox didn't pay attention to the students, he was more focused on the cat.
Why can this animal speak? Where in the Fourth World are we?
The cat walked around the fields, travelling between the legs of the remaining students. As he did, he continued to speak. The words seemed to directly enter his mind.
[The Judge has created a trial to determine which class each of you students will be placed into for your first year of the academy. It is a simple trial named the Death Game. These are the rules:]
So this is some power belonging to The Judge. If he's done the same for every other student in the field, that means that the power of Fifth Stage Awakened is enough to control three hundred First Stage Awakened? How could you even counter this skill? I can't see The Judge anywhere. Would I have to kill this cat, if so then how strong is it?
When he tried to focus on Pur, he was given no Overview.
[Within this realm, you are unable to die. Whatever injuries you face here will not be brought into the real world. Of course, none of you are actually immortals, so think of this more like a dream.]
Leox gulped.
[When I announce the start of the trial, all ten of you will fight to the death. The order in which you die will determine the class you are put into. For example, if you die first, you will end up in the weakest class: Class Ten. Die second, and you will end up in Class Nine, and so on. There are no rules within this battle, so feel free to use everything that you've got.]
As soon as Pur explained the rules, Leox's excitement peaked. He looked around at the other students for the first time. There was an even mixture of boys and girls, and they all seemed afraid.
Why?
It took him a while to figure out the answer. Leox didn't feel any fear because he had already faced death in the real world countless times. The students here were simply thirteen-year-olds who had probably never even seen a demon in their lives. Many of them had the looks of coddled nobles who had grown up with a silver spoon in their mouths.

Leox was the complete opposite. He looked around, not bothering to check their Overviews, but rather looking at their physiques. No students were allowed to bring weapons into the academy, so they were forced to fight with their bodies.
Being tall for his age, Leox had the height advantage over everyone else. However, he was still relatively skinny from his time in torture, so many of the men shorter than him would still outweigh him. There was one bald-headed boy who was incredibly bulky for his age. He would be trouble if he didn't look so scared.
[Now that you understand the rules, let the Judge's Trial Commence!]
The Cat dissapeared, leaving the ten students facing off against each other nervously. At first, no one moved an inch.
"Umm, guys. Maybe we should talk about this?" A posh kid with glasses said as he adjusted his tie. "Realistically, we should figure out a method to decide who deserves to be in which class. Personally, since I am the child of Sir Dick, Member of the Varadna Council, I think that I should be—"
The boy's words were cut off as a fist suddenly crashed into his face, breaking his jaw with a sharp crack that could be heard by everybody, and sending him flying across the ground. His tumbling body crashed into a marble pillar in the distance, unconsciously groaning in pain as he came to a stop. The pillar splintered from the force. Then, a knee drove into his face, causing his skull to cave in slightly by the forehead, and blood to pour from all of his orifices like a fountain.
The other students watched in fear as they noticed a boy with flaming white hair standing over the body of the posh, dead kid. Eventually, his corpse poofed from existence, becoming nothing but a grey cloud that slowly evaporated.
Leox looked down at the mess he had made. Blood had covered his uniform.
"I hope this stain comes out once we return to the real world." He said, before turning to the remaining students.
Their eyes were wide and they stood there in utter disbelief at what they had seen. In their minds, they could not fathom how a student was capable of taking someone's life so easily. Suddenly, one of the girls realised what was going on. She seemed stuck-up, similar to the boy who had just been "killed", and many other academy students.
"Y-you're him... The kid that was tortured and sexually assaulted by Donn of the Hawkings family!"
"Sexually assaulted?" Leox said with a raised brow. "So that's the rumours that everyone is spreading about me."
Using overheat, he closed the distance between himself and the girl faster than she could ever imagine. A fist struck her in her stomach, knocking the wind from her lungs and cracking a few ribs. Before her body could fly away from the force, Leox grabbed hold of her shirt, spun her around, and positioned his arms tightly around her neck.
"I wasn't sexually assaulted. But if I was, then why would you bring that up?"
Crack!
He broke her neck in one swift movement.
Gasps spread throughout the fellow students. None of them seemed to even want to fight. They were too scared of the boy in front of them. Leox turned to face them, his white hair burnt slightly, and his arms were outstretched in confusion.
"Why are you all so scared? None of this is real, it's just an illusion created by The Judge. A test."
No one answered him. Some of them even started to run away, fearing for their lives.
Leox found it strange, and pathetic. He could not understand why the students would waste the opportunity to be placed in one of the strongest classes, where they would likely receive the best education, and the greatest opportunities. For him, coming first was the only option if he hoped to gain the most of the academy.
So with that, Leox heated his legs once again and got to work.
