99 Alliance Members in the Bar, Take One Out, Bounce Him Off the Wall....

“All of them?” Captain Jean asked in disbelief.

“Yes, my team is outside. We’re all very stealthy and should have no problem one shotting level 40’s.” Glitch explained.

“Okay. Do you need anything from us?”

“Are any of the remaining alliance members in town deserving of a trial instead of summary execution?”

Pausing thoughtfully, Captain Jean asked, “What do you consider worthy of summary execution?”

“Definitively guilty of murder, rape, or calling me Glitter.” Glitch responded.

With a chuckle, Captain Jean said, “Sorry about that. Not too good with names in my old age.”

“I understand. I’ve worked with Marines before and I know y'all can be a little slow.” Glitch said with a smile.

Returning the smile and running a hand over his high and tight, Captain Jean asked, “How did you know I was a Marine?”

“There’s a little bit of crayon left on your chin.”

“Army bastard. Should have known.” Captain Jean said, shaking his head. “John, meet with the sergeants. I want two lists of the alliance members in town. One kill on sight and one that gets a trial.”

John saluted before heading out the door. “So I assume, you’ll want one of us to help identify the alliance members?” Captain Jean asked.

“Yes, sir. John if possible. I can resurrect him if he dies. I bound him to my party temporarily before he came back to town. Let’s keep the rest of the guards out of this as much as possible. No point in any of them dying if something goes wrong, since my team can easily handle the alliance.”

“Sounds good and gives us plausible deniability if things go really wrong.”

“Absolute worst case, I come back in 4 days with a couple hundred wolves and a bad attitude.” Glitch shrugged.

“And what is the best case?” Captain Jean asked.

“We finish everybody off without making a sound. I take over the city giving huge buffs and boons to everybody. You help me select a Lord and a council to run this place and handle the trials of the alliance members. I go out tomorrow and kill the rest of the alliance and then we start doing what has to be done to save humanity.” Glitch said as he watched the captains reaction.

“Things going to get worse?” the captain questioned.

“Much worse if we can’t get humans on the right track.”

The two men sat in thought until John came back with the list. There were only ten people on the “good” list. So Glitch had about thirty targets for the night. Apparently most of the alliance members were in the tavern with about twenty thought to be in the houses they had taken over.

“Do you happen to have any thieves with lockpicking skills in town?’ Glitch asked.

“Steve is in lockup, but they beat him up pretty bad. He was caught breaking into an alliance house.” Captain Jean said.

“Okay, bring me this Steve and we’ll need a bunch of lockpicks and whatever else you think he might need. I can heal him.” With a nod from Captain Jean, John started to leave.

“John, let Bandit in the door before you leave.” Glitch said. “Bandit. Get to the door and enter it when John opens it. Stay in stealth until you are about halfway down the hall, then come out of stealth and enter the office.”

  “On my way.”

Glitch nodded at John, who exited the office and held the door open until Bandit appeared. “God damn that’s a big wolf.” Captain Jean exclaimed.

“He’s actually one of the younger ones, but he’s a sneaky little bastard.” Glitch said. “Come on in Bandit. Drop the leather armor and daggers in the corner, then get comfortable. We’ve got a new member of the team coming.”

“Do you think I can trust Steve to follow orders?” Glitch asked Captain Jean.

“He’s apparently a thief even though his name tag says laborer, so who knows. However, his sister was one of the first to go missing after the alliance showed up, so he might be motivated.” Captain Jean got up and walked down the hall and into a room before returning with what looked like a small pack of tools and a few lock picks. “This is what we took off him and a few lock picks we’ve acquired.”

A few minutes later, John and another guard came in half carrying a limping Steve. Glitch immediately began casting heal, cleanse, and purify before saying, “Steve, it’s your lucky night. You’re getting out of jail and we’re going to dismantle the alliance.” Steve looked up with fire in his eyes and nodded. Glitch continued, “You do everything I ask of you and tomorrow we’ll discuss your future.” Glitch cast another heal and handed some stamina jerky and health jerky to Steve. “We won’t need you til we go for the houses. Rest up here and we’ll be back for you. Pick out some armor and daggers out of the pile in the corner.” Glitch cast another heal. “Bandit, John, let’s go. John take us towards the tavern.” Glitch then disappeared into stealth. “Sassy, Tonya, Boris. We’re heading towards a tavern where some of the alliance members are at.”

Seeing the tavern ahead, Glitch ordered, “John go in and sit at the bar. Tell me how many are in there and if any are on the trial list. As they leave, give us a heads up of how many and if any are on the trial list.” John continued into the tavern and Glitch went into a wide space between two buildings. “Tonya, Bandit, and Sassy with me. Boris stay on the road. John will let us know when alliance members are coming out and Boris will swat them over to us. The tough part is if there are some that we don’t want to kill yet. If I tell you “no kill” Boris, just try your best to knock them out without killing them. Remember they will be a lot weaker than me Boris.”

The story has been illicitly taken; should you find it on Amazon, report the infringement.

“Boris, not so good at not killing.” Boris sent.

  “Just do your best.”

“Eight of them in here. None on the good list.” John reported. “One coming out now.”

“Good news Boris. You get to kill them all. Bandit, make sure the body is behind concealment then Sassy and Tonya loot. First customer on his way now.”

A short, skinny guy in mage's robes came stumbling down the road before suddenly flying between two buildings and smashing hard against the top of the town wall twenty feet behind the buildings. Bandit quickly drug him closer to the back of the building and his gear disappeared. “Perfect aim Boris. Just not so hard next time. We don’t want to knock the wall down.”

“Two more coming.” Two perfect shots this time landing just short of the wall before quickly being drug out of sight. Glitch spun as he heard something behind him to see a barrel wobbling away from the building and stopping halfway out to the wall. “What are you doing Bandit?” Glitch asked.

“I’m betting 10 credits that Boris can’t hit the barrel.” Bandit replied.

  “You’re on pup.” Boris growled.

  “Three coming.” John reported.

Glitch quickly crossed the road behind where he thought Boris was. “3 coming. Work left to right Boris. I’ll take the one on the right.” Thump, Whack, Thump, Thump. Two drunken alliance members went flying off the road and the third’s head caved in and a tall muscular man appeared and disappeared before the third body went flying. On his way back between the two buildings, Glitch saw two guards duck their heads back around a corner a block away.

“You owe me 20 credits, pup.”

  “The bet was for 10.”

  “I hit it twice.”

  “Last 2 coming.”

“Last 2 Boris.” Thump, Thump. “Let’s go get Steve, John” Glitch sent.

As they entered the building, Glitch overheard, “They just went flying except the time there were three. The big guy smashed one’s head in before it went flying and he disappeared again.”

Glitch came out of stealth and firmly grabbed the two guards shoulders, “Polar Bear. Big giant bastard. Can attack without coming out of stealth. Don’t mention it to anybody. OpSec. I’ve placed a hex on you both and if you tell anybody your penis’s will fall off. Come on Steve, we’ve got work to do.” Glitch said as he added the remaining armor and daggers to his inventory before heading out the door while Captain Jean laughed his ass off.

Once outside, Glitch called over John and they headed towards the houses being used by the alliance. They were lucky again. The ten on the good list all stayed in three houses with no one else. Glitch added Steve to his party and explained why he was binding him.

“Here’s how this is going down. We’ll save the good houses for last. John will identify the house. Steve will lead us to the door and check if it’s locked. If it’s locked, pick it and step to the side and I’ll enter followed by Sassy, Tonya, and Bandit. Boris, you stay outside and secure the door. If the door is unlocked, just step to the side. Once inside we handle all shut doors the same. Sassy move forward to provide early warning. No one besides Sassy moves past a door until I clear the room. Tonya, keep eyes on any door to the left and front until I get there. Bandit, you secure any uncleared entrances to the right or rear. Any questions?” Glitch asked while stuffing a big wad of mana jerky into his mouth.

“Let me guess. That stuff makes you a sexual tyrannosaurus rex?” Steve asked with a chuckle.

“Fellow man of culture.” Glitch fist bumped Steve. Arriving across from the first house, John stopped and pointed it out. “Stealth up and let’s go. No sound. Use party chat if you have to tell me anything Steve.” Glitch said to Steve whose eyebrows rose when Glitch disappeared in front of him.

The first house was unlocked and Steve stepped to the side. Glitch moved to the first room on the right and the companions secured the hallway and open room to the left. Steve moved up and picked the lock on the door and stepped back while Glitch charged an iron bolt. Glitch entered and took two steps before with a soft “thwap” sending an iron bolt through the head of the sleeping person in the bed and then stepped out and pointed Steve to the next door while pushing mana into Inevitable to accelerate its recharge.

Room by room. House by house. It was all over in less than an hour and a half. Before entering the last house, they sent John to fetch Captain Jean and as many guards as he could bring. They arrived shortly after the last kill house was clear. The captain quickly had his men surround the remaining houses. Boris, Captain Jean, and Glitch each knocked a door in and Glitch yelled, “Alliance of Anarchy. You no longer control this town. Come outside and surrender to the guards or die. You’ve got thirty seconds.” Glitch turned to his companions and said, “Boris, Bandit. Scare the shit out of them.” Boris roared and Bandit howled and the alliance members started stumbling out of the houses to the waiting guards.

“Steve, loot the houses of anything of value and take it to the captain. Stay at his office until I get back.”

“You sure you should trust him?” John asked.

“Nope, that’s why Tonya will keep an eye on him.” Glitch said.

“Who’s Tonya, you mentioned her earlier?” Steve asked.

“A level 50+ tiger. She’s been with us all night.” John explained, causing Steve to look around quickly.

Glitch moved over to Captain Jean and said, “Captain, I’ve got some wolves keeping an eye on your men outside town with the alliance captives. If you let them in town, they can help you keep an eye on the prisoners.”

“Sure. Not like I’d know whether or not they were there if I said no.” Captain Jean replied.

“Bandit tell the wolves to come out of stealth and follow the guards when they head back to town.”

  “On it boss.”

“Captain Jean, I’m going to go get the rest of my team. I’ll take John to the gate and have him wait for my return there then I’m getting some shut eye. Get your council and have them begin the trials for the alliance. I’ll execute anybody they decide to execute, hold the ones they want to banish, and release the ones they decide to let stay in the city. I’ll talk to the council before I leave to find the rest of the council. Find out where Grayson went.” Glitch said as he walked to the gate. “Tonya, Boris, Bandit, Sasha, we’re heading out.”

“Don’t you want me to watch the thief?” Tonya asked.

“Nope. Just stay in stealth and he’ll never know if you’re there or not.” Sassy explained.

Glitch nodded and pulled up his courtesan menu selecting Kaitlyn and Ashley. “We’re on our way back. When you see the wolves move out, come with them and we’ll meet you on the way. We’re going to catch some sleep then go after the last of the alliance that is out of town.” “Leo, we’re headed your way. Stay with the girls and follow the wolves. We’re going to get some sleep in town before we head out again.”

  “Okay, Glitch.” Leo replied.

“Bandit, ask the wolves to have a couple come out of stealth and have them all lead the ladies back to meet us.”

  “Ok.”

Stopping about one hundred meters outside of the gate, Glitch quickly planted another acorn before heading out to meet the girls. Once done, he soon met the wolves followed by Leo and the girls who were wearing tired smiles. “You did it.” Ashley said.

“Mostly Boris did, I just caught the bodies.” Glitch stated. “You may now consider yourselves no longer my prisoners. I encourage you to think about staying with me until you are stronger, so you won’t be so easily caught by the next horny old lord that finds you, but I’m too tired to think right now. Let me know after I get some sleep.” And Glitch turned and headed back to town with everyone else following.

As they approached the town, the gate opened and John came out. “Captain Jean has a place for you to stay with a covered area large enough for Boris outside.”

“Sounds great. Lead the way, good sir.” Glitch sleepily replied.

“Half the wolves are going to go help keep an eye on the prisoners.” Bandit reported.

“Good plan. Thank you.” As they walked, Glitch cast cleanse on himself and his companions. As soon as they reached the house, Glitched pulled hides out of his inventory and hastily fashioned a bed and pulled off his armor and laid down. Seeing the twins stopping to stare, he gave them a wink and went to sleep thinking, “I knew that would get their attention. Shoes on the other foot. Muhahahaha.”
