Chapter-23-The Crimson Dawn

After calculating every conceivable chain reaction of events that might unfold on the battlefield, the war notice was dispatched to the Blackrock Vale (黑石谷 - Hēi Shí Gǔ) district the very next day.

In the magistrate’s office of Blackrock Vale, "[Hahahaha] Who does this fool think he is? Challenging me to war? Ordering me to the field in two days? [Hahahaha] How amusing! Let's see what he's got. Scribe Huī Yǐng, seize the food supplies from those lowlifes. We need to prepare our hounds to hunt this rabbit who thinks he's the king of the jungle!"

The magistrate, Tiě Tú, laughed with arrogant, unshakable confidence in his strength, his laughter echoing through the hall. Scribe Huī Yǐng went to prepare for the upcoming war. While on his way to meet the people enslaved in the mines and forges—who received a pittance of food that could barely fill a dog—he thought, "That was a swift decision, but how long will it take? Will the people endure days without food?"

He met with the captain of the army, Gǒng Tiě (巩铁), and said, "Prepare for war at dawn. We do not yet know how long it will last, but we must fight. It is a direct order from the magistrate."

The captain of the army replied, "Who possesses the courage to fight our magistrate? And where is our General Tiě Shān? He went to the Liánhuā District and never returned. Is the magistrate certain about moving without him?"

Scribe Huī Yǐng replied, "Yes, he is certain. And it does not matter if General Tiě Shān is not here. I will explain everything about him once the war is over." The captain nodded and went to deliver the news to the other soldiers.

In the slave camp, Scribe Huī Yǐng, who always arrived with food for the starving people, walked with a face etched with a sadness mingled with a fragile hope.

A little boy, Xiǎo Shí (小石), asked him, "Grandpa, where is the food you brought? Is it on the way? Is someone else bringing it?"

He replied, "Ask everyone to gather. I will explain. "The little boy ran off as fast as he could to rally everyone.

Once they had gathered, a palpable curiosity hung in the air about the announcement. Scribe Huī Yǐng began,"Everyone, I apologize for not bringing food today." Hearing this, the blooming excitement on the little boy's face began to fade. Huī Yǐng continued, "A new kingdom has declared war on us."

Hearing the news of war, the people erupted with questions. "A new kingdom? Aren't we already under The Azure Mandate Empire (青天命王朝 - Qīng Tiānmìng Wángcháo)? Where did this new kingdom come from? Why must they wage war now, taking the food away from us?"

Scribe Huī Yǐng replied calmly, "The Liánhuā District was freed from its corruption, and a New King was crowned there under a new reign. Trust me, our misery can be erased, just as theirs was, by the very man who saved them."

The people buzzed among themselves, and one called out, "How long must we go without food? Will we be freed from this slavery? Will we ever eat until our bellies are full?"

Scribe Huī Yǐng replied, "I do not know how long the war will last, but I am sure of your liberation. I only ask for your patience. Just hold on tight one last time. "His words became rays of hope for the people who had suffered so long in slavery.

The next day began. The people of Blackrock Vale watched the crimson dawn, a dawn that might finally bring their liberation from misery.

In The Divine Land of Justice, Jian Zhi addressed his army. "Soldiers! It is your time to prove who you are and what you are capable of in this war! Let's go and give it our all! Remember, execute the plan exactly as it is. There is no time for nervousness or panic. If you feel even the slightest fear, stay back. Are you ready?"

The voice of The Crimson General, the King of the Divine Land of Justice, boosted their courage and set their souls on fire to fight for him.

"YES, GENERAL!!!" they roared back. The army began its march from the kingdom, and the people saw them off, their smiles mixed with a little worry, wishing them good luck and a safe return. Lin Wei said to Jian Zhi, "Brother, come back safely. If you get any wound, I will charge you a big amount for the treatment."

Jian Zhi couldn't control his warm laughter at the pure concern from the little soul. "Okay, Dr. Lin Wei, I won't get a single wound. [warm smile] Go and study well with the others."After ensuring she had left, Jian Zhi mounted Yǐnhún Zhě. "Let's go. Unleash your speed."

The army followed its general to the battlefield. The Revengers, led by Lian, moved to their position. Two men placed the Divine Rain, angling it perfectly for maximum damage under the Crimson General's guidance. Mei Lin climbed a tree, watching the enemy's approach path through the Hawk's Eye. Captain Zhào and his men, alongside the demonic wolves, prepared to round up the enemy, waiting concealed in the forest.

A heavy silence fell over the area once everyone was in position. All present watched the path, waiting for the enemy to arrive. The faint sound of hoofbeats began to break the battlefield's silence as the soldiers of Blackrock Vale launched themselves forward, screaming the victory chants of their district. Mei Lin signaled the enemy's advance to the Crimson General, and everyone instantly knew their part in the king's plan. Captain Zhào and his men began to surround the path, locking the enemy into the battlefield from behind. The Crimson General raised his hand. "Ready... Set... Fire...."

A rain of arrows from the Revengers' special bows and powerful strings whistled through the air, showering down. The soldiers who had marched forward at full speed were now drenched in their own blood. Just as they thought the attack was over, the Divine Rain began its shower. Each trigger pull, each shot, sounded like a clap of thunder. The soldiers who tried to run were stopped and arrested by Captain Zhào and his men. Their horses became prey for the demonic wolves. The battle that Tiě Tú had hoped to win by sheer strength ended almost as soon as it had begun. Tiě Tú stood upright on his horse, surrounded by his dead and captured men, his face a mask of pure shame. He began to speak, "So you are the King of this new kingdom they spoke of? You came from the direction of Liánhuā District... that means the magistrate Lǐ Wěi was defeated. And that means my brother was killed. If you possess that much strength, face me without any weapons! Fist to fist!"

Tiě Tú yelled his challenge, brimming with confidence in his strength. Jian Zhi didn't even flinch, maintaining his cold glance. "Okay. Let's do that." Jian Zhi accepted the challenge and walked straight toward Tiě Tú. Both men stared into each other's eyes. Tiě Tú's massive body dwarfed the Crimson General in the eyes of the spectators, but Jian Zhi's intimidating devil's aura was already conquering Tiě Tú's mind. Tiě Tú tried to throw a punch with all the power he could muster. But he didn't know he was fighting a devil, not a man.

The Crimson General used a Ghost Step to evade the fist, simultaneously striking and breaking Tiě Tú's shoulder. Tiě Tú grunted in a mix of anger and pain. Another Ghost Step, and a clean punch straight to his face rendered him unconscious. His hands were tied to his horse, and he was dragged back to Blackrock Vale for the Crimson General's final judgment.

In Blackrock Vale, Scribe Huī Yǐng was waiting for the Crimson General's arrival. A soldier guarding the palace ran to him. "Mr. Huī Yǐng! The enemy has captured our soldiers and our lord! What should we do now?" He replied, "Calm down. Show me where they are." The soldier brought Scribe Huī Yǐng to the district's center.

The Crimson General and his army were present, their magistrate and soldiers in a pitiful state, tied up. Scribe Huī Yǐng arrived at the scene and bowed to the Crimson General. "I did not expect you to finish the war in such a short amount of time. Finally, I get to meet the Crimson General who liberated the people of Liánhuā District." Scribe Huī Yǐng's face was filled with joy and relief, seeing that the reign of enslavement over the weak had ended. Jian Zhi said, "So you are Huī Yǐng. I am Jian Zhi, your new ruler. These captives—the old magistrate, the corrupted soldiers, and the nobles who supported the enslavement in this district—will be chained and forced to work in the mines. Release those who were wrongly enslaved." " Mei Lin, go back and bring the medical branch and food from our place, along with more soldiers. The rest of you, go and rest in the palace."

Release the slaves and enslave those who enslaved them. Those were the first orders of the new king who had captured the Blackrock Vale district. The faces of the released slaves began to bloom with happiness and the freedom of their new lives ahead.

The Crimson Dawn had truly occurred in their lives.
