Goji is now experiencing a completely new thing... being given the cold shoulder by Joy . Starting from moments after she changed her clothes , Joy has been ignoring her since then, and even now, inside the elevator, she is on the other side of the space... Goji has never experienced this in all her short humanoid life, so she is just following in silence... More moments pass like this, and the ambiance in the elevator is awkward at the least... Then the door opens, and Joy walks faster than necessary as Goji follows her until they get into a private meeting room. Inside , Joy stops near the back , and Goji stands beside her . In this room are at least 20 hunters that Goji identifies based on their consistent uniforms . At the back end, like a professor in a cssroom, a table is set with three seemingly important persons . Goji can only identify Commander Reese in the center . After a moment, one of the assistants beside the three men at the table makes silence, and Commander Reese starts speaking.
-At ease . This is an informative meeting about the direction of the hunter branch of the military and the direction our operations will take. All of you are leaders of squadrons or important persons within this organization. As discussed in a meeting of the UN ( United Nations ), the direction of the armies of the world is to defend our territories and stabilize the front lines throughout the world. This means that we will not conduct any offensives to recim lost territory and will start evacuation efforts in any city that we can. This means that many cities and towns under siege will have to be abandoned, as simply we don't have enough manpower to defend or evacuate all of them... It is a tough decision to make, but it is something necessary to maintain what territory we still have . The next step after stabilizing the defensive lines of our nation will be to send aid to important countries across the globe to secure the continuous stream of supplies and manpower. This will affect your missions in carrying out more extraction of key assets, civilians, or hunting any monsters that have crossed the perimeter. Any new mission will be informed in this HQ, and if an emergency arises, you will receive the details through your phones . Be ready to be deployed at any moment... We will have to make tough choices for this nation and for humanity, but all of this is for our continuous existence . Let God and the future generations judge us as they deem necessary. That is all ; you can excuse yourselves.
The silence among all the hunters was complete ; not a word could escape the mouths of these people, including Joy... After some moments, Goji, who wasn't much affected, has to give her a little shake so she starts moving. Like robots following their original code , the rest of the people file out after Joy and Goji exit the room . The walk towards the elevator and the following moments inside it were completely silent , not the awkward silence formed because of Joy's cold shoulder, but a silence stemming from the complete pale expression on Joy's face and the inability of Goji to talk through it... After they get to Goji's apartment, Joy sits in silence on the couch beside Kin and Cha, and for a moment, Goji doesn't know what to do . Reading dictionaries and historical books didn't prepare her for this, so she decides to sit in silence on the couch beside Joy until she feels better. Minutes pass in silence, with the only movement being Joy's hand caressing Kin 's head... Then she speaks...
-Miss Goji? Do you know why we reacted like that? *Joy asks without directing her gaze at Goji.*
-I'm not too clear on the details. After all, I have only recently arrived here, you know?
-Indeed, you have only just gotten here... Want me to expin?

It doesn't matter if the strategy cannot save everyone ; you are mortal like everyone . You cannot save everyone, but for those who are within your reach, you have to do your best to save them. Don't surrender to hopelessness , Miss Joy ; you are needed to save this world... * With the intrepid smile on her face and her back to the sun, a warm aura surrounds Goji. *
