Encounter with the Unknown

The sun was already climbing high by the time Class 1-A stepped off the bus, their bags slung over shoulders, chatter buzzing in loose clumps.Uraraka followed close to the front, her eyes wide as the massive dome came into view, U.S.J., the Unforeseen Simulation Joint. It looked more like a sealed-off amusement park than a rescue training ground.

The structure loomed with sleek metal archways and shimmering reinforced glass panes that reflected the sky like water.

“Whoa,” she breathed. “Is this all for rescue training?”

“Of course,” Iida said, arms chopping through the air with textbook enthusiasm. “Simulations must be as realistic as possible if we’re to prepare for real-world hero work!”

Midoriya jogged ahead to help with gear, full of that early morning energy. Kaminari hung back near Aizawa, bouncing slightly on his heels like he always did when he was trying not to freak out.

Just behind them, Robinn walked silently, hands clasped neatly behind her back, expression unreadable. She hadn’t said a word since they left the bus.

Uraraka noticed, but didn’t press. As far as she’d seen, Robinn had this way of going... still. Not in a mean or cold way, just politely quiet, like she was folding herself in. It wasn’t unusual, especially before training. It was like she flipped a switch and everything went calm.

They entered the U.S.J. and the doors sealed behind them with a soft hydraulic hiss. Uraraka’s jaw dropped.

Faux terrain stretched in every direction, twisted steel ruins, cracked pavement, a collapsed bridge, even a ship stranded in what looked like a flood zone. There were mountains and fire, broken buildings and rescue props scattered around a central plaza.

“Oh my gosh... Thirteen!” Uraraka’s voice lifted in surprise, pointing before she could help herself. “They’re one of my favorite heroes!”

Thirteen turned with a small wave. “Thank you. I’m honored.”

Their voice was calm, almost gentle, but hollow and robotic through the space suit’s speaker.“Welcome to the Unforeseen Simulation Joint. Today, we’ll be practicing disaster response, search and rescue, primarily. You’ll be split into teams and assigned to different zones across the facility.”

  The class murmured excitedly.

“But before we begin,” Thirteen continued, lifting one gloved hand and extending the fingertips to demonstrate, “I want to remind you all that quirks while powerful, are dangerous. When used carelessly, or without training, they can kill.”

A brief silence followed. A quiet shift in mood. Some furrowed brows. A few glances shared. The reminder hung heavy in the air.

Uraraka caught a glimpse of Robinn glancing down at her own hand, just for a moment. Not in fear. More like... calculation.

Then the lights above flickered... and died.

It wasn’t much at first. Just a shimmer in the air at the center of the plaza. A ripple, like heat haze. Then it twisted. It widened. It cracked open... a swirling black mass that churned like smoke and ink.

A figure stepped through. Then another. And another. Dozens.

One was massive and hunched, its skin glossy like tar, eyes blank. Others looked like thugs, grinning, twitching, ununiformed. And at the center stood two figures: a glowing-eyed fog blending in to the mist, and a scrawny pale man with cracked hands placed all over his body, his long coat trailing like torn paper.

  “Aizawa-sensei?” Uraraka whispered, stomach flipping.

A voice slithered out from the mist, thick and composed “Forgive our intrusion... but we are here to end the Symbol of Peace.”

Aizawa raised his voice, loud and controlled “Everyone stand back. Do not engage.” Then he moved.

Goggles already on, he launched forward, eyes glowing red, capture gear in hand. His strikes landed fast, sharp, surgical. He hit the front line of villains like a storm.

Robinn took a single step forward.

Then the black mist appeared and surged around the class, it was fast, almost as if it were alive.

Uraraka saw it curl around Robinn’s legs like smoke over dry ice.

She didn’t flinch. Didn’t even blink. Then she was gone. Just... gone. Midoriya, Tsuyu, Mineta. Others too. Warped out in an instant.

“Everyone move!” Iida shouted, grabbing Mina and pulling her back from the spreading fog.

Thirteen sprang into motion, fingers splaying, the vortex inside her gloves roaring to life, aiming to pull the fog into her Quirk.

For a moment, it looked like it was working. Then the mist shimmered, slipping loose. And a second rift opened behind her. The fog curled tighter.

  Then the second wave hit.

Uraraka stumbled back, breath caught, eyes wide. Students were being scattered, warped, split, some trying to fight, some running. It was happening too fast.

“We’re under attack!” she cried, scanning for Iida, for anyone. And then she saw it...

Thirteen, struck by her own vortex, collapsing forward as the suction tore at her back.

The mist covered half the class now. The students were scattered.

  And the storm had begun.

full arc. Expect a lot of parallels to canon, this is still the same story you know, just with Robinn fully integrated. Her being there doesn’t mean everything changes right away. Just a small warning for those expecting major divergences immediately.
