Jimin continued with his experiments.
The faint glow of the system window reflected in his eyes as he lay half-reclined on the bed.
He opened his skill creation window again and filled up the name and description for another skill.
—-------------------------------------------------
Name: Immortality
Description: Prevents the user from dying. All wounds heal instantly. The user's lifespan is infinite.
—---------------------------------------------------
Would you like to create this skill?
[Yes]????[No]
—----------------------------------------------------
He pressed [Yes].
The buffering circle appeared, rotating slowly. Jimin didn’t even lean forward this time. He already knew what was coming.
A moment later, the window flashed red.
It was an error again.
He let out a quiet breath through his nose and smiled faintly.
“Thought so.”
The system rejected it without even bothering to explain.
Jimin reached up and rubbed the back of his neck. “Alright… let’s edit it down.”
—-------------------------------------------------
Name: Immortality
Description: If the user's HP reaches zero, the body is immediately restored to its original form, and 10% HP is regained. The skill passively grants faster healing regeneration and a prolonged lifespan. Consumes high stamina upon activation of the revival effect with cooldown.
—---------------------------------------------------
Would you like to create this skill?
[Yes]????[No]
—----------------------------------------------------
He paused.
“Let’s see,” he muttered.
He confirmed it.
The buffering circle appeared again, spinning longer than usual. Jimin sat up unconsciously.
Then-
A new window with the full skill details appeared.

—------------------------------------------------------------------
Jimin froze.
“…What?”
His eyes scanned the window once. Then again. Then a third time, slower.
Legendary… Level: 1 / 1… Seventy percent stamina…
And that required LP-
“Thirty thousand!" he whispered.
His heart thumped once, hard.
“That’s… insane.”
This wasn’t just expensive. This was the most extreme skill window he had ever created.
A Legendary rank skill capped at level one. A finished concept.
“That’s new…” he murmured.
He leaned back slightly, resting his palms on the mattress.
Just as I expected. My first description violated the law of life and death itself. Of course it failed.
“But this…” he muttered, eyes narrowing, “…this one was possible to create.”
His fingers curled slowly.
So my theory was right.
He exhaled, a slow breath leaving his chest.
“…Wait.”
If you stumble upon this narrative on Amazon, be aware that it has been stolen from Royal Road. Please report it.
His brows furrowed.
“Then what was the problem with time skills?”
He stared at the ceiling, mind racing.
“I’m sure those would also be Legendary,” he muttered. “Maybe even higher…”
His jaw tightened slightly.
“So why?”
He closed his eyes briefly.
“…Is it because time is more profound and complex than all of them?”
He took a deep breath and let it out slowly.
“Alright,” he said quietly. “I get it.”
His eyes opened, sharper now.
“Now that I know the limits… let’s push a bit more.”
He drafted the Immortality window and reopened the skill creation interface.
But before typing anything, he paused.
Another idea clicked into place.
His lips curved slightly. “LP….”
What if…
He filled up the name and description for a skill.
—-------------------------------------------------
Name: LP Breathing
Description: Gains 0.1 LP with every breath.
—---------------------------------------------------
Would you like to create this skill?
[Yes]????[No]
—----------------------------------------------------
He confirmed it without hesitation and waited.
But it was an error again.
He tried editing it again and again till [0.000001].
Only then it showed a result.
—------------------------------------------------------------------

Jimin blinked.
“It worked...”
He stared at the numbers, then quickly started doing the math.
His lips twitched.
“Fifty years...” He scoffed softly.
“It would take me fifty years just to break even.”
Without hesitation, he hit [Delete].
The window vanished.
“Figures,” he muttered.
He rolled his shoulders once and continued. “Next.”
—-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

“Damn...”
Jimin whistled softly under his breath.
Definitely not usable for me at the moment. My MP can’t handle that. It would evaporate in seconds. Better save it for the future.
Without hesitation, he pressed [Draft].
He leaned back again, staring at the ceiling.
The glow from the interface dimmed slightly.
Then something else crossed his mind.
My MP…
He opened the skill window again.
My MP is being drained faster lately. Why not create a similar skill for MP too. And while I’m at it, let’s create one for both HP and stamina as well.
A window with full details appeared.
—---------------------------------------------------------------

Jimin didn’t even think twice.
He hit [Create].

‘Mana Reservoir’ – Acquired.

A faint sensation spread through his chest, subtle but noticeable; like a new container forming somewhere inside him.
“…Cool,” he murmured..
“Now stamina.”
—--------------------------------------------------------------------------

—-----------------------------------------------------------------------
“Oh… costs thirty more,” he muttered. “Doesn’t matter.”
He pressed [Create].
—-------------------------------------------------
[Skill Successfully Created]
‘Energy Bank’ – Acquired.
Total LP: 202
—-------------------------------------------------
A deeper, heavier sensation followed.
Jimin exhaled slowly.
“Alright…”
He stared at the remaining LP count, then at the skill creation window still open in front of him.
A slow grin formed.
“Now HP.”
Note: Sorry, if this part feels a bit stretched... Cuz there's more. I was planning a very small timeskip ahead. Otherwise, it would be difficult to progress the story. It is really challenging, with this kind of theme; unless speed-running through it. Which I don't plan to do. So, the solution I came up with is drafting a bunch of skills prior to the timeskip. Creating the generic and simple ones off-screen and creating the interesting & complex ones on-screen.
Read Chapters (37 - 39) early on my patreon.
I also share trivias, history, tidbits about the world on my patreon. I am trying to shape this world there. Feel free to check it out.
Soon, I will also start sharing skill (ideas, drafts, details; discarded ones), mini chapters, behind the scenes there as well. You can choose to support me by becoming a member and thus becoming a contributor to this world's growth.
Thank you everyone.
Since I have bombed my exams, I should give some form of bomb/explosion type skill in future. What is your opinion?
