Marineford - The Execution Platform
Fleet Admiral Sengoku stood on the execution platform, his hands gripping the stone railing as he surveyed the assembled forces below. One hundred thousand Marines in perfect formation. Vice Admirals commanding their divisions. The Shichibukai at their designated positions. Three Admirals seated at the front. And at the perimeter, the nine God Knights standing like silent sentinels.Everything was in position. Everything was ready.
"Bring out the prisoner," Sengoku ordered.
The heavy gates behind the platform opened. Guards emerged, escorting a figure in chains. Garp stared for a moment before looking away, closing his eyes in pain.
Ace walked slowly up the steps, his wrists and ankles bound in seastone shackles that suppressed his Devil Fruit powers completely. His head was bowed, his expression hollow, like a man who'd already accepted his fate.
Two executioners took their positions on either side of him, their long blades gleaming in the morning sun. Ace knelt between them, chains rattling as he settled into position. He thought inwardly, "Please don't come to save me guys, I don't want you all to die saving me."
The plaza fell silent. One hundred thousand Marines waited. Across the world, millions watched through broadcast Den Den Mushi, waiting to witness history.
Sengoku stepped forward, his voice amplified across the entire battlefield. "Before this execution proceeds, the world must know the truth. The truth about this man's heritage. The truth the World Government has hidden for twenty years."
Murmurs rippled through the assembled forces. Marines exchanged confused glances. The Vice Admirals looked grim, already knowing what was coming.
"This man's mother," Sengoku continued, each word deliberate and heavy, "was Portgas D. Rouge. A woman who defied nature itself to protect her child. She gave her life the day he was born, having exhausted everything to keep him safe."
The murmurs grew louder. Ace's head lifted slightly, old pain flashing across his face.
"And his father..." Sengoku paused, letting the tension build. "His father was Gol D. Roger. The Pirate King!"
The silence that followed was absolute. Even the wind seemed to stop.
Then chaos erupted. Marines shouted in shock. Around the world, viewers reacted with disbelief, horror, fascination. The son of the Pirate King had been living among them, hiding in plain sight.
"Portgas D. Ace is the son of the Pirate King!" Sengoku's voice cut through the noise. "His very existence is a sin against the world! His bloodline alone threatens the peace we've built! That is why this execution is necessary! That is why justice demands his death here today!"
"He's wrongg," Ace said quietly, his voice barely carrying but captured by Den Den Mushi anyway. "My blood is cursed. I never asked to be born with this name, with this legacy. I never wanted any of it."
His voice cracked slightly. "But the only father I ever knew, the only man who ever accepted me for who I am, was Whitebeard ! He's the one who made my life worth living. He's the only father I have!"
"Ace..." Garp whispered from his position on the platform, his voice thick with grief.
Sengoku built up on the momentum. "Now, as scheduled, this execution shall commence!"
Before anyone could respond, the bay began to change.
The water started churning violently. Not waves, not natural currents, but something deliberate, something controlled. Massive bubbles rose from the depths, breaking the surface with explosive force.
"Something's rising!" A Marine lookout screamed, pointing at the bay with a shaking hand. "From underwater! Multiple contacts!"
Sengoku gritted his teeth. "They have come! They coated their ships to bypass our carefully placed defenses! This is not good."
Aokiji widened his eyes slightly. "Arara, So the strongest man in the world has shown up?"
Akainu clenched his fist, "Whitebeard!"
Kizaru looked bored as usual. "How scary!"
The Moby Dick burst through the surface first, water cascading off its massive hull as the coating bubble dispersed. The ship rose like a breaching whale, water streaming from its decks as it settled on the surface. Then another ship appeared. And another. And another.
43 ships total, the entire Whitebeard fleet, surfacing inside the bay itself. They'd bypassed every defense, every trap, every strategic position the Marines had prepared by simply sailing beneath the ocean floor using coating and emerging exactly where they needed to be.
"They coated their ships," Tsuru said quietly, her strategic mind immediately understanding. "They dove deep and came up inside our defensive perimeter. We never saw them coming."
On the Moby Dick's deck stood the division commanders. Marco the Phoenix, his blue flames already flickering. Jozu the Diamond, his body partially transformed. Vista of the Flower Swords, his twin blades drawn. All sixteen division commanders, the most powerful officers in Whitebeard's fleet, ready for war.
The whole plaza fell silent. So they could hear the heavy footsteps even from far.
Thump! Thump! Thump!
Slowly, step by step, gripping his bisento Murakumogiri, emerged Edward Newgate himself.
Whitebeard was massive, easily over twenty feet tall, his white coat billowing behind him. Medical equipment was still attached to his chest—tubes, monitors, IV drips keeping his failing body functional. He casually tore them off before he took the stage. He couldn't show weakness.
But despite his old age, his presence was overwhelming. The air itself felt heavier just from him being there.
Every Marine in the plaza stiffened. Some of the younger ones actually stepped back unconsciously. Even the Vice Admirals tensed, their hands moving to their weapons.
The Admirals' expressions shifted. Akainu's scowl deepened. Kizaru's lazy demeanor sharpened slightly. Aokiji sat up straighter, his usual sleepiness replaced with alertness.
Whitebeard's laugh boomed across the water, deep and infectious and utterly fearless. "Gurararara! Sengoku! Been a long time since we had a proper chat, hasn't it? My beloved son better be safe up there, or I'm going to be very disappointed! Gurararara."
His eyes found Ace on the execution platform, and his expression softened. "Wait just a little longer, Ace. Your old man's come to take you home, where you belong."
"Pops!" Ace's voice broke completely, tears streaming down his face. "No! Don't do this! Please! I'm not worth it! I'm not worth any of this! Just leave me here and save yourselves! Please!"
"Shut up, you idiot!" Marco's voice carried across the water, filled with affection despite the harshness. "You think we'd abandon our brother? You think Pops would ever leave one of his sons to die alone? What kind of father would that make him?"
"We're taking you home, Ace!" Jozu added, his diamond-enhanced voice cutting through the air. "Whether you like it or not! You're our brother, and brothers don't get left behind!"
"All of you came..." Ace whispered, looking at the assembled fleet with disbelief and overwhelming guilt. Tears fell from his eyes. "Everyone... came... for me..."
Whitebeard smiled gently. "It was I who drove you to this, my son. Now I'll be the one to correct it."
Whitebeard stabbed Murakumogiri, the enormous bisento that had ended countless battles on the deck. Then He gripped the air with both hands, then slowly, deliberately, crossed his arms and clenched his fists.
The world around his fists cracked. Literally cracked like glass, spiderweb fractures appearing in empty space, reality itself breaking under the pressure of his Devil Fruit power.
The Gura Gura no Mi. The Tremor-Tremor Fruit. The most powerful Paramecia-type Devil Fruit in existence, capable of creating earthquakes and shattering the world.
Whitebeard punched the air on both sides simultaneously. The world shattered.
The ocean responded instantly. Water rose on both sides of Marineford, connecting as a gigantic wave of water. Massive tsunamis hundreds of feet tall, towering over the entire island, blocking out the sun and casting everything into shadow. The sheer volume of water defied comprehension, enough to drown the entire island several times over.
Koby paled as he watched the scene. " This is the power of the strongest man in the world?"
"He's really going to do it!" A Marine's voice cracked with terror. "He's going to sink all of Marineford! We're all going to die!""The monster," another Marine whispered, his rifle clattering from nerveless fingers. "This is the power of the world's strongest man. We can't fight this. How do you fight someone who can destroy the world?"
"Protect the plaza!" Sengoku's voice cut through the panic with absolute authority. "Stop those tsunamis now!"
Aokiji stood from his chair with characteristic laziness, but his expression was completely serious. He vanished and reappeared on the path of the tsunami. With a single move, the massive walls of water became massive walls of ice, suspended mid-crash, framing the battlefield like frozen monuments to Whitebeard's power.
Aokiji spoke coldly. "Partisan!" Three arrows made of ice rushed towards Whitebeard. But none of his commander made a move. They had faith in their old man.
Whitebeard grinned. "You squirt." He sent out single punch that cracked the air itself, shattering the arrows, then heading towards Aokiji.
Aokiji moved swiftly, avoiding the atatck. "He's still a yonko, huh?" He then dropped on the water. The area where he landed froze instantly.
He stretched slightly, rolled his shoulders, then placed both palms on the ground."Ice Age."
Cold air erupted from his body. Exploding outward with impossible speed. The temperature plummeted fifty degrees in seconds. The air itself froze, ice crystals forming and falling like snow.
The freezing wave raced across the entire bay . When it made contact, the water froze instantly, transforming from liquid to solid ice in heartbeats.
But Aokiji didn't stop there. The ice continued spreading, racing across the entire bay, freezing the ocean surface completely. Within seconds, the water between the ships and the plaza had become a solid ice field, a massive frozen battlefield that connected everything.
"Smart," Whitebeard said with a slight smile. "He turned my attack into their advantage. Now both sides can fight without worrying about the water. Well played brat."
Then he grinned. "But I am Whitebeard! My sons, go and rescue your brother!"
"All units!" Marco's voice boomed across the fleet. "The ice gives us a direct path to the plaza! Charge! Save Ace! Don't let anyone stop you!"
The Whitebeard Pirates roared as one, a sound that shook the air itself. Thousands of pirates leaped from their ships onto the frozen bay, weapons drawn, powers activated, charging toward the Marine lines with absolute determination."FIRE!" Marine commanders shouted in perfect unison. "FIRE EVERYTHING!"
The Marines unleashed hell. Cannons boomed from every position, filling the air with explosive shells. Rifles cracked in coordinated volleys. Artillery batteries fired continuously, creating a wall of projectiles that should have devastated the charging pirates.
But the division commanders were there.
Marco transformed mid-leap, his body erupting into blue flames as he took his phoenix form. He flew ahead of the charge, intercepting cannonballs with his flaming wings, creating openings for his crew. The explosions that hit him simply passed through his intangible flame body, dealing no damage.
Jozu charged straight forward, his entire body transformed into diamond. Bullets bounced off him harmlessly. Cannonballs shattered against his impenetrable skin. He was a living battering ram, unstoppable and unbreakable.
Vista's twin swords moved in elegant arcs, creating whirlwinds that deflected incoming fire. His flower-petal technique filled the air with slicing petals that cut through projectiles before they could reach his crew.
The two forces collided with earth-shaking impact.
Pirates crashed into Marine lines like a tidal wave. Swords clashed with guns. Devil Fruit powers erupted in multicolored displays of destruction. Haki-enhanced strikes created shockwaves that rippled across the frozen bay. Blood stained the ice within seconds, red color spreading across white.
"Hold the line!" A Marine Lieutenant screamed, firing his pistol until it clicked empty, then drawing his sword. "Don't let them through! Protect the execution platform at all costs!"
"For Ace!" A pirate roared, his sword cutting through a Marine's defense. "We're not leaving without him!"
The battle became a chaotic melee. Thousands fought in close quarters, the ice slippery with blood, the air filled with screams and battle cries and the sounds of metal on metal.
Kizaru appeared right in front of whitebeard. The regular members of the crew panicked. "It's admiral Kizaru!"
Kizaru smirked. "Yaskani no magatama!" Multiple photon beams rushed towards Whitebeard who looked unamused.
"It's too bright. tone it down a little you brat." came his bored response.
Marco appeared in front of, taking on the attacks without any damage. He grinned smugly. "You can't go after the king directly. You need to deal with us first."
Kizaru spoke with interest. "Oh my, these whitebeard pirates are quite scary. Marco the Phoenix, mythical zoan user." He didn't look scared despite his words.
He sent out anouther round of rapid attacks as Marco transformed fully into his Phoenix form. Marco barreled through them, then landed a kick on Kizaru which he easily blocked. Marco grinned. "How scary."
Kizaru looked offended. "Hey, don't copy me."
Then the Shichibukai entered the fray, each one a force of nature.
Doflamingo laughed from his elevated position, his strings already active and slicing through pirates. "Fufufufu! What a beautiful show! War! Glorious, chaotic war! This is what the world should be! Constant conflict revealing everyone's true nature!"
His strings moved too fast to see, cutting through flesh and bone like they weren't there. Pirates died without understanding what killed them, their bodies collapsing in pieces.
Mihawk drew Yoru, the massive black blade that was one of the strongest swords in the world. He swung once, a casual motion like swatting a fly.The flying slash that resulted carved through the frozen bay, cutting through ice and bodies alike, creating a trench fifty feet long. Pirates scattered desperately, those too slow simply disappearing in the attack.
"I want to measure something," Mihawk said calmly, his expression bored despite the carnage. "The distance between that man and myself. The gap between us."
He aimed his next strike directly at Whitebeard, putting more power behind it, the slash creating a visible line of compressed air as it raced toward the Emperor.
Jozu intercepted, appearing in the slash's path with his diamond body. The attack hit him squarely, and for a moment everyone held their breath, wondering if even diamond could withstand the world's strongest swordsman.
The slash broke against Jozu's chest, dispersing harmlessly. Jozu grinned. "You'll have to go through all of us first, Hawk Eyes! Pops isn't fighting small fry today!" He bent and grabbed the forzen seabed, then with a loud crack pulled a massive chunk of ice to throw them at the platform where Akainu sat.
Akainu snorted and stood up. "Those two hot headed fools, abandoning their posts! Good thing I was here ." His right arm became molten magma. "Great Eruption!" His magma fist shattered the entire iceberg into fragments that sizzled and turned to steam.
His attack continued until Whitebeard casual punch to shatter it from destroying a ship. "Go and light the candles on a birthday cake instead, you magma brat!"
Akainu glared at him. "I'm lighting your funeral pyre old man. Your era is over!"
Boa Hancock stood among the other Shichibukai, but she made no move to attack. Her hand pressed against her chest where Luffy's vivre card rested, feeling it pull toward something, somewhere. Her expression was distant, worried.

"Where are you, Luffy? Please be safe. Please don't do anything stupid. Please come back to me."
A Whitebeard pirate charged at her, seeing an opportunity. "You're one of the Shichibukai! You're our enemy!"
Hancock didn't even look at him. "Don't bother me! Mero Mero Mellow."
Hearts flew from her hands. The pirate's eyes glazed over, completely captivated. His body turned to stone mid-charge, becoming a statue that toppled and shattered on the ice.But she didn't pursue. She simply stood there, one hand on her chest, waiting and worrying.
The God Knights remained at their positions around the plaza's perimeter, their emotionless faces watching the carnage with complete indifference. They made no move to intervene, content to observe as Marines and pirates killed each other.
Then Saint Gunko, the silver-haired woman among them, suddenly stiffened. Her hand went to her ear where a communication device was hidden beneath her helmet."Understood, Saint Garling-sama," she said quietly, her voice carrying no inflection or emotion. "The warning has been received. We will maintain heightened awareness for the unknown threat."
The other eight God Knights shifted slightly, their postures becoming more alert despite their faces remaining blank. They held direct communication with IMU, the supreme ruler of the world.
The battle intensified. More pirates poured onto the ice from the ships. More Marines fell defending their positions, their bodies trampled in the chaos. The Vice Admirals entered the fray, each one a powerhouse.
Vice Admiral Dalmatian transformed into his human-dalmatian hybrid form, tearing through pirates with enhanced strength. Vice Admiral Onigumo sprouted six additional arms through his Life Return technique, wielding eight swords simultaneously. Vice Admiral Momonga cut down opponents with precise sword strikes enhanced by Haki.
But the Whitebeard Pirates kept coming, pushing forward inch by bloody inch, getting closer to the execution platform.
Then the ground shook. Not from Whitebeard's power, but from footsteps. Massive footsteps that cracked the ice with each impact.
Oars Jr. appeared, pushing through the pirate ranks. The giant pirate stood even taller than his legendary grandfather, towering over everyone on the battlefield. He wore a massive straw hat on his head, hand-made by Ace as a gift, a symbol of their friendship.
"ACE!" Oars Jr.'s voice boomed across the entire battlefield, so loud it momentarily stopped nearby fighting. "I'M COMING! WAIT FOR ME! I'LL SAVE YOU!"
He charged toward the execution platform with single-minded determination, each step creating small craters in the ice. Marines scattered before him, unable to stop his advance. Cannonballs bounced off his thick skin like pebbles. Rifle shots were mosquito bites.
"Oars!" Ace's voice was filled with horror and desperate hope. "No! Don't come here! You're too big! You're an easy target! Please, just stay back!"
"You gave me this hat!" Oars Jr. touched the massive straw hat on his head, tears in his eyes. "You were kind to me when everyone else was scared! You're my friend, Ace! Friends save each other!"
"Someone stop that thing before it reaches the platform!" A Marine Captain screamed, his voice cracking. "Concentrated fire! Aim for the joints!"
The Marines start to panic, on account of Little Oars Jr.'s enormous size. Gecko Moria grinned. "Kishishishi. I must claim his corpse."
Doflamingo smirked. "Things are getting interesting."
Oars Jr kept charging, crashing through and making way for his comrades. He made the marines fall back. Whitebeard frowned and spoke. "Don't be so reckless little Oars!"
Oars Jr. spoke pleadingly. "Pops! I must rescue Ace. I don't care what happens to me if I can save my brother."
Multiple cannons hit his giant body, making him stumble.
Oars grimaced in pain but he didn't stop depite the devastating wounds. "I'm coming to save you Ace! hang in there!"
Ace was crying, knowing his friend is about to die trying to save him.
Doflamingo's strings caught one of Oars Jr.'s legs, wrapping around the ankle and pulling tight. "Fufufu! Too big, too slow, too easy!"
Oars Jr. stumbled but tore through the strings with brute force, continuing his charge.
Bartholomew Kuma raised his paws, compressed air gathering in front of them. "Target acquired."The compressed air blast hit Oars Jr.'s chest, creating a massive concussive impact that actually made the giant stagger backward. But he recovered, planting his feet and pushing forward again."I WON'T STOP!" Oars Jr. roared. "I'M SAVING ACE!"
Then Saint Gunko moved.
One moment she was at the perimeter. The next she was directly in front of Oars Jr., moving so fast she left afterimages. Her sword, radiating power that wasn't Devil Fruit-based but something fundamentally different, something older, drew back.
She slashed once across Oars Jr.'s chest.
The wound was catastrophic. Blood erupted in a massive spray, steaming in the cold air. The cut went deep, far deeper than should be possible, slicing through muscle and bone like they were paper.
Oars Jr.'s eyes went wide with shock and pain. "Ace... I wanted... to save you..."
He stumbled forward one more step, reaching toward the execution platform. Then his legs gave out. He fell forward, his massive body hitting the ice with enough force to crack it in a spiderweb pattern spanning hundreds of feet.
Blood pooled around him, spreading across the ground in a growing red stain. His breathing grew shallow, labored, then stopped.Oars Jr. the gentle giant was dead.
"OARS!" Ace screamed from the platform, his voice raw and broken. "NO! NOT HIM! HE NEVER HURT ANYONE! HE WAS GENTLE! HE WAS MY FRIEND!"
Tears streamed down Ace's face as he stared at the fallen giant, guilt and grief overwhelming him. "This is my fault. He died because of me. Everyone's dying because of me."
Whitebeard's expression darkened, his eyes finding Saint Gunko. "You killed one of my sons."
The air around him began to crack again, his fury building. His grip on Murakumogiri tightened until the weapon's shaft groaned.
But before he could act, a commotion erupted in the Marine rear lines. Soldiers were being thrown aside, formations breaking, confused shouts rising.
A figure emerged from the chaos, pushing through both pirates and Marines with desperate determination. Squard, one of Whitebeard's allied captains, a powerful pirate who'd sailed under Whitebeard's protection for years.
But his expression was twisted with betrayal, rage, and grief.
"WHITEBEARD!" Squard's voice cracked as he screamed, tears streaming down his face. "You sold us out! You made a deal with the Marines! You're sacrificing all of us to save Ace!"
"What?" Marco spun around, his phoenix flames flickering with shock. "Squard, what the hell are you talking about? Pops would never—"
"Admiral Akainu told me the truth!" Squard's voice was broken, desperate. "He showed me proof! The Marines made a deal with you! Only Ace and the Whitebeard Pirates would be spared! The rest of us, all the allied crews, we're just sacrifices! We're here to die so Ace can live!"
"That's a lie!" Jozu shouted, moving toward Squard. "Pops would never do that! Can't you see? It's a trick! They're manipulating you!"
"Roger killed my crew!" Squard screamed, his sword drawn and shaking in his grip. "The Pirate King slaughtered everyone I cared about! And you made Ace, Roger's son, your second division commander! You never told us! You hid it from all of us! Was that part of the deal too?"
He charged, running past his own men, past other division commanders who tried to intercept him. Squard's sword drove forward with all his strength, all his betrayal and grief fueling the strike. The blade pierced Whitebeard's chest, sinking deep into his body.
The entire battlefield froze.
Pirates and Marines alike stopped fighting, staring in shocked disbelief at what had just happened. One of Whitebeard's own allies had just stabbed him through the heart.
Blood flowed from the wound, adding to the medical tubes and equipment already covering Whitebeard's body. The Emperor looked down at the sword in his chest, then up at Squard with eyes full of sadness, not anger.
"My foolish son," Whitebeard said gently, his voice carrying across the silent battlefield. "Who poisoned your heart against your father? Who filled your head with such terrible lies?"
"They're not lies!" Squard's voice broke completely. "Admiral Akainu showed me—"
"And you believed him?" Whitebeard's voice was still gentle, still patient, like a father disappointed in his child but not angry. "You believed the man whose entire life is dedicated to destroying everything we've built? You believed him over me?"
"I..." Squard's grip on his sword wavered. "He had proof... he showed me documents..."
"Documents can be forged, son. Words can be twisted. But actions? Actions show the truth." Whitebeard reached out with his massive hands and wrapped them around Squard in a crushing hug, ignoring the sword still embedded in his chest. "You were deceived. You were used. But you're still my son. You'll always be my son. I forgive you."
Squard collapsed against Whitebeard's chest, sobbing uncontrollably. "I'm sorry! I'm so sorry, Pops! I'm such a fool! What have I done?"
Whitebeard pulled the sword from his chest with one hand and tossed it aside. Blood flowed freely from the wound, soaking into his clothes. He looked at the wound with mild concern, then at his assembled sons.
"Seems I'm running out of time faster than I thought," Whitebeard said, his voice carrying to all his commanders. "Marco! Jozu! Vista! All division commanders, listen carefully!"
Every commander immediately stopped what they were doing, focusing completely on their captain.
"I'm going forward," Whitebeard declared, his voice filled with absolute authority. "I'm charging the execution platform myself. You lot focus on clearing a path for anyone trying to reach Ace. Protect your brothers. Support each other. And most importantly, survive and return home with Ace! That's the final order from your captain!"
"POPS, NO!" Multiple voices shouted in protest. "You're already injured! You can't—"
"This is my choice!" Whitebeard's voice boomed, silencing all objections. "I'm Edward Newgate, the yonko! I'm Whitebeard! And I will save my son! Nobody tells me what I can or can't do!"
He leaped from the Moby Dick, his massive frame clearing the distance easily. He landed on the ice with enough force to crack it in a massive spiderweb pattern, the impact sending shockwaves that knocked nearby combatants off their feet.
A giant vice admiral named Lonz rushed at him. "Diee Whitebeard!"
Whitebeard didn't even look, just punched him. The air around him cracked, spreading towards the vice admiaral, then shattering him completely. He crashed with a loud bang, dead.
Then he began walking toward the Marine lines, Murakumogiri gripped in one hand, his presence radiating such overwhelming power that the air itself felt heavy.
Marines scattered before him like leaves in a hurricane. Those brave enough or orders-bound enough to attack found themselves sent flying with casual swings of his bisento, or simply knocked aside by the force of his presence alone.
"All forces!" Sengoku's voice was ice cold, tactical and precise. "Concentrate all fire on Whitebeard! Bring him down before he reaches the platform! Everything we have!"
Every cannon on Marineford's walls turned toward Whitebeard. Every rifle aimed at him. Artillery batteries locked onto his massive form and fired continuously.
The bombardment was apocalyptic. Hundreds of shells per second, creating a wall of explosions that engulfed Whitebeard completely, obscuring him in smoke and fire.
When the smoke cleared, Whitebeard was still walking forward, his coat singed and torn, new wounds covering his body, but his pace hadn't slowed at all.
"MONSTER!" A Marine screamed, his voice cracking with terror. "HE'S A COMPLETE MONSTER!"
Sengoku immediately sent out an order. "We're commencing the execution ahead of time. All marines, prepare!"
The sky darkened suddenly, drawing everyone's attention upward.
"What's that?"
"Something is falling from the sky!"
"It looks like... a ship?"
Something was falling from the clouds. People, dozens of them, plummeting toward the battlefield from impossible heights on a ship.
Multiple panicked voices came.
"It's all your fault Mugiwaraaaa!"
"Pipe down Buggy, You chose to come!"
"Hmph, how foolish.'
"You're really too reckless, Ace's brother."
"This is not how imagined I would die! Someone help me!"
At the front, clearly visible even from this distance, was a young man wearing a straw hat. His arms were stretched impossibly long, wrapped around the others, his face split in that characteristic massive grin."ACEEEEEEE!" The voice carried across the entire battlefield, filled with joy and determination and reckless courage. "I'M HERE! I'M HERE TO SAVE YOU!"
Behind the young man fell the most bizarre collection of people. Buggy the Clown, his body split into pieces and reassembling mid-fall, screaming about dying.
Emporio Ivankov, striking dramatic poses even while plummeting. Mr. 3, frantically creating wax parachutes. Crocodile, his sand body dispersing and reforming to control his descent. Jinbe, the warlord who was imprisoned.
And dozens of others. Escaped prisoners from Impel Down, criminals and revolutionaries, all falling toward Marineford like a meteor shower of chaos.
"WHAT THE—" A Marine pointed upward with a shaking hand. "WHO ARE THEY? WHERE DID THEY COME FROM?"
"That's Straw Hat Luffy!" Another Marine's voice rose with panic. "A supernova! And Crocodile! Former Shichibukai! Jinbe, the current shichibukai! And...are those Impel Down prisoners?!"
Hancock blushed. "Oh, Luffy, even now you look so handsome!"
Garp looked stunned. "You stupid brat!"
Sengoku shouted angrily. "GARP! YOUR FAMILY IS CAUSING A MESS, AGAIN!"
The ship surprisingly hit a hole in the ice where water was churning, with varying degrees of grace and control.
Luffy landed in a perfect crouch, his rubber body absorbing the impact effortlessly. Others crashed and rolled, creating craters and cracks. Some used Devil Fruit powers to cushion their falls. Buggy somehow split apart at the last second and reformed, still screaming. Jinbe dove underwater to rescue his crewmates.
When the dust settled, Luffy stood at the center of dozens of escaped convicts, all armed and ready for battle.
"LUFFY?!" Ace's voice was filled with horror, disbelief, desperate hope, and overwhelming fear all at once. "What are you doing here?! You idiot! You're going to get yourself killed! Why would you come here?!"
Luffy looked up at the execution platform, at his brother kneeling between executioners, and that massive grin spread across his face again. "I'm here to save you! You're my brother! I'm not letting anyone kill you!"
"You can't!" Ace's voice cracked, tears streaming down his face again. "There's one hundred thousand Marines here! Three Admirals! The Shichibukai! You'll die! Please, just leave! Save yourself!"
"No." Luffy's voice was simple, carrying no doubt whatsoever. "I'm saving you. That's final."
"All forces!" Sengoku's voice cut through the moment like a blade. "Straw Hat Luffy is here! And he is also the son of another criminal, Dragon, the revoulutionary! Capture or kill him immediately! And proceed with the execution! Now! Right now!"
Everyone was shocked again by the revealation. The pirate king's son first, now the the son of the most wanted criminal in the world also appeared. This war had drawn in so many dangerous people.
Luffy fought his way towards Ace, ignoring any obstacles. His companions helping him reach forward. But then he was knocked down by a vice admiral. "Stop you pirate! you're not going past us!"
But Luffy didn't stay down. He rose up again and again despite strength gap. He kept pushing forward with Ivankov's boost. His Gear 3rd form pushing past his limits. Suddenly as if struck by an unknown epiphany, he bit on his thumb and blew, inflating his arm into a massive size before knocking out the marines in front of him. "Gear 4th!" Luffy shouted as he charged forward.
"That kid, now I understand what that red haired brat saw in him. Betting on the new age, huh? How fitting."
Whitebeard was also charging toward the platform, but his wounds and old age caught up to him as he stumbled to his knee, coughing up blood.
Meanwhile, far away in the Thousand Sunny, everyone watched with bated breaths. Robin asked worriedly, "Kokabiel, should we move now? We might be too late if we delay further."
Kokabiel shook his head lightly with a gentle smile. "Don't worry Robin. Your captain is someone who will surpass his limits. It's... beautiful to watch his growth." His omniscience already showed what was about to happen. "Watch closely. It's coming."
Jin Woo spoke solemnly. "What did you see Kokabiel?"
Kazuma was jumping in excitement. "Oh man! I'm about to watch it in live action! One of the most epic scenes ever! Wait... did he freakin unlock Gear 4th in advance without armament haki? The plot is so messed up! "
Klein adjusted his gun. "He is brave but foolish. But that's part of his charm."
Youruichi sighed softly. "Such a pure hearted kid. He's not like a pirate at all."
Nami, Zoro, Sanji and the other also watched with nervous anticipation.
The two executioners on the platform raised their blades, positioning them above Ace's head, preparing to cut off his head.
Luffy saw it clearly. Saw the blades rising. Saw his brother about to die. Everything suddenly started to move slowly around him.
Luffy then shouted with all his strength. "STOP IT NOW!"
Something suddenly erupted from Luffy. Not visible, not tangible, but undeniably real. A wave of pure will, of absolute dominance, of kingly presence that crashed across the battlefield like a physical force.
The Conqueror's Haki, released unconsciously in a moment of desperate need. And it was not an ordinary awakening. It was stronger than usual.
The two executioners' eyes rolled back in their heads. Their bodies went limp. They collapsed where they stood, unconscious before their blades could fall. Even Sengoku flinched as he witnessed the scene.
Around the platform, dozens of Marines simply dropped, their minds unable to withstand the sheer force of Luffy's will. Weaker combatants on both sides fell unconscious, overwhelmed.Even some of the stronger fighters stumbled, feeling the pressure press down on them like a physical weight.
"Conqueror's Haki," Sengoku said quietly, his expression grim and calculating. "At his age. With that intensity. He's far more dangerous than our intelligence suggested. He has the potential to become a true threat to the world order."
"Quite troublesome," Kizaru commented, his usual lazy drawl tinged with actual concern. "Dragon's son with the qualities of a king. How scary~"
Whitebeard smiled softly. "I understand now." Then he shouted , his voice echoing through the plaza. "All of you, help the straw-hat kid save Ace!"
"All units fall back!" Sengoku's voice also boomed across the battlefield. "Execute Ace immediately! Don't give them any more time! Kill him now!"
Luffy charged forward, his escaped convict army following. Marines rushed to intercept, creating a massive melee between the execution platform and the invaders.
Luffy's fists flew, actually damaging opponents he couldn't have touched weeks ago. "Gomu Gomu no... Jet Pistol!"
Marines went flying. Luffy pushed forward, inch by inch, getting closer to Ace. Sengoku prepared to make a move despite knowing he was his friend's grandson.
Then all of a sudden, the defensive walls on Marineford's ocean side exploded.
Not from inside. From outside. The reinforced stone walls that were supposed to hold back any invasion simply shattered, massive sections blown inward by overwhelming force.
A laugh echoed across the battlefield, deep and manic and utterly unhinged."WORORORO! DID YOU IDIOTS START THE PARTY WITHOUT ME?! THAT'S RUDE! EXTREMELY RUDE!"
Kaido of the Beasts crashed through the breach, his massive kanabo Hassaikai swinging in wide arcs that sent Marines flying like ragdolls. Each impact created shockwaves, each swing killed multiple soldiers.
Behind him, the Beast Pirates fleet poured through the opening. Thousands of pirates, the Tobiroppo, the Numbers, King with his flames, Queen with his plague weaponry, Jack with his mammoth form. The entire Beast Pirates crew flooded into Marineford from a completely unexpected angle.
"KAIDO of the hundred beasts!" Sengoku's voice actually cracked with disbelief. "He actually came! He's really here!"
The god knights grabbed their weapons. They have been prepared.
The Whitebeard Pirates suddenly found themselves trapped. Marines ahead, blocking their path to the execution platform. Kaido's forces behind, crashing into their rear lines with brutal efficiency.
"POPS!" Marco transformed fully into his phoenix form, flying above the battlefield to assess the situation. "Kaido's forces are attacking our rear! We're surrounded!"
Whitebeard turned, his expression darkening as he saw Kaido approaching with that characteristic grin.
"Whitebeard!" Kaido's voice boomed across the battlefield, filled with manic excitement. "You look like hell, old man! Sick! Wounded! It's time for you to die and let someone younger take your place! Worororo!"
"I'm not dying yet, Kaido." Whitebeard replied, his voice cold and final, "until my sons are safe. All of them. After that, death can take me if it wants."
"Marco! Jozu! Vista!" Whitebeard's voice carried absolute authority despite the chaos. "Focus on helping that Straw Hat brat reach Ace! Clear a path for him! They are the future of the new era! I'll handle Kaido myself!"
"But Pops!" Marco's voice was filled with concern. "You're already injured! Squard's wound, the bombardment—"
"That's an order!" Whitebeard's voice left no room for argument. "Save Ace and return to our home! That's the only thing that matters!"
Marco's expression was pained, conflicted, but he nodded. "Understood, Pops. Come back alive. That's an order from your son. You are not allowed to die here!"
Whitebeard smiled slightly. "I'll do my best, my son."
The three strongest division commanders disengaged from their current fights, racing toward Luffy's position. Marco's phoenix flames cleared a path through the air. Jozu's diamond body smashed through Marine lines. Vista's flower swords created protective barriers.
"Straw Hat!" Marco called out as he landed near Luffy. "We're helping you reach Ace! Pops's orders!"
"Really?!" Luffy's face lit up. "Thanks! Let's go together!"
They charged as a unit, the combined force of Whitebeard's strongest commanders and Luffy's determination creating a breakthrough toward the execution platform. Akainu moved back to stop them. "You bloody pirates! Don't stand in the way of justice!"
Luffy shouted fearlessly. "Screw your justice! I'm saving Ace!"
Marco, Jozu and Vista smiled and looked at each other.
"He's got spirit."
"Ace has a good brother."
"We need to ensure he makes it."
Kokabiel smiled and closed his eyes on the Thousand Sunny. But when he opened them, the warmth had vanished. It was no longer the gentle friend they all knew. It was Heaven's Wrath, the being who could destroy the world.
"I think it's about time to make our entrance, guys."
Jin Woo smirked. "About time."
Klein took a deep breath. "Be careful out there. Cover each others back. Kokabiel would go after the Herald while we minimize the casualties."
Youruichi patted his shoulder. "Relax Klein. We just need to support. Our scar angel san got this."
Robin chuckled despite the situation. "Just hope he doesn't go overboard and destroy the world."
A new era was coming. There was no stopping it.
