First of all, this thing is something akin to a dog, a terrifying, monstrous and horrifying dog but one nonetheless. I have mentioned that it has at least more than one head and that still stands correct but in fact, it has three, resembling the ancient Demon, Cerberus. The heads have the shape of the head of a rottweiler although half of it is covered by what seems to be armour. Unlike Miranda’s face mask, I can actually see their eyes and they are something to look at I will tell you. They have a strong blue colour to them but their shape is irregular, changing with the passing of time but only ever slightly. Enough for those that stare at it to be consumed by fear that these eyes portray to the world. This is one of those parts that I said that are made of magic and throughout its body the same phenomenon happens. At the beginning of its legs while they have armour on them, one that stops once it reaches the knees, you can somewhat see a few magic traces creeping out from it, indicating to me that in that area, it’s made of purely magic instead of being a physical body. Actually, the same happens at the base of their necks or is it a single neck? You know, a massive single neck that extends in three directions? Either way, the same happens, armour until the neck nape, leaving a somewhat empty area until the face armour starts. Huh, is that a weak point? Let’s see if I can remember that when we start fighting for real, it’s not like I will miss it or anything like that... Ah yes, it’s mere moments from happening as the Cerberus is already growing at me, showing off the tremendous number of teeth the three heads have combined. To make it even more horrifying and fear-inducing is the sheer sharpness of every single one of them so much so that it seems all of them are canine from how sharp they are.
But I still have some time until he’s at my neck, so I’m going to keep going. While this beast is something that shouldn’t be allowed to roam the streets of the real world, that still does not make it a sight to be seen even though it would petrify with despair and dread those who are far too unfortunate to be on his sight. Or too stupid to be put in such a position.
He also has armour on his chest area but in this case, the body underneath is made of skin and bones per say as I cannot see or even sense magic coming from that area the same way his eyes are for example. Something that I have not mentioned is the fur that is present throughout the entirety of the body, gently releasing to the world small magic particles, making it a beautiful sight to be seen as it has a gentle blue colour to them. Even in horror you can still appreciate the small beauty in it. Anyway, this fur has a dark grey colour to it while the armour has an even darker shade with a few “details” of that strong blue colour although in some cases it seems to be thanks to the magical body underneath it as some of them do not have said blue colour. The fur of course seems to be as sturdy as you can probably imagine, making steel weapons completely useless as I believe it would only bounce back, almost as if they were hitting a rock instead of a body made of flesh. Though this only happens to those whose strength is below A-, anything above that and I think it can do damage to him. Ah, I’m running low in time. It seems he is ready to throw “claws” at me though, he’s rather slow…
Or should I say that I was expecting it to be faster thanks to the tremendous amount of magic energy he has?
Hum, I have no clue but I can still say that those claws are huge, easily bigger than my torso for example. And that’s individually of course. Ah, just imagine what atrocities they can commit… Just one last thing before I have to dodge his rather slow attack. His tail, the last thing that I have to mention as I believe that I might clash with it in the near future. Easily with over 5 meters of length and with another meter or so of “thickness”, that tail can easily crush anything that dares to stand on its path. To make it “worse” for the poor soul that is in the path of it, not only it’s made of purely magic, it also has armour on it, increasing the overall weight by several times I would guess. If someone told me that it weighs close to one ton, I wouldn’t doubt at all but just imagine the total weight that would hit you if he decides to strike you with it?
And I’m out of time.
Groar! Swoosh!
With a rather simple side strike with his right and front paw, he tried to cut me into several pieces; however, since he was rather slow, I easily dodge it by backstepping a few meters. But now that I’m thinking about it, maybe he was slow on purpose? Maybe he’s trying to understand my strength? Evaluate what I’m capable of doing? If this is the case, while it will make this battle much more interesting, this makes him much more dangerous than I initially thought. As I mentioned, from his body alone you can say that he is something akin to a Shadow but as we know, those monsters have little to none intelligence whatsoever and just the fact that this Cerberus is testing his opponent all because his magic energy is rather low compared to what he did, it’s a complete and utterly step up in intelligence, especially compared to the Shadows. In fact, you can compare him with the Crystal monsters. Argh, the more I think about him the more dangerous he ends up becoming. However, is he a Shadow at all? He does have several “components” that I consider that would belong to a Shadow and yet, with mainly a physical body and with intelligence that can be comparable with the Crystal monsters makes me doubt it. Maybe he’s not a Shadow but in the process of becoming one? Nah, that does not make sense because once the transformation starts, his entire body will be replaced by a magical one in the spam of a few seconds not only that, if he failed at such he wouldn’t be here now. No, maybe it’s more correct to say that he is an evolution of the Shadows. If this is true then, the Shadow threat has jumped upwards considerably. But now is not the time to think about this, I still have to defeat him first.

“Oh god that is always by my side! With the weapon prepared by the church I will then smite my foes with it so that the word of the god can be further spread! Paladin White Sword!”
Magic noises!
Welp, there was no need for me to say this but oh well, sometimes a guy needs to put a fa?ade you know? Wait, what the hell am I even saying? An-Anyway! With this rather long and unnecessary poem (or whatever the hell those lunatics call it) I summon my Paladin White Sword. Once that was done, I quickly got ready to intercept Cerberus while at the same time increasing my magic energy up to S rank, just scraping it though, easily at the upper S- rank. Once I do so and as expect, Cerberus quickly realizes the strength of the foe in front of him, also quickly putting himself in guard to what I might do, showing of a high degree of intelligence as if it was a normal Shadow, I wouldn’t be having this “monologue” in my head as he would’ve already jumped towards me so that he could eat my magic energy and he would do so with excitement.
“Let’s see how you react to this! Wind Dash!”
Step! Clash!
He did react to it. I will tell you that. Just like before, by using an Anemo spell I quickly dash towards Cerberus, closing the distance between us in an instant but I do have to say that it was not fast enough for him it seems. He was able to react somewhat easily, telling me that he should be in the comfort of the middle of the S rank realm, maybe just a tiny bit below average? Either way, once I was close enough to him, with a rather simple but quite powerful side swing, I attempt to cut down in half his right front leg, only to be intercepted by his left claw making me clash with it instead and thanks to the sheer force behind his swing, it did send me sideways quite a few meters as I didn’t have a proper footing to receive such attack thanks to my dash. It didn’t destabilize me or anything like that but since I was somewhat without my feet on the ground, there wasn’t much that I could do to prevent this. Enough of my side tracks as he won’t give me time to think about them.
He leaps towards me, ready to tear me a new face however he does so while the claws on his right paw are glowing brightly with a strong but captivating blue colour to them, indicating to me and to those that see it that, he’s using a magic spell to enchant them, increasing their strength and even size in this case. I have no clue what spell he’s using but from the properties of it I can say that it’s a Black Magic type of spell, even though it has those bright full colours.
Tink! Bam!
Can’t say that I was expecting for our clash to make this loud and acute sound but oh well, moving on. Once he got close enough, I struck his right claws, forcing them to hit the ground violently and brutally, rendering his attempt unfruitful although this is when that loud and acute sound happened telling me that, I hit something akin to metal as it did have a sound quite similar to it. However, he’s not done yet. With his left paw he tries to do the same thing but this time slightly faster than before. It seems he just wants to damage me rather than straight out kill me. But as anyone can expect, the same happens. Literally. The same results, the same acute sound that follows the clash, everything is the same which leads me to believe that there is more to this than meets the eye.
And I was right.
Thanks to my goddess and all of her glory that I’m used to fighting, allowing me to foresee what he is about to do as otherwise, I would be completely toasted right now. From one of his heads, the one in my right to be precise for some odd reason, said head while we were clashing it was preparing a simple but powerful Great Fireball. Now, a good question to have is, how did it hide it from me or how did I not see it? The previous times I was able to see a magic circle in front of said head but this one, he was able to fully hide it. Well, not fully as I was able to sense the increase of magic usage however, there is a simple reason for this. He didn’t use a different spell to conceal the Great Fireball, no, it’s much simpler than that instead, he prepared said Great Fireball inside of his mouth, creating the magic circle inside of it, hiding it from the outside. Of course, the size and power of it are much smaller and lower but, by simply concentrating magic into said magic circle, the moment he opens his mouth, the Great Fireball gains its original size and power as it will use the “excess” magic that is present near that area. This shows two simple “things”, the first one is that Cerberus has quite the magic control as to do something like this is not easy at all and the second one is his intelligence, the same one that I commented on a few moments ago. To think of such an elaborate plan in a short period of time is a fact and phenomenon that should scare and terrify anyone that is facing him and yet…
I’m getting excited instead.
Blast!
The Great Fireball was shot towards me with quite the speed behind it, covering the small distance between us in a blink of an eye. The explosion that follows it is nothing short in a sense that it's quite powerful, sending a strong but short shockwave through the air, but in a circle area. However, a small “smoke screen” post explosion appears, one that fully covers me or should have as I dodged the Great Fireball by yet again dashing towards him, getting behind him in the process or in other words, a good opportunity to counter attack as he only noticed what I did and where I am after I hit him.
