Luna was scared and excited.
She rejected Silly’s shield; she just did it. How she missed him; it had been only a few days, and yet! And Taj, he now protected him; Taj did that; Silly didn’t notice yet.
Taj would protect him; Silly wouldn’t be hurt and wouldn’t disturb.
… When she saw it was Silly, she was startled. And then Taj had said it was the wave, the other energy he detected the other time. So, it was Silly that worked with Lukai;
Silly was Shadows Young Master. The Lord’s son. Her alliance fiancé.
Right, right… right.
After they paid their respects, they quickly talked. Luna whispered to Taj; his answers were only audible to her. It was also unfortunate; they had come here to honor her dad. They wanted to have some peace; they didn’t look for any adventure.
Taj said it was not a coincidence. If Silly was Shadows Lord’s son, Lukai surely had already shared the information. Taj stated that it looked like they were observing her.
Not that it was surprising, somehow?
It was all happening quicker than they thought. However, in this situation, there was no need to hide anymore, at least to some point. Taj nodded, saying it was worth trying, as probably it was the last time they were out from Planet One.
He was right. The chances of her using the Gate in the Shadows’ library after that were almost zero. The chances of her avoiding meeting her fiancé were also almost zero.
Just zero.
Everything was about to change, so why not try, at least once?

She made up her mind.
Taj protected Silly, and those attacking forms noticed her energy; they were also slowly moving in her direction.
Luna was terrified yet thrilled.
She reached under her clothes, and out of the corner of her eye she saw that Silly had a very strange expression on his face. Right, how must it have looked?
Taj was calm; after all, Taj would handle everything. He was next to Silly; his projection charged as much as she was able to. It calmed her down even more—Taj was there.
Luna reached further under her clothes and tugged. The rubbers came undone, Luna felt; it was never nice—her energies started to collide, not mix, if it were possible, but no, they had to hit, clash.
One arm, her father’s energy from his Crystal, a tiny bit, she kept flowing in one of her arms. Her mother’s, in her whole body, a lot, as Taj said, her great, great, grand—Luna never remembered—the very grandmother had so much energy, and everything was jumping from daughter to daughter. Partly by itself, partly because they gave it to each other.
How did they give energy to each other so that it would accumulate? Taj never explained. Taj could sometimes explain more…
… Focus, Luna, for heaven’s sake!
How strange it was to be here where her dad had died—this emptiness. What did it smell like? This attacking thing not only generated such a shape, it was very disturbing.
It also smelled strange, like what? Like a very deep, old hole or an old basement. Interesting, she thought. She would tell Taj later.
Luna ran up earlier and was standing, observing it. Interestingly, too, this thing didn’t attack as well.
Right, Taj had said, it was no longer controlled; he guessed it was safe because whoever was controlling it then was not doing so now. How did Taj know? How had he guessed? He didn’t say, of course?
In fact, this thing was not motionless; it was slightly moving, but it seemed somehow undecided.
“Ha, so what?” Luna suddenly felt like all her fears had accumulated in her stomach and turned into laughter.
She wanted to laugh.
“… Focus, Luna, for heaven’s sake, and for the second time, this is a serious situation!”
She looked at Taj; he was calm, but Silly looked like he was watching a horror movie—his face, the look on his face!
Luna felt even more like this was all unreal.
Her energy was entering the second phase; she would have to leave right away, and Taj would need to balance her energy because she would start vomiting.
Really, what a warrior, vomiting five minutes after releasing energy from the reins.
… She burst out laughing at the same time as she released energy from both her hands.
