Likes: Humans, her father, Jelly, apple pies ( to a concerning extent ) and what she deems interesting stories.
Dislikes: Boredom, pain ( mostly mental anguish ), and being alienated by humans.
Hobbies: Watching people live their lives, counting the stars in the sky at night, and drawing at times ( currently she draws in her father’s wheat field, leaving large geometric shapes visible from above ).
Wishes: To understand humans better, so that she can have a more enjoyable time engaging with them. She also would like everyone to be immortal, just like her.
Random fun facts: She once found an injured rabbit and ate it whole because she felt hungry, not knowing that she had to kill and cook it first. The entire village witnessed that scene straight out of a horror movie, and to this day she still wonders why they keep their pets away from her ( and they are well advised, she hasn’t developed empathy for anything that can’t speak to her ). She also only recently learned she has a last name, and she’s conflicted as to whether she should use it or not given that Andreas tells her yes, and Alice tells her to stop immediately after.

Andreas Kegan
Alignment: Lawful Good
Likes: His family, and astrology.
Dislikes: Farm work.
Hobbies: Building miniature house models out of wood.
Wishes: Unknown, but he has expressed multiple times in the past that he would’ve loved to live in a larger town.
Random fun facts: He pursued studies in architecture somewhere away from Oakvale, but wasn’t able to fully complete them before he had to return to help his parents at the family’s farm. Now he has taken his father’s mantle, and has somewhat made his peace with that even if he rants about his dead dreams from time to time.

Alice Kegan
Alignment: Balanced Good

Likes: Stargazing, and chasing wolves and other hostile animals with farm equipment ( she claims there’s nothing weird or violent about it, and that she’s simply defending her family’s property ).
Dislikes: Nyx, and bland foods.
Hobbies: Baking, and horse riding during her free time.
Wishes: For Vanessa to regain control of her body and for Nyx to be exorcised ( as she calls it ).
Random fun facts: She met Andreas in the city he was studying architecture, and apparently her family hails from a foreign nation. Nyx struggles to understand how Andreas and her fell in love, given their opposing personalities. She seems to have a higher physical strength than the average woman of her age, which is what helped her fight back against the soldier trying to drag her away in chapter 4. It seems to be somewhat hereditary, as Nyx is capable of lifting horses in the air without too much struggle.

Alignment: Lawful Evil
Likes: His family, or rather what’s left of it.
Dislikes: Jelly and himself, mostly.
Hobbies: Playing chess and practicing his sword skills.
Wishes: Fulfilled, for the most part at least.
Random fun facts: He never really removes his armor except to sleep. He says that where he comes from, in the kingdom of Polemys, you always need to be ready for a surprise attack. Given that old habits die hard, he is often reprimanded by Alice for the constant clanking noise he creates when he walks around the house.

Josephine Orei

Likes: Farm animals and people who indulge her antics.
Dislikes: The jellyfish monster.
Hobbies: Engaging on what she calls “adventures”, which consist in her running off into the woods and causing Cassius to chase after her.
Wishes: She’s unsure, currently she’s simply adapting to her new life.
Random fun facts: She tried to kill Jelly multiple times over, but the latter was saved by two factors. First, the fact that she cannot swim at all, and second her lack of any combat capabilities. As a matter of fact, Jelly had to fly to her rescue multiple times as she was drowning in the farm’s pond, since Jelly knew that nothing good would come out of letting her die while Cassius was around.

Likes: Unknown.
Dislikes: Cassius.
Hobbies: Swimming.
Wishes: To stay alive.
Random fun facts: Jelly is terrified of Nyx due to her erratic behavior and borderline boundless life force. She is one of the only creatures that actually understands just how much is wrong with Nyx, but she doesn’t really mind as long as she’s fed. Her gender is actually unknown, but Nyx considers her a female of her species because she’s wearing a dress ( Nyx works in patterns, seeing anything wear a dress makes her think that they’re female because she almost exclusively saw women wearing them. Ironically, that means she also thinks that anyone who wears togas, mage robes or anything of the like is a woman, which confused her about Serafim’s gender when he was first created ).
