Zachariah stood in the middle of the room.
On the first corner to the right held the remaining Cassettes: Kanae, Tagma and Lucius who stared at the middle of the room with their mouths agape. Not at Zachariah but of what transpired mere moments ago.
On the second corner to the left held Xeras’s body. Asleep and dormant for over a couple days.
On the bottom corner of the left held: Nyx, Ilya and Rosamire. The young girl standing beside two— both in shock.
Away above sitting on the throne was Amarze whose gaze didn’t lie with what happened with The Savior but instead the right hand corner at the bottom.
With Ishtar’s corpse diced into cubes— layered in a pyramid.
Egyptian.
“You can’t be serious.” Amarze shuddered, “Cubes? Pyramids? How’d he do this to a Seraphim! Aren’t you supposed to be the best of the best!” His glaring white sockets landed on Ilya who stepped frantically back.
Pacing herself toward a window as her feet slipped onto a mosaic flooring of both Castor and Pollux.
“I—I couldn’t!”
“Why act like we even cared for that thing!” Lucius scoffed, his bold white wings flapped against the air as he folded his arms. “It was a nuisance! Providing light during a time such as this only leads to death! As seen with her!”
“Relax yourself— don’t speak ill of the dead.” Kanae laid his palm on Lucius’ shoulder, staring with a stern look.
The Guildford turned his head to the L:eader of the Cassettes, “Ill of the dead? Where the hell is Conquest!”
“Conquest… was he in Floria?” Tagma’s eyebrows raised. “Holy shit! Conquest!”
“I hate to interrupt but…” Amarze leaned in from his throne, “I never really got who those people in the right were…”
“They’re simply insignificant rebels.” Rosamire sighed, “They’re only in here because they deserved to see Xeras’s true colours but now…”
“You guys finally saw that bastard for what he was? Tasking me with a whole genocide just to—”
“We al know you did it because of your own reasons.”
“Who’s gonna substantiate that?”
“Anubis and the Kappa just left with the most dangerous person around, can we please talk about that…” Zachariah grumbled, he turned around from Amarze and stared at his father.
Still asleep— resting.
He gave up.
“Father, you dealt with this for so many years.” Zachariah bowed his head, closing his eyes. “I’m sorry for saying that about you.”
“Rosamire.” Tagma called out to the Saint who shot a glare.
“What do you want? Got enough out of laughing at Thidos?”
“So one time he’s Thidos and next time you call him Xeras? Pick a side— no way I idolised this silly girl.”
“Who ya calling silly?”
If you encounter this tale on Amazon, note that it's taken without the author's consent. Report it.
“You.”
“Shut up…”
“Ilya..” Nyx turned to the girl, leaning into her ears and whispering. “We should leave soon— Floria’s ashes may fade into the wind by the time we wake once more. Ostra we go.”
Ilya’s eyes turned to the vampire before nodding. “Gloxer first.”
“He’s smart— he already left for Ostra, just message him when we get out. If he say proto then we go but not, I use tracking.”
“No use being here.”
Both of them left the room.
“Shut up…”
Rosamire stared at the door.
“You following them?” Amarze called out to the Saint who violently shook her head.
“Hell no.”
“You guys all do know that this little place is going to explode in a couple moments.”
“What?” Kanae exclaimed, “Do you not know if that can have literally any repercussions on the other realms!?”
“If I were literally any of you— I’d get going to like Ostra. Hell, is Ostra the only liveable place?”
“Invalia exists…” Tagma muttered.
“Who gives a fuck abo—”
“SHUT UP!” Zachariah yelled, an aura of pink forming around him. His bright pearl-pink pupils dilated as he tensed his entire body. No longer wielding a grand smile as he roared. The scars on each side of his lips beginning to re-open before healing a moment after.
However his buzzcut began to rapidly grow.
One instant his hair was low but then by the next second, he had a chestnut spiral kiss curl waving on his forehead. His hair no longer was cleanly shaven but instead a cocoa mullet that went down to the collar of his pitch-black overcoat. His black platform shoes stood on a mosaic of
EZEKIEL LEVY.
“Z—Zachariah?” Lucius flapped his wings to shield Kanae and Tagma as violent ripples of energy was sent across the Cathedral.
“Bloody hell! Think of the Priests Zachariah!” Rosamire fell to the ground, covering her entire body with her arms.
“Shut up! Super Peace! The IMP… he’s alive! We needed to kill that bastard and we didn’t do it— we are jeopardising Super-PEACE!”
“And what the hell is Super-Peace?” Amarze chuckled.
“Super-Peace is when Floria wins!”
“Do you not think the opportunity for that is over?”
“Floria can survive anything.” Zachariah’s eyes narrowed on the former First Angel.
“Woah!” Kanae’s voice was muffled from underneath Lucius’s wings, “The Gods are even more mentally fucked than I thought!”
“Shut up rebel! What have you done? All you ugly rebels have done is go around and rape and pillage and do all sorts of shit!”
“Where the hell did you get that?” Lucius turned his head to the Angel.
The ripples paused.
“What do you mean? I’m right!” Zachariah stomped his foot, “Super-Peace! It’s all for Super-Peace! We need it!”
“Did Thidos even want to become the great unifer?”
“Shut! UP!”
“You’re throwing a tantrum like a child, simply be honest and say the only reason you’re losing it is because you let that Imp get away.” Lucius snickered before recoiling. “Eugh— you remind of my brother.”
“Shut it! Get lost! Get the hell out of my SIGHT!” Zachariah lunged toward Amarze. Hovering in the air as he attempted to propell himself further to the Throne. “Give me your str—”
“You’re the new first Angel right?” Amarze’s ‘eyes’ stared at Zachariah, “Go do it without help.” The Decimator flicked his hand causing Zachariah to be sent flying to the ground.
He landed though.
“Bastard! Hell I need a fucking! What? Huh.” Zachariah’s eyes wavered as his lip quivered. “What the?” Tagma side-eyed Kanae who shrugged.
“S—Supa dupa peace. Supa hot peace fir—” Zachariah began mumbling to himself.
He dropped to the ground, sitting with his legs crossed like a child as he began to play on the floor.
“Is something wrong with him?” Amarze quaked, “He’s weird?”
“I don’t know..” Rosamire shuddered, “Xeras typically has him somewhere away from here— I didn’t even know he existed!”
“We live for those who’ve fallen.” Zachariah stood back up, fixing his coat. He blew the curl in front of his head into falling in line with the rest of the pile. Standing on the mosaic of Ezekiel like a general.
“We live for those who have fallen and also those who still remain.
For?
It’s all for Super-Peace. Does colonising the other realms feel so hard in your soul? Why would it? For what do the other realms do? Anyone can answer as that is the true individuality of Super-Peace.”
“You’re bullshitting.” Amarze groaned. “Shut up already.”
Zachariah’s eyes darted from Amarze then back to the crowd. He grimaced before fixing his collar, re-adjusting his stance.
Similar to The Savior’s but instead he had his left hand over his chest.
“I believe I know best as you should understand that… I am the… First Angel now! The First Angel! I am the one in command.
Now the Seraphim may have been but look at how they departed from my father— only mere years after working for him.
I’d say that my existence being hidden so long makes me fit as God now.
Do not fret!Do not fret!
Lible says to abide by Thidos and his kin, so who is his kin? I’d propose I am the only remaining kin?
Wouldn’t I say—”
Silence.
He never finished his sentence.
Instead he stared across the room expecting nods but instead received blank faces.
“Impudent…”
“Why…” Rosamire stared at Zachariah then back at the unconscious Xeras, “Is this truly your offspring?”
“Nice one… expose you are just a gremlin.” Lucius shuddered as he began to walk behind Kanae who gave out a loud bellowing laugh.
“Oh ho.” Kanae grinned, patting Tagma on the shoulder.
“There’s no more to it.
He’s just insane.”
“Don’t worry about it.” Amarze sighed, “He was actually dropped as a kid.”
“Hah.” Tagma let out a chuckle, “Makes sense.”
