Arcane Solutions: Shop-Chapter 39

Gemini rapidly calculated in her mind. Customizing such a magical eye would cost around 5,000 Galleons. Since America had a Weasley alchemy branch shop, perhaps she could secure a discount? In that case, charging him 10,000 Galleons shouldn't be unreasonable, right?

After roughly estimating, Gemini quoted her price: "Three million US dollars, or equivalent value in gold."

Fury also calculated mentally. The new safe house construction could be temporarily postponed—this money could be transferred quickly. He immediately made his decision: "No problem. When can it be replaced? What preparations do I need to make?"

Gemini's eyes curved into a smile. "Please pay half as a deposit first. Come back in one week at this same time with the balance." She handed him a piece of parchment. "Here, write down your specific customization requirements. Of course, it's best to be clear about the details, especially color and size. I assume you wouldn't want to have a palm-sized eye flashing rainbow colors, would you?"

Fury couldn't help but imagine what Gemini described and immediately shuddered. "Of course not." He then filled out the form under Gemini's guidance, measured his eye socket size, signed his name, and went downstairs to find Ethan to process the payment, finally completing the transaction.

"Then I'll come back at this time next week." Fury nodded to Ethan, put on a hat and pulled the brim low, then turned and walked out of the All-Purpose Shop.

Gemini stood on the second floor watching Fury disappear at the end of the street, couldn't help but wave the order in her hand. "Looks like Americans really are wealthy!"

Just as Gemini was tidying up and preparing to personally commission Fury's eyeball, her fireplace hissed, accompanied by Tony's boisterous voice, instantly filling the house with liveliness.

"Sweetheart! How have you been? Let me tell you, that George is really a good guy—I'm going to learn alchemy from him." Tony started talking non-stop the moment he emerged from the fireplace.

Gemini responded perfunctorily, having Coby prepare drinks and refreshments. "So his workshop moved to your place? Perfect—I need to place an order. You can take it back to him directly. Tell him to complete it within a week, and charge market price."

Tony took the parchment in confusion. "Why have I become an errand boy?"

Gemini showed a sweet smile. "For convenience, of course. Aren't you going back anyway?"

Tony touched his nose. "Alright, alright, I'll give it to him." After a pause, Tony continued: "I wanted to ask—does George have some kind of story?" He then described what he found suspicious. Gemini quietly put down her cup and refreshments, listening seriously.

You could be reading stolen content. Head to Royal Road for the genuine story.

"I think I know why, but this isn't something I should tell you. After all, I'm still young, and much of what I know about that era comes from books. I think there's someone who should know very clearly." Gemini said, glancing at the sky outside. It should be after work hours in Britain now. She asked Tony to wait while she went to her room to get the two-way mirror and returned to the living room.

"Harry? Harry!" Gemini and Tony sat side by side as Gemini placed the two-way mirror on the table, calling softly.

Soon, Harry's face appeared in the mirror. "What's wrong, Gemini? Did something happen?"

Gemini smiled. "Nothing's wrong. Are you free now? Tony has some questions he'd like to ask you."

Harry visibly relaxed. "I'm free. Is he there too? What do you need help with?"

Tony quickly leaned forward, voicing his doubts about George. When he mentioned George's workshop password, Harry's eyes reddened, frightening Tony into immediate silence.

"This is a long story. George had a twin brother—they were together from before birth until they were nineteen." Harry said, wiping his face forcefully. "Have you read the history books about magical Britain?"

  Tony nodded.

Harry sighed and told the entire story about George and Fred.

Gemini listened with tears in her eyes, deciding in her heart not to give any discount on this order.

Tony was also silent for a long while. "What about portraits? Don't wizards have portraits? Didn't Fred leave one behind?"

Harry shook his head. "He was so young, and his death was too sudden. Besides, creating a magical portrait requires at least several months of preparation. In those times, who would have had time to quietly prepare a portrait?"

Tony nodded. "I see. Thank you."

Harry continued: "I hope you won't change your attitude toward George because of Fred's situation. He's very smart, and losing Fred hurt him the most. I sent him abroad to open a branch shop hoping to get him away from **familiar surroundings. He's never gotten over it—I think you understand."

Tony nodded silently. Gemini took over the conversation: "Well, it's getting late. It must be very late on your end. Get some rest, Harry. We'll talk again next time!"

"Even though you're in America, remember your age. You still can't neglect your studies..." Before Harry could finish, the two-way mirror was flipped over, showing his own reflection. Harry smiled and shook his head, tucked the mirror away, and the criminal at his feet began whimpering and moaning again. He stepped down hard to keep the criminal quiet, efficiently tied him up, and brought him back to the Ministry of Magic to report.

"So now you know. What's next?" Gemini put away the two-way mirror and asked.

Tony leaned back on the sofa, looking up at the cloud-drifted ceiling. "I have an idea, but it's not mature yet. I need to test it more."

"Don't do anything unnecessary. You should understand this kind of feeling." Gemini said warningly.

Tony remained silent, rubbing his face. "I know, I understand. It's getting late—I need to go back. I still have things to do."

"Remember my order!" Gemini reminded him. Tony waved his hand to show he understood, skillfully threw down Floo Powder, and stepped into the fireplace.

The magical eyeball order was placed, but Gemini still had other preparations to make. After all, this eyeball was for a Muggle, and Muggles had no magic power in their bodies. She'd need to use other methods to give the eyeball the ability to absorb magic power independently. She'd need to reference the legendary Auror Alastor Moody's magical eye construction. She remembered her books contained this information—she needed to confirm it again. Some rare materials also needed to be prepared in advance. With such a large order, Gemini didn't want to mess it up.
