The angel of a woman sighed deeply and as she replied, she grabbed Masa Ed left arm close to her and locked gaze with him.
"Mr Eda, you indeed really set a record. Your actual score in your IJTE was four hundred and ninety nine. The international education council because of what disclosing your score to the general public will cause had to change it to two hundred and seventy. I am sure you also understand."
The angel of a woman look at Masa Ed with warmness and tenderness; she look like she is pleading for his understanding. However in response—contrary to her expectation it appeared —Masa Ed smiled and chuckled:
"I understand; its basic human politics. It might have also protected me from annoying flies and responsibilities. I was the idiot for not holding back—I was thinking I will wow the whole world with my score and be worshipped. It was a shocker when I received my exam report... I felt like crying then, well... I didn't understand politics at the time, I was young and stupid. Hehehe..."
Masa Ed chuckled and the angel of a woman holding his hand intimately chuckled alongside him. To an observer watching them—her two quiet retainers specifically—they look like two close friends having a delectable banter.
Moving on...
Masa Ed locked gaze with her again and resumed, "So, lady Margaret... I have been under you guys radar for a long time? What exactly are you guys?"
"Mr Eda, I need you to hear me out and trust me." The woman pleaded in response. She gripped Masa Ed hand firmly and drew closer to him.
"Oh!"Masa Ed exclaimed. "Listen and trust! Let's listen first."
"Thank you." She beamed and shamelessly grabbed his other hand. Then demonstrating her inhuman powers the second time as her long curly hair and eyes glow golden briefly, then surely by her making, small golden arrows of light appeared close to Masa Ed, pointing at him with intent capable of obliterating him on contact.
"Mr Eda, do you know about the supernatural world?" She resumed. Meanwhile the arrows around Masa Ed who is unbothered by it dissipated into thin air; they disappeared.
"Kind of." Masa Ed replied. "Supposedly there is voodoo and shamanism in my homeland, and there are these people that do strange stuff they call magic. So..." He shrugged.
"Have you experienced one before?" The angel of a woman asked.
"Hmm.." On Masa Ed's face appeared a look of contemplation. His mind reeled back to all he has experienced so far since the day the strange pillar of white flame fell on him from the sky. At this point, him denying the existence of supernatural will be dumb stupid. However still, in his mind, he is certain even the supernatural can be rationalized if given time and resources, after all everything the mind perceives is structured, no exception ever; hence like a rational person as himself should do, he replied:
"Yes, kind of. I guess the one you did now is one?"
"No its not." The angel of a woman shook her head.
"!!??!!" Her response shocked Masa Ed greatly. But before he could verbally express his confusion, the angel of a woman resumed:
"It can be consider supernatural, but in the language of our kind, its spiritual. The Supernatural exist differently; its sphere is the world between the mortal world and the spiritual world, its like a buffer world between the two, some kind of tutorial experience. We are from the spiritual world, and Mr Eda, considering all you have experienced so far since the incident—the tidbits of the spiritual—you are now someone of the supernatural world, and once there, there is no going back to the mortal world; the only place to go is the spiritual world—our world—and the only way to reach there is through invitation, well, except for super freaks..."

Pausing her explanation, she collects another similar piece of paper like earlier—that she was stretching towards Masa Ed who never collected it—from one of her retainers and passed it to Masa Ed who collected it this time.
She resumed, "Mr Eda, signing that is your ticket to the spiritual world, the place where all your questions will be answered. Now, sign it, sign it, place your left palm on it, sign it, sign it..."
"Tch.." Masa Ed clicked his tongue, unaware of the twinkle in the angel of a woman's eyes, ignoring her weird excited voice like of a girl going crazy from eating mushrooms. Then having read a bit of the paper's content, he raised his head to look at her.
"This is a marriage contract?" He said, bringing the angel of a woman back to sanity. And at his verbal request for clarity, she smiled like she has been caught, but before she proceeded with her shenanigans, one of her retainers—the one by her right side—passed Masa Ed another paper. But this time, as Masa Ed collected the paper from her, he raised his head to look at her expressionless doll-like breathtaking face that captivated him briefly before he look at her lithe yet somewhat voluptuous young figure that is exactly like her identical counterpart who is frowning imperceptibly while looking away from the whole scene.
'Another out-of-the-painting beauty, but its not her.' Masa Ed concluded. Then before he peruse the paper he was given, he turned to the angel of a woman who is pouting—feigning a little girl that was wronged.
"The supernatural spiritual world thing you mentioned, is it a place?" He inquired.
"No." The angel of a woman faintly shook her head, replying in a low voice like she has not gotten over whatever made her pout.
She continued, "The world we talk about does not imply a physical reality; its the one about a network of certain kinds of people. Everyone; both us, Acolytes and mortal live on the same earth—the same plane—the difference being, we from the spiritual world have powers and spiritual knowledge unavailable to mortals, naturally, we have nothing to do with mortals except in special cases. And for Acolytes who are people of the supernatural world, someone like you, they have limited spiritual knowledge and powers. Basically, they are people eligible to enter the spiritual world and are waiting, they are being prepared..."
"I get it." Masa Ed interjected. "The mortal world is the lives of clueless mortals, the supernatural world... the lives of the so called Acolytes with esoteric knowledge, and the spiritual world, is the world of you guys who hold the real power of life and death. You guys are the one dictating fate?"
"Yes, exactly." The angel of a woman beamed in elation. "You want to join us right? Right? Right?..."
"Wait." Masa Ed quieten her and got her paws creeping on his arms off him before he focused his attention on the piece of paper holding a contract.
A moment later, having read its first part that introduce the contract written in golden letters, he raised his lowered head and lock gaze with the obviously both nervous and excited angel of a woman.
"Here it says you guys are from the golden order? What's that?"
"Ahem." The angel of a woman cleared her throat. She explained with eagerness. "The spiritual world is divided into factions, its like the mortal world that have nations. Our faction—the golden order—is the most prestigious of all the factions. We uphold and enforce the golden law of the spiritual world; you can say we are the police of the spiritual world..."
"You mean peacekeepers?" Masa Ed interjected.
"Yes, peacekeepers." The angel of a woman resumed. "We enforce the golden law and bring to justice those that break it; every faction and practitioner respect us, we are simply the best. You will join us right? Right? Right?..."
"Tch.. Keep off first." Masa Ed rid his arms off her firm grip. Then ignoring her pout, he passed her the newspaper together with the two contracts, an action that stunned and confounded not just her but her two expressionless retainers beside her.
"You said I am in danger because of a spiritual incident I am a victim of—that there are these people of the spiritual world seeking to capture me and bring me to justice? What are you guys conclusion on this exactly? Is it forcing me to be one of you my justice? Or the lives of a mortal like me doesn't mean anything to you until I become one of you? Please explain."
"Sigh..."
