The forest screamed.
Not with sound—but with intent.
Saiquen’s blood aura detonated outward, no longer controlled, no longer elegant. It churned violently around his body like a living storm, veins crawling across his skin as his power surged beyond restraint. Beside him, Kuro’s shadow expanded unnaturally, stretching across the forest floor, swallowing light, swallowing fear, swallowing reason itself.
They were not done.
They were only beginning.
Their killing intent crashed into Ren like a tidal wave, heavy enough to bend the trees, dense enough to crush the breath from his lungs. The ground beneath them groaned, roots snapping as if the forest itself feared what was about to unfold.
Ren stood his ground.
Lightning crawled across his body, but it flickered—unstable.
Kifo noticed.
A smile curved beneath the battle scars on his face. His aura sharpened, focused, cutting through the chaos like a blade honed for a single purpose.
“You’ve reached it,” Kifo said calmly, stepping forward. “Your limit.”
Ren lunged anyway.
Steel clashed against raw power as Ren and Kifo collided again, shockwaves exploding with every strike. Ren vanished, reappeared, struck—Haraka screaming as it pushed his body beyond what flesh should endure.
Kifo matched him.
Every blow Ren delivered was met, countered, redirected. Their movements were so fast the forest fractured beneath them, trunks reduced to splinters, earth collapsing into craters that smoked with residual aura.
Then—
Ren faltered.
Just for a fraction of a second.

Enough.
Kifo’s fist slammed into Ren’s chest.
The impact folded Ren in half.
He crashed to the ground on his knees, blood spraying from his mouth, lightning sputtering and dying around him. The world spun. His vision blurred.
His body screamed.
*Enough,* something whispered inside him.
*You’ve reached the edge.*
Kifo stepped closer, towering over him.
“This is where it ends,” Kifo said.
Then—
**The forest roared.**
Moriya screamed.
The ground split violently as his aura erupted, no longer restrained, no longer contained. Vines the size of ancient serpents burst from the earth, crushing stone, ripping trees from the soil as his power surged **tenfold**.
“This forest is not my prison!” Moriya shouted, his voice echoing like thunder. “It is my waiting ground!”
The air bent around him.
“I stayed here,” Moriya continued, eyes blazing, “because I was waiting for a worthy opponent!”
The forest answered.
Vines lashed out, obliterating demons, crushing blood constructs, tearing shadows apart. Saiquen staggered, blood recoiling violently. Kuro snarled as his shadows were shredded, forced back by the sheer will of the forest itself.
“No more holding back!”
Moriya moved.
The earth obeyed.
But it wasn’t enough.
Kifo raised a single hand.
Aura surged.
“**Hells… Gate. Open.**”
Reality cracked.
A literal gateway tore open from the ground beneath them—black, jagged, screaming. Heat and death poured out as the seal shattered completely.
And then—
They came.
A thousand demons erupted from the gate, clawing their way into the world, each landing devastating blows on Ren before he could even rise. Fangs tore flesh. Blades pierced bone. Aura slammed into him again and again, crushing, burning, tearing.
Ren was overwhelmed.
His body was broken.
His vision darkened.
He hovered inches above the ground, suspended by nothing but fading will, blood dripping slowly from torn skin. His aura flickered weakly, barely holding him together.
*Is this… it?* Ren thought.
Deep beneath the chaos—
Something stirred.
Kokuen awakened.
The Black Blade screamed—not in pain, but in evolution.
Its form warped violently, black steel folding into itself as ancient runes ignited across its surface. Space itself fractured around the blade, sliced not by force—but by **existence**.
Kokuen had changed.
It no longer cut flesh.
It cut **space**.
It cut **life**.
It cut **aura itself**.
Ren’s body trembled.
Then—
It broke.
His skin tore violently as massive black wings burst from his back, shredding muscle and bone only to be instantly reforged by overwhelming power. Dark aura engulfed half his face, twisting into something no longer human.
Ren hovered fully now.
Not standing.
Not falling.
Hovering.
Half-dead.
Half-divine.
*Ours,* Emma no Kage whispered, not from beside him—but from within.
*This form… is ours.*
Ren opened his eyes.
They burned.
He whispered a single word.
“**Fallen Angel.**”
The aura detonated.
A wave of annihilation ripped outward, erasing demons instantly, slicing them apart at the soul level. Kokuen moved without motion, cutting through space itself, demons collapsing before they even realized they were dead.
Ren moved.
Not fast.
Absolute.
Kifo stepped back.
For the first time—
Fear flickered across his face.
Ren appeared before him.
Kokuen passed through Kifo’s chest.
There was no resistance.
No blood.
Kifo froze, eyes wide, realization dawning too late.
Space folded.
Life ended.
Kifo fell apart—his body unraveling, erased piece by piece, his existence severed completely.
He was gone.
Kuro screamed.
Saiquen tried to flee.
They didn’t get the chance.
Ren turned.
One step.
One slash.
Shadow ceased to exist.
Blood evaporated into nothingness.
Kuro and Saiquen were **utterly destroyed**, erased so completely not even their aura remained.
The gate screamed.
Ren looked at it.
And it closed.
Silence fell.
The forest stood frozen, shattered, scorched, alive only because it chose to be.
Ren hovered for a moment longer.
Then the wings dissolved.
The dark aura faded.
His body collapsed.
And somewhere deep inside the Black Blade—
**Emma no Kage smiled wider than ever before.**
