Allow me to guide you through a tale of people who are more than they appear—ordinary on the surface, yet extraordinary beneath.
Hi, I’m the narrator of this epic gatha, a story that will take you on a roller coaster of emotions, action, mystery, and drama—and much more.
I’ll be your guide through this journey of people who may be fictional… but feel alive in every way.
So, let’s begin our journey together.
One fine morning, somewhere in London, stood a small house made of wood and stone—like those from the medieval era.
Inside lived a small and lovely family of four: a husband, a wife, and their two teenage children.
Just as the alarm was about to ring, the husband, Darwin Tanaka, woke up and quickly turned it off so that his wife, Aleina Tanaka, wouldn’t wake.
He looked at her with love and compassion before gently sliding out from under the blanket.
In their home, Darwin was the one who usually cooked, so he headed to the kitchen to prepare breakfast and lunch for everyone.
Soon after, their children woke up and got ready for school.
Finally, Aleina woke and began preparing for work.
Darwin and Aleina had two children—a daughter named Valerie and a son named Vincent.
Both were good-looking, smart, and calm for their age.
Most people who saw them thought the Tanaka family was strange because they lived such an ordinary life.
But what those people didn’t understand was how special these ordinary things truly were—
how much beauty there was in simplicity, something the world had long forgotten in its race to appear grand.
Time passed quietly in such uneventful days—until one calm Friday evening.
Aleina returned home early from work, and Darwin decided to make the most of it.
They laughed, talked, and enjoyed their rare free time together before the children returned from school.
Then, the doorbell rang.
They smiled, thinking their kids must have come home early.
But when Darwin opened the door, it wasn’t his children standing there.
It was a group of eight to ten middle-aged men.
Without a word, they pushed him aside and entered the house. The man in front spoke in Korean, asking another in the group,
“Is this the house?”
The other replied,
“Yes.”
This tale has been unlawfully lifted from Royal Road. If you spot it on Amazon, please report it.
Darwin froze.He understood the language.
“Who are you people?” he asked in Korean.
The frontman looked mildly surprised.
“Ah, good. You know our language. That makes things easier—my English isn’t great.”
Darwin’s voice hardened.
“What do you want? Why have you come to my house?”
The man stared at him silently for a long moment—then punched him hard in the gut.
Pain surged through him.
In that instant, Darwin realized these men weren’t visitors.
They were part of a gang—and they weren’t here for anything good.
“T-Take whatever you want,” he gasped, “just leave my family alone.”
But they didn’t listen.
Aleina tried to escape, but the others caught her.
For the next hour, they tortured the couple mercilessly.
Every second felt like a lifetime.
Then, the doorbell rang again.
Darwin’s heart sank—it was time for the kids to come home.
He wanted to shout, to warn them to run, but his mouth was gagged and his body too weak to move.
The door opened.
Both Valerie and Vincent stepped inside.
One of the men yelled, panic in his voice,
“That’s her, boss! She’s the one who killed our people!”
The leader turned to look at Valerie.
“This little girl? Are you sure she killed our people?”
“Yes!” the man barked.
“I’ll never forget the way she slaughtered them—in minutes!”
Darwin’s blood ran cold.
His daughter just stared back silently.
The gang tied the entire family together and continued their beating.
Darwin begged for mercy, but they didn’t stop—not until they grew bored.
The leader chuckled, shaking his head.
“I hate to waste such beauty, but our gang has rules. We never spare anyone who crosses us.”
He picked up a knife and hummed a tune, signaling someone to choose who would die first.
Darwin thought he’d be the one—but instead, the man pointed at Aleina.
The temperature in the room seemed to drop.
The air turned heavy.
And suddenly—all the crying stopped.
Even the gang leader froze mid-motion.
“Ah, ah,” Darwin muttered, his tone dark and unfamiliar.
“This won’t do. Looks like vacation’s over.”
With a sudden burst of strength, he ripped his hands free from the ropes.
The men stared, wide-eyed.
“Hey,” one of them said nervously, “has this old man lost his mind?”
Darwin’s voice was calm but cold.
“I said, aren’t you doing this wrong?
Aren’t you supposed to violate our women first, before taking away the last shred of our dignity?”
He laughed quietly, wiping blood and tears from his face.
“Val, didn’t I tell you not to leave any evidence behind?
I know you were bored and wanted to get out of this place, but really—look at the mess you’ve caused us.”
The entire room went silent.
The family stopped crying.
The gang stood frozen in confusion and fear.
The warm air of chaos turned into an icy stillness—
and in that moment, only Darwin and his family knew what was truly happening.
