Chapter 25: Jonathan and Zeppelis Training

  "How long do we train?"

  Jonathan asked.

"Not long. A year or so."

Jonathan's face paled. Speedwagon spoke up. "That won't work! DIO's slaughtering innocents right now! If we wait a year, countless people will die!"

"Exactly! We can't wait that long!"

Jonathan's fists clenched. DIO's still out there.

"Yare yare daze. That impatient? Fine. Two or three months."

  "But even that—"

"Too long? Relax. For you two, it's two or three months. For the outside world? A few hours."

Perilla snapped her fingers. A door materialized.

  "It appeared!"

  "Out of thin air?!"

  Speedwagon gasped.

"Beyond this door is another world. Time flows 1:365. One year inside equals one day outside."

  Everyone swallowed. That's insane.

"Jonathan, Zeppeli—train with me inside. Speedwagon, go to town. Tell Zeppeli's master and brothers about DIO. They're clearing zombies. Warn them about his Vaporization Freezing Technique. Don't let them die pointlessly."

  "Under... stood... but..."

  "You're worried about zombies?"

Speedwagon and Poco nodded. We can't use Ripple. How do we survive?

Zeppeli suggested, "I'll stay outside to protect them. JOJO trains alone."

Perilla shook her head. "No. You both train with me. As for Speedwagon and Poco—don't worry."

She raised her hand. Two golden energy orbs formed. Flicked them at the pair.

"Protective barriers made of Ki. Cover your bodies for one day. Zombies can't touch you. Even DIO can't harm you."

Speedwagon and Poco noticed transparent golden films coating their skin. Relief washed over them.

"Don't worry, big sis! We'll complete the mission!"

  Poco's fear vanished. Courage surged.

  "That's right!"

  Speedwagon puffed his chest.

  Perilla nodded. "Let's go."

She opened the Hyperbolic Time Chamber. Walked in. Jonathan and Zeppeli followed. The door closed. Vanished.

  Speedwagon blinked. They're gone?

This story originates from a different website. Ensure the author gets the support they deserve by reading it there.

  "Uncle, they just... disappeared?"

  "Yeah. Gods are incredible..."

"Let's go, Uncle! I'm worried about my sister."

  "Right!"

They headed toward Windknight's Lot under cover of night.

  Inside the Hyperbolic Time Chamber.

Jonathan and Zeppeli stepped through. Pressure slammed them down. They collapsed.

  "What is this?! So heavy!"

Zeppeli—experienced, sharp—realized the truth. "No. Not pressure. Our bodies got heavier."

Perilla nodded. "Correct. Gravity here is ten times Earth's. Spend the next few days adapting. Once you can move normally, real training begins. Good luck!"

She grabbed her fishing rod. Headed to the river.

Zeppeli turned to Jonathan. "JOJO, control your breathing. Use Ripple to strengthen your body!"

  "Understood, Mr. Zeppeli!"

Ripple energy coursed through them. They struggled to their knees. Sweat poured. Collapsed again.

Too heavy. Like nine copies of myself piled on top.

Even with Ripple support, it was brutal. Ordinary humans would be crushed. But Ripple healed their fractures and muscle tears. Their bodies adapted. Ripple grew stronger through repeated tempering.

Day 1: They could sit up.

  Perilla taught them breathing techniques.

Day 2: They could stand. Barely. Fell after two steps.

Day 5: They stood without collapsing. Movement still difficult.

Day 10: Jonathan walked normally. Zeppeli followed.

Day 20+: They fully adapted. Running. Jumping. No exhaustion. Their bodies and Ripple had leveled up.

"Impressive. Twenty days to adapt. For Earthlings, that's excellent."

  "Earthlings? Aren't you from Earth?"

  Jonathan asked.

"Partly. But I'm mostly Saiyan—a warrior race from space. You think this tail's decoration?"

  She swished her silver tail.

"It's real?! I thought it was a belt! You're an alien?!"

"Why can't aliens become gods? Besides, I'm not from your universe. I'm from another one. My purpose? You don't need to know. I mean no harm. Now—I'll teach you Ki cultivation."

They didn't doubt her. If she wanted to harm us, we couldn't stop her.

Since they practiced Ripple, they quickly grasped Ki's principles. But understanding and mastery were different things.

  Outside. Windknight's Lot.

Speedwagon and Poco entered town. Met Poco's acquaintance—a man named Kate.

  Kate suddenly transformed. Zombie. Attacked.

His tongue lashed out. Hit the barrier. ZZZT!

Burned to charcoal. He screeched. Tried claws next. Same result. Blackened limbs.

His screams drew three men—Dire, Straizo, Tonpetty. Zeppeli's brothers and master. They were clearing zombies.

They marveled at the barriers. Never seen anything like this.

The zombie tried to flee. Ran into Tonpetty's group. They destroyed it with Ripple.

Speedwagon approached. "You're Zeppeli's master and brothers, right?"

  Tonpetty—the eldest—nodded. "I'm Tonpetty, Zeppeli's master."

  "I'm Speedwagon."

  "I'm Poco."

  "Where's Zeppeli? And Jonathan Joestar?"

Speedwagon explained everything. When Tonpetty heard Zeppeli survived the dungeon, surprise and joy flashed in his eyes.

"A god? Ridiculous. Gods don't exist."

Straizo scoffed. I trained in China for years. I'd know if gods existed.

"She really is a god! She summoned a door and they vanished!"

  Poco insisted.

  "Probably a magic trick."

  Dire agreed with Straizo.

Poco turned to Tonpetty. "Old man, don't you believe me?"

Tonpetty smiled. Patted his head. "I believe you."

"Old man, that sounds so fake!"

  "Yeah, Master."

Tonpetty chuckled. "According to my divination years ago, today was Zeppeli's fated death day. His destiny was sealed when he became a Ripple warrior. No one could change it. Unless someone transcended fate. Or a god intervened. Zeppeli survived. Whether she's a god or not, she's godlike. Hahaha!"

I was ready to hear of his death. But he defied fate. How could I not be happy?

Speedwagon and Poco warned them about DIO's Vaporization Freezing Technique.

The trio frowned. That's not easy to counter.

Then Poco realized—his sister was missing. DIO must have taken her.

They had no choice. They'd face DIO.

  DIO's Castle.

DIO captured Poco's sister. Mockingly offered to turn her into his zombie bride.

  She refused. Slapped him.

  DIO's rage flared. "Kill her."

She ran. Zombies chased. Cornered her.

Poco jumped in front. Shielded her.

The zombie lunged. Bit down. CRACK. Teeth shattered. Electricity surged. Paralysis.

"Poco! Why are you here?! Run!"

"Don't worry, sis! We'll leave together!"

  Then—

  A voice from the shadows.

"My domain. You think you can come and go as you please?"

DIO emerged. Cold. Evil. Aura suffocating.

  Poco trembled.
