Chapter 59

Last night I had a dream.

I dream of a grass field.

  I was walking barefoot.

It was sunny. It was a blue sky with some clouds creating an unusual pattern.

I kept walking, running, and enjoying myself.

It was different from my reality.

  I was not sick.

  I was not weak.

  I was healthy.

That was why I instinctively knew that I was in a dream.

Although I knew it, I still wanted to enjoy it a bit more.

Then, as I walked across that vast grassy field, I suddenly arrived at a rock formation.

In the middle of that formation lay a rusty iron rod.

In my dream, I mindlessly walked toward that iron rod as I was enhanced by it.

Then, when I came to stand within arm's reach of that iron rod, I came back to my mind as if I was released from the spell.

I tried to look around, yet I could not. My gaze kept on that iron rod.

Unlawfully taken from Royal Road, this story should be reported if seen on Amazon.

Then, I extended my hand to that Iron sword; however, before I could touch it, my hand was halted.

  I looked up.

I saw a person. Yes, it was a person, yet I could not see her face.

I still remember her words, she said to me at that time.

“You do not have permission yet.”

Although I could not see her face, I knew she was smiling at me.

As I was at a loss, looking at her, she playfully put her pointing finger on my nose.

“You needed to pass the test first.”

I felt like she pushed my nose a bit when she said that.

With just a slight push from her, I fall backward. Then, I began to fall further. It was dark. It was too deep. That hole I fall into.

“It's your choice to make, child. I hope you leave no regret.”

With this sentence, I found myself bathed in a light.

  It was no longer dark.

  It was no longer cold.

  It was warm.

I could feel the warmth I grew accustomed to.

That was the warmth I have been longing for.

When I was enjoying it, it came abruptly to an end.

I tried to open my eyes. However, I could not.

It was long after that I could open my eyes.

I could open my eyes. The sun was already falling in the West.

Looking at the West, I began to resent the West. I resented the clergy faction. I resented Duke Ellon.

It was because of them, it was because of him, that I fell into this miserable state.

After a while, I shifted my gaze toward the entrance.

My attention was drawn to the writing utensils. I could even see a book. Everything was neatly arranged.

They were not here the last time I woke up.

It might be prepared by my helper.

Although everything was a simple set, I could see that they chose it with great care.

I tried to use it, and it was easy to use.

That was why I decided to write this diary. It is to kill time, to relieve my boredom, to leave something of myself.

  I even read the book.

  It was a comedy genre.

It was about a hunter getting tricked by his prey.

  It was a good book.

Will they bring me new books?

  I wanted to read more.

I hope they will bring some more books.

I am looking forward to our ‘next meeting’.

Usually, I would go out and take a walk around the hut.

However, today, I got distracted by this book and missed my chance to venture out.

  I am getting tired now.

I will enter the coma soon.

I hope I can meet you when I wake up next time, my helper.
