Chapter 43– Rea (King)
“Fear— an innate human emotion that is born with humanity at conception. Maybe fear is what keeps mankind grounded, a keepsake from becoming something devilish.
But, what if someone is born with no fear?” Austeci’s voice hailed down from the cosmos.
A book opened.
“The Sword Emperor.” Aurelian’s trembling fingers flipped to the next page.
Roughly three centuries prior to the current stage of madness, lied the rising Lavetonian empire.
The continent’s theatrics were set. The Kingdom of Velarune and the Archaian Theocracy waged war upon each other. A great war, as the historians of the current times say. In this period, Laveton had a rising star amongst their ranks.
“Arthur Rea.” A man dressed a suit and powdered wig spoke. “He’s quite extraordinary.”
“Proficient with the sword. Advanced in speaking— he’s become a Brigadier General within 4 years of servitude.” A woman sat down, smoking a cigar as she crossed her legs. “Just what is he..?” Her smile grew.
Arthur Rea. A boy from the boonies, the Outskirts travelled to the capital in order to create a name for himself. His eyes black, as if all color was negated from it. His hair was black, his figure was that of a legend. Standing at around 6’5feet, weighing into 208 pounds. Arthur Rea was insanely above average in Laveton. His sword skills— charisma, athleticism, speed, Soul Pact, all things that grew him attraction as he progressed through the ranks.

Time soon blew by, as Arthur had now made a name for himself. Major General at 19 years of age.
“The stage is set for me, isn’t it?” Arthur smiled as he walked into the Grand Quarters of the Emperor.
Aurelian stopped reading for a moment. A group of characters confused him with a great deal.
“The hell? I can’t read that.” His eyes concentrated onto the unintelligible characters. “Emperor ———“
*This emperor that Arthur served, nobody knows his name. Is he documented? Or maybe this grand library encompassing all history seemingly forgot about an emperor of their nation?* Aurelian gave it a thought before continuing to read.
Arthur Rea walked into the Grand Quarters, kneeling in front of his emperor.
“Your Honor? How may I be of service?” Arthur placed his palm on his chest.
The Emperor gave an order. An order to exterminate the impoverished bandits of the Lavetonian outskirts and slums. Arthur couldn’t possibly comply to such a demand!
His teeth grit, his eyebrows sunk into his face, his grip on the blade which rested on his hip tightened.
The Emperor was turnt around, facing his back towards Arthur.
The despicable Arthur! He had dashed at the emperor, unsheathing his blade, sinking his long sword into the flesh of his own superior. The sword pierced his heart, and the emperor’s time was over.
There it was— the resolve of the fearless.
Through that moment on, Arthur leaded a nation. Stepping up as Emperor Arthur Rea at 19 years old and 6 months, he had decided to commence the grandest military exercise in history of Maryen! The mobilization of 1,500,000 troops— all with adept training!
Prior to this, Arthur already knew what he wanted to do. He assigned military training positions to bandits from the Outskirts, training an abundance of legions in dirty fighting styles, how to survive and most of all— how to murder.
With his plan in motion, the seeds of sin were planted, along the most horrifying part of this era.
The Sword Emperor’s blade echoed in the continent.
In a realm of darkness, Falcon’s footsteps echoed.
thump! thump! thump!
He stepped heavily with his sword of light illuminating everything around him. He closed his eyes and concentrated his attention to the presence of Yumin, whom was sitting atop a rock.
“Oh I see.” Yumin’s voice was no longer confident.
Falcon’s blade dragged across the sandstone. His eyes were open and pupils small. His mouth was straight as a ruler.
*My only nightmare…*
Falcon gripped his blade.
Imaez and Marie jumped out from the underground city.
*is losing you.*
Naomi leaped from underground.
“I’m afraid the Lord Emperor was wrong.”
Yumin’s voice dropped to a low pitch.
“The Fearless King is here.”
Falcon Rea walked through the nestle of nightmares.
