15 years ago in Rafa Alora. One week before the attack. A much younger Khatar and Ilyanna are arguing in their childhood living room.

  "Stop asking me to take you with me, father would never let you come"

  Ilyanna smirks. "I will tell mom that you are going with him and you know she wouldn't allow it"

  They both hear a creak of a wooden board. They both turn slowly and see their mom watching them. She is an elf and is 37. Her name is Kaylessa and has brown hair. She is wearing gardening clothes and looks very angry. "What exactly wouldn't I allow her to do?"

  Both Khatar and Ilyanna gulp. As they both pause and scramble to find an answer, the door to the house opens. Everyone looks to see the father come in. He is a dark elf and is 43. His name is Eldrin and he has white hair. He is slim and muscular. He is wearing the same clothes as Khatar in the present time, but instead of it being white it is red. As he sees everyone's expression, he goes from happy to slightly scared. "Oh honey, I just came to take Khatar to-"

  "To train again? I told you, he is not going to that war" Kaylessa said angrily.

  Eldrin approaches her but she backs away. "Dear, you know he has to go, they are making everyone go. I will be beside him and I won't let anything happen to him"

  "You know what happened to my father and yet you still go out there and risk your life for a country that started this petty war, over some stupid land" she starts crying and walks outside.

  Eldrin looks at his children. "Khatar please get ready, I will talk with your mother but after that we must leave" Khatar nods and Eldrin walks outside.

  "Come on Ilyanna, let's go to the room" Khatar starts walking but stops when he notices Ilyanna is gone.

  Outside of the house Eldrin approaches Kaylessa as she is sitting on a bench beside the house. She is wiping away her tears. "Honey, I know this is hard on you, but he was drafted and I swear I will protect him"

  She looks at him with tears running down her cheek. "Why am I always surrounded by people who go to war? They always leave and never come back. My father and brother were lost to a meaningless war like this one. I can't lose anyone else"

  Eldrin hugs her with his head on top of hers. "I promise you we will return safely, Merlin's wish grants us strength and will protect us from anything that wishes to do us harm"

  She pushes him away. "When you return safely, you are going to have to pay for all that lying"

  Eldrin gulps and sighs. "Yes I know honey, just try and go easy on me please"

  Then suddenly Ilyanna crashes from the roof onto some bushes next to the bench. She shakes it off and then tries to get up to leave very fast. "Ilyanna, what were you doing?" Eldrin asks.

  She stops and slowly turns around. "I was just getting a nice view of the town, you know just surveying, definitely not spying or listening to anything"

  "Come here" Eldrin says. Ilyanna approaches him and he hugs her.

  "What's this for? I didn't do anything" Ilyanna says.

  "I love you, me and your brother will be gone for a while. But when we get back we will visit Evertide again"

  Ilyanna gets so happy and starts jumping around excitedly. "Yes they have the best ice cream cones"

  "So that's why you go there once a month and why you have grown a little belly" Kaylessa says.

  Eldrin freezes for a second and then lets out a nervous laugh. "Anyways, Ilyanna could you go get Khatar for me. We should get going"

  Ilyanna enters the house and looks for Khatar. When she enters their room, she sees him wearing his white cloak. "Whoa, you look so cool big bro"

  Khatar chuckles. "Thank you sis"

  But she notices he is shaking. She goes up to him and gives him a hug. "Don't worry big bro, you will come back after beating those Lizardmens butts"

  "Thank you Ily" he hugs her back.

  "Oh I also have something for you" Ilyanna says as she stops hugging and grabs something from her pockets. She pulls out a five leaf clover. "This will give you good luck and make sure you will come back safely"

  Khatar takes it. "Thank you so much, I'm not afraid anymore. I will see you when I come back. Now that I have something I need to return back to you, I promise you I will bring it back"

  "Yeah you better, that took me forever to find" Ilyanna says.

  Back to the present time. Khatar is holding the same clover that Ilyanna gave to him. Khatar is standing over her with Ali. Vodden, Namato, and Evelyn are nearby. Ali looks over at Khatar.

  "Is that a five leaf clover?" Ali asks him.

  "Yes, my sister gave it to me a long time ago, I just need to return it to her"

  Ilyanna opens her eyes. "What happened? My head hurts"

  "Don't get up, you got hurt really badly" Khatar says.

  When Ilyanna realizes who she is talking to she becomes silent. Khatar holds out the clover and when she sees it she is shocked.

  "Ily, I am truly sorry for not being there when you needed me most, maybe if I was their mother would still be alive. But I did make a promise to you. It costs me a lot of money but I have someone that replenishes the clover every so often, that way it doesn't wilt. Just so I can bring it back to you, just like I promised"

  Ilyanna starts crying. "I've missed you so much big bro"

  Khatar hugs Ilyanna and starts crying together with her. "I have missed you too"

  Namato walks over. "I knew you would cry someday, didn't picture it like this though"

  Khatar somehow got rid of all his tears and glared at Namato. "I swear if you hold this over me-"

  "What, you gonna cry again?" Namato said in a mocking way. Khatar got up and death stared at Namato.

  Ilyanna started laughing. "You found someone you really care about, that's good for you. I found someone I care about too, Ali"
