Eli positioned himself in the center of the spinning suns that represented the substance of Alora’s souls and each of the two Aloras on either side of him. He didn’t explain to them how this was going to go, he just wanted them to use their instincts to form this skill. To get things started he held out his hands and stopped the two suns from spinning, while it took a considerable amount of his focus and will, it was something he could maintain for a long time in a space that wasn’t real. Then the two with him each grabbed one, moving in perfect unison, mirroring each other's movements.
They still wanted to orbit each other so Eli was holding the bottom of them while the girls inspected and familiarized themselves with them. This close to the center of their souls, it was hard to parse them apart, the sensations were coming in so strong for both that it got mixed together. But what became clear was that he was connecting them together and this was making him more involved in the process than he wanted to be. The calm calculating Alora’s orb became ice magic, a mix between water and order. The passionate Alora with wonder in her eyes’ orb became lightning magic, a mix between chaos and fire.
Eli was getting excited, both types of magic are types he had not messed with yet and he was happy to have a source of it in his group, as well as happy for Alora because she would love it. But when runes didn’t start to form he got worried that they didn’t know what to do, he was about to speak up when they both looked up at each other, then at him and smiled. They both put one hand on the orb and the other hand on his hand that was holding the orb still and pulled power from him. This was alarming because he felt the power leaving him, but it wasn’t a lot and he didn’t sense malice or negative feelings from them so he let it go.
As they drew on his soul projection, a thin bar of black steel began to form and grow thicker. The bar didn’t touch either orb but it seemed to be fixed to their location. After it stopped growing intricate carvings started appearing on it, for what felt like ten minutes he watched in amazement as he slowly got weaker and the bar between the orbs became more intricate. Finally, it was finished, a staff that was a little over 6 feet with a six inch orb on each end, one deep dark blue and one light blue. They all three moved out of the way and it began rotating again, but slowly, the ice orb leaving snow in a trail behind it and the lightning one leaving a trail of sparks.
“Well, this could not be further from what I expected, but I am extremely pleased with it.” Eli said, and the two Aloras puffed out their chest and nodded with pride, sharing the same emotion at his praise.
“Ok, now I need to place a rune in here,” he said to them, they backed away a bit and he used some focused will to put the same rune here that he had placed in Bethany. After they both activated it, a swarm of butterflies flew out of it, thousands of them, they were different colors made of pure realm magic. Using his magic sense he could feel that a great many of them were changing into blue or white and going in the ice orb, red or purple and going into the lightning orb, or a purplish black and going into the staff between them. The staff seemed more dense but somehow also less real, this was part cartoon or obvious CGI from those old movies where you could tell it was a green screen.
After a few minutes the flow slowed to only a few a second and Alora’s soul was slowly changing as it absorbed the magic. Eli was about to leave when he stopped himself, drew a rune with Goshen’s help and handed it to the Ice Alora. It was the telepathy rune, but it didn’t talk to him, it connected her with Goshen.
“Goshen and you have some things in common, so with his permission, you two can now speak with each other.” Eli said to her. Lightning Alora was a bit disappointed, but he set one up near where the staff was that would work for outside Alora to talk with him, which was where Lightning Alora had the most influence so she jumped for joy and into Eli’s arms, kissing him furiously. He was glad he wasn’t also naked in this space or they would have had metaphorical soul sex right there with how aggressive she was being.
Eli jumped out at that point and they both opened their eyes, “Well, how do you feel?” he asked her.
“I need a minute, it's a crazy sensation, cold shivers and tingling shocks. Is this how it felt for you?” she asked Bethany.
“Not really but I think yours was different. Want to compare our new skills?” Bethany asked and Alora nodded excitedly.
Bethany showed hers first.
“Will Skill - Adrenaline Rush”
“Activating this skill may cost emotional memories.”
“Increase all stats by 20 to 40 percent for 1 to 3 minutes.”
“You are weakened after, amount depends on percentage and duration.”
“What?.... Up to 40%?That's crazy!” Eli said.
“I bet you could beat Eli with that running.” Alora giggled.
“I’m sure we will get a chance to ‘spar’ when we get home.” Bethany said with a raised eyebrow giving Eli her best bedroom eyes.
“Eh, uh….” Eli fake coughed and stammered a bit, Bethany was getting better everyday at turning him on. “Alora, let's see yours, it was quite the experience to make it.”
Alora displayed hers and read it along with everyone else since she hadn’t even seen it yet.

“Will Skill - Weapon: Apprentices Staff of Divine Will”
“You can bring into existence a magical staff of lighting and ice.”
“This is an object of your will and cannot be broken or taken from you.”
“This weapon was made with the help of a transcendent, granting bonuses.”
“Bonus 1: this weapon can be recalled to your hand.”
“Bonus 2: magic gains effects if passed through the rod first.”
“Bonus 3: Makers of this weapon can always feel each other's location.”
“Damn girl, that is some pretty broken magic.” Bethany said with a whistle.
“Goshen is telling me it's called a ‘Will Weapon’ and that they are very rare and very powerful. Apparently gods have fought planetary wars for them.” Eli explained.
Alora held out her hands and the staff appeared, “It looks heavy but it weighs almost nothing to me, I absolutely love it.” She gave Eli a big hug that lasted for a while, then a while longer. Eli was waiting for Bethany to step in but she just watched and smiled. Alora, with her head resting on his shoulder, said, “Before all the training and master/apprentice stuff starts, you are going to take me home and make love to me.”
“Me too, I’ll call you master if that's what you want.” Bethany said eagerly. She was teasing him because he had this stiff tension to him around female friends that he hadn’t slept with, so she had told Alora to make this happen before their more formal relationship began. Plus he was beyond imagining to sleep with so after Alora gets a taste Bethany will be able to tease her about how she gets it all the time and Alora is missing out. Bethany didn’t know why there was tension but they needed to have a good relationship so she could share to help that along.
“Enough teasing, do you want to test that out before we leave Alora?” Eli asked.
“This weapon is made from my soul, I know how to use it.” she said mockingly.
“Ok, let me just check a few things before we go. You guys should check stats and classes and such as well.” Eli said.
Eli pulled up his class first.
“Please confirm the class upgrade.”
“Chaos Demi-God of War - Mythic - 1 to all stats plus 3 free stats per level - skill upgrade”
“Confirm Y/N”
Eli chose yes since there wasn’t another option.
“Mythic class accepted”
“20 to all stats”
“Level increased from 99 to 109”
Then he checked his stats guessing that he would have a lot of free stats and he wanted to keep everything balanced so this is what it came out to be when he was done.
“Magic Level 109”
“Stats: Strength 99, Reaction 109, Vitality 109, Intellect 109, Wisdom 109, Resistance 109”
“Free stats: 0”
While waiting for the ladies to finish he was enjoying the creaking and groaning of his stats increasing. It was really as painful as he thought a jump that big would be but he wasn’t going to complain about that. What he was going to complain about was that the effectiveness bonus didn’t happen after he broke 100 in 5 stats at once, but with one stat still under 100, it was possible that was what was holding him back. He supposed that maybe it only happens if all stats break 100. Also his Will stat disappeared, which could mean the the stat isn’t tracked after a while or that his was no longer measurable, either way it was just another system thing he didn’t understand so he decided not to dwell on it.
They gave it another ten minutes after all three of them were done to let their bodies rest, then they held hands and touched the podium, vanishing from the dungeon and appearing outside. They were in the forest that existed inside a massive sinkhole near the center of the zone they were in. Looking around they didn’t see anything, no visible traps or people laying in wait. It looked almost exactly like when they left.
“Maybe I was wrong, maybe we worried for nothing. Can we go home now?” Alora asked.
“Quiet, both of you stay low and follow me.” Eli whispered and started walking slowly.
Eli sensed something, it was a small object not 2 feet away from where they came out hidden under a thorny bush with razor leaves. Instead of loudly shopping their way out, Eli led them out slowly using a bit of his will skill to hold the plants to the ground, or at least pull them down and out of the way. He didn’t disturb the object he had found since it was transmitting by the time he noticed it, if they couldn’t surprise them, they could at least give them a false sense of security. They got to the tunnel that led down and stopped just before going in and before being too visible from above.
“Ok, someone knows we are here, there was an alarm over by the dungeon entrance.” Eli explained.
“This is going to be fun,” said Bethany.
“Can I go out first?” Alora asked, “Give them a chance to stop this.”
Eli and Bethany looked at each other, then to her and shrugged. “If they hurt you, I’m going to kill all of them.” Bethany said, then gave her a pat on the back.
Alora walked out from under the tree cover with her staff in hand, she looked up but didn’t see anything, then she walked to the tunnel to get out but it was caved in. Instead of wandering around looking for another way up, she held out her staff and made it float in the air. Then the staff spun slowly, as it picked up speed she had it rotate around herself with small lightning bolts and sharp bits of ice flying off in every direction. Then it stopped dead still and started moving in different directions like it was a sword swinging, but with no one holding it. Then she dismissed it making it vanish as if it was never there, sitting down, she started to meditate.
Eli reached for his telepathic link to her, “Alora, What are you doing?”
She looked around for a second, startled, then went back to a meditation pose and replied. “I think I can fly on my staff, but it's going to cost a lot of magic so I’m recharging so I’m full when I get up there.”
A few moments later she pulled out the staff again and put it between her legs like a witch’s broom. Bethany immediately started laughing, she covered her mouth but it still wasn’t quiet.
“What is so funny?” Eli asked.
She barely stopped laughing long enough to say, “Didn’t you make that rod for her staff?”
“Yeah.”
“Well,” she snickered, “she has your rod between her legs.”
