The night passed within a flash, and the next day arrived. Eclipse's eyes fluttered open. Groggily, he walked out of bed and got ready. He had slept in. He strolled around inside his house looking for Duozian, and after realising he wasn't home, Eclipse stepped outside. Immediately, he was met with a sudden gust of wind. A tremor ran down Eclipse's spine for some unknown reason, but he felt extremely uncomfortable. He took his gaze to the taunting grey overcast in the sky, but there wasn't the slightest trace of rain.
"The sky… It's not usually this grey. Since it's this dark in colour, it should've rained by now." Muttering so, Eclipse walked towards the village. His heart tightened all of a sudden. An extreme sense of unease washed over him, causing him to stagnate. Misery built up in his heart, and the closer he got to the village, the stronger it grew.
"What… the hell is this feeling?" Eclipse muttered as he made a grabbing motion towards his heart. Another powerful gale swept over him.
Again, he was met with a powerful gale. Soon, the misery and severe depression he felt in his heart turned to fear and dread, and he forced himself to take a step back. As he turned his head around, shielding his face from the wind, his pupils contracted violently.
His house… was no longer there…
"What… What the hell is this? What's going on?!" Eclipse questioned.
Suddenly, a sickening squelch sounded. Eclipse instantly took his gaze to the floor, and an instant coldness of dread washed through him. An exceedingly large pool of blood had formed around his feet. Eclipse took a step back, his heart thumping with dread.
The vivid crimson colour under him burned deeply into his soul, turning his perception of the world into an alarming red.
Eclipse's world spun. He turned around and ran towards the village with all his might. He suddenly realised the pool of blood he was standing on had come from the village. Streaming down in thick scarlet was a river of blood. As his feet stamped on the thick fluid, it sprayed onto his clothing, dyeing it red.
Blood…
Blood.
As he got to the village, the structures were still there, but not a single person was to be seen. In fact, the blood he was standing on right now was so deep that it was already at knee level. The pungent stench of iron filled the atmosphere, but Eclipse didn't have the rationality to care.
Old man…
He suddenly felt a heavy feeling in his stomach, "That's right, old man! Where is he?!"
Saying so, Eclipse ran once again. As he went further and further into the village, it was harder and harder to forge forth as the height of the river of blood was drastically increasing.
As he neared the Village Hall, he coughed to catch his breath whilst grasping his knees. He stared in horror at the evocative scarlet lake underneath him, breathing heavily.

He sweated profusely, "...old man."
Finally gathering his resolve, he took his head back up to continue searching, but when he looked, he let out a cry and fell back into the pool, soaking his clothes in red. His eyes contracted soundlessly as he realised that the village was no longer there. It was merely an empty and desolate land drowned in blood.
As he frantically looked around, he saw nothing but long stretches of the land covered in vermillion, his vision slowly growing hollow and empty.
Suddenly, thick white mist covered the atmosphere like a blanket. Eclipse squinted. The vivid contrast of blood red and white mist made him feel nauseous. He got up and sloshed his way through the blood, subconsciously putting his arm out to have a sense of direction within the thick white fog.
"Old man!" Eclipse shouted. His voice echoed into the distance.
"Old man, where are you!" He shouted once again.
As he walked on, he suddenly tripped over something in the ground, and he blindly fell into the puddle. He sprawled on the floor, and when he frantically looked behind to see what was the cause of his fall, his breath caught in his throat, and his heart almost stopped.
He had tripped over a corpse. The corpse's face was pale, and there was not an ounce of life in his open eyes. Only the look of horror before his death. His petrified pupils contained a thousand nightmares but a single message: RUN.
Eclipse slowly got to his feet once again, and to his dismay, he realised there was more in the vicinity. Eclipse started recognising these people.
These were the villagers.
Soon, the white fog diminished, revealing more and more corpses, until Eclipse's field of vision was completely engulfed with dead bodies spanning for hundreds of metres. All these people were villagers.
Eclipse suddenly broke into a cold sweat. Old man... where's the old man?!
As he frantically ran through the myriad of dead bodies, he spotted a large, old, seemingly abandoned cabin. He sprinted towards it as fast as he could, his heart aching.
As he neared the cabin, the thick fog suddenly seemed to grow more and more excessive. Setting foot at the door of the cabin, Eclipse took a deep breath. He simply couldn't move and couldn't bear himself to open the door. Suddenly, he started hyperventilating. Taking consecutive deep breaths and gathering a large amount of willpower, Eclipse pushed open the door.
He couldn't see anything. Nothing but complete and utter darkness was in the cabin. Eclipse reluctantly took a step back, fear and unease overwhelming him.
Suddenly, a thick purple flash of lightning erupted from the skies and crashed next to him. In that instant, it reflected the image in Eclipse's eyes, which showed nothing in the cabin... except for three figures lying at the very back.
Two old, shrivelled-up corpses lay on the floor, their bodies decomposing as if it had been quite a long time since they had died. These two were people he knew all too well. His parents he had killed with his own hands. His eyes quivered robotically to the third, and when he got a clear look at whose body it belonged to, horror filled the deepest part of his soul to the echelon of his spirit, and he let out a roar, clutching his head.
He didn't dare walk into the cabin, but in that instant, his rationality completely faded, and his sanity faded into a black abyss...
Eclipse's bloodshot eyes shot open, bulging as he immediately sat up. Sorrowful tears streamed from his dark eye bags, and cold sweat drenched his clothes.
He clutched his heart, trying to catch his breath. His head felt light, and his body felt extremely weak.
Like this, he stayed in bed for a good twenty minutes. With his heart still racing, he slowly got up from his bed and looked at the clock. It was exactly 3:00 am. It definitely wasn't enough sleep; however, after the nightmare today, he may not be able to sleep for the next couple of days. The shadow of this nightmare will definitely stay with him for more than just a few days.
As he got out of bed, he heard voices from the hall. Curiosity filled his mind, and he got up and followed the direction of the voices. One of them definitely belonged to Duozian.
"Don't worry, I'll compensate every minute..." He heard Duozian say. The moment he heard these words, Eclipse's gaze instantly narrowed, and he hid behind the wall and sharpened his listening.
The conversation unfolded.
