As Melody walks she had talked to the bird some more;
So far she's learned that this universe of sorts has sections to it, different sections represent different stories and or fairytales within the book. If you go to the edge of a story you can enter another section with enough “Reason”, “Reason” is something that's needed to interfere with an already ongoing or completed story. If a story is ongoing and you want to interfere with its plot you have to create enough reason to do so, with an already completed story you'll need more reason as you'd be continuing it by interfering. For now Melody would have to head far east to the end of the bird's story to enter a story of regeneration.

As the girl walked and walked with the bird in her hands she asked if with enough reason she could exit this book. The bird responded that she already had enough reason to do so and that she just doesn't know how to use the power yet.
The girl asks for the bird to tell her how to do so, beginning to lift the bird up slowly from her stomach region to her eye level. The bird simply replies with a no. A hint of agitation can be seen in the girl as she squeezes a bit asking why.
The bird responds that if it did teach her now the girl would obviously just leave now without having helped the bird. The girl reluctantly agrees with its logic before lowering it once more and walking with a slightly faster, annoyed pace. Eventually she reached quite the mountainous region, far off into the distance she spotted a towering wall made of paper where the world would disappear into.
